The breakdown of that second game was so cool. I loved how you explained the flow of the game several turns before it ended. That kind of thinking ahead is really important for higher level play and you showed a really good example of it, even if there was a small misplay involved
7:37 If Exeggutor does NOT attack and knock out the Druddigon just yet and you don't find your second Leaf in time you lose, because Celebi gets infinit energy while Exec tanks. Thought I should point that out since the Celebi was already in a winning position, there was no need to rush things. In some scenarios not attacking can be the winning play!
With the mewtwo matchup, could see an agrument be made for using greninja to put pressure on the ralts / kirlias, as if you have greninja + gyrados on your turn you can always knock out the mewtwo without worrying about potions or anything anyways
@@TillyTCG The chance of flipping 4/4 heads with a Celebi is 1/16, or 6.125%. You said it was 20%. These types of mistakes have been spread throughout your last few videos. Doing the calculations in real time yourself is actually quite tedious, so I recommend just pulling up a spreadsheet if you want to make comments about probabilities in your videos. For example, the chance of flipping 3/4 heads is 1/4. That means that the chance of flipping 3 or more heads from 4 flips is 5/16, or 31.25%. I doubt you're doing that in your head mid match.
@TillyTCG While yes, the probability of a coin flip landing heads is independent of the last coin flip, it's still a binomial distribution. So it isn't 50/50 unless it's literally one coin flip

I just built this deck yesterday. I went through a similar process of deck building that you were describing. I think I watched your video yesterday about a bunch of deck lists and I saw this variant and thought that the greninja drudigon looked interesting. Yeah I have to say this feels like the best way to play the deck so far. I actually do well against Celebi and can get a win streak going.
I needed to stop playong today. I had 7 games in a row where I did not draw a single Professor's research. I had to check to make sure I had them in the deck. Turns I did but was extremely unlucky and playing behind in card draw everynone of those games.
Thoughts on Dragonite + Mew ex + Druddigon? I've been losing with it due to abysmal luck and my lack of awareness (DO NOT try to Genome Hack a Pika lmao), but I do think it's a better version of Dragonite.
I really dislike playing stage 1 and stage 2 lines in the same deck with no way to tutor for evolutions just makes the deck really inconsistent, more often than not you just end up bricking all your evolutions and literally nothing u can do about it, it's really the worst feeling... I've been having way more success with a 2-2 starmie and vaporeon line instead, starmie allows u to pressure decks like celebi early and vap lets u pivot out starmie to gyarados to clean up, the only problem is u run 3 stage 1s and no high hp basic as your opener so u might lose tempo to some really fast pokemon that can swing on turn 1 like exegg ex

@14:35 even without the misplay, you would have needed to top deck Leaf to survive. Otherwise Druddigon would just get two shot by the Exeggutor. That’s why I run Mew ex + Budding Expeditioner in my Gyarados deck. Between Leaf, Budding, Misty heads + attach for turn to Mew, X-Speed, or Research drawing X-Speed, you have plenty of ways to retreat Mew after your opponent plays Sabrina.
Mew Ex is less good as stall than drudigon because it gives two trophies. Also, mew ex gets one shot by the three most played meta decks (mewtwo, celebi and venipede)
Wait if you use leap out it won’t burn the energy right? So you didn’t need to leaf on that first match. At least that’s how it works with Abra’s teleport he keep his energy idk if it’s different with magikarp
@ no at 5:10 you attached to magikarp and used leaf instead of just leaping out and switching to drud. In the video you said you did that to preserved the attachment so do you lose it? I thought it worked the same as abra’s teleport
7:45 I feel like they should've not attack with that exegutor for at least 2 turns then keep attaching with celebi for higher chance of one shotting Gyarados. Kinda misplay there a bit.
I did this vs a fighting deck earlier. He had his golem set up which would revenge my egg so I just set up celebi and victrebell. Better than you think, actually. I've been playing this, and it's really solid.
If the mewtwo deck doesn’t get gardavoir up asap AND you get greninja up then you can call it a win. Gets tough when you don’t get ninja up
