They knew and they wanted sign to be viewed only by themselves so they started to block public access by these ridiculous signs. In other countries they would be fined. But not in US. In US the rich will buy justice. Poor will stay with nothing
@Jb 318 Maybe learn some history BEFORE you call other people names. That sign was erected in 1923. If those old houses were there since the 40's. that would be AFTER that sign was put up. It's not hard to do a quick google search before you make a fool of yourself.
@Jb 318 Well I'm not gonna argue with you because it seems like you forgot more than I know. I was there to see the sign, but took a bus and then got off and hiked up this big windy hill until I came to a fence. The sign on the fence said that was as far as you can go and the property was protected by surveillance by the police. There was a house on my way down where kids were selling lemonade. They told me they make a lot of money selling lemonade to tourist visiting. I do know at one time it used to say Hollywoodland or something like that. I saw on the internet that they were selling a house in that area a few years ago and showed a picture of the Hollywood sign from the one bedroom and it was very close. I could sit in that room and wake up to that sign everyday.
I did this Aug 21, 2018 - yes this route works! As mentioned by another commenter, she missed a turn on Heather in the video. Route is : Lake Hollywood Park, park on canyon ( 3160 N. Canyon Lake Drive in GPS) Walk up Mullholland drive Right on Durand Left on Heather Left on Ledgewood Sharp right on Rockcliff Left on Duronda 3390 Duronda drive is the cement wall, just pull the gate open. It's not private property. Amazing view! Some people did appear to just walk up and around Mullholland the whole way to get to this spot, but I'm not sure and that way said it was trespassing even on foot which made me nervous so I didn't go that way! All the other official looking signs are just to try and restrict vehicle access, you're fine on foot. Happy hiking!
Thank you for the update and confirmation that the opening in the wall is still accessible. I'm going to be visiting next month and hope to go there, too.
Queenie Chicklet Talag we parked where she said and it took about half an hour up. If you park there and then put the address of the gate in and click walking on google maps it will bring you right to it. Up the “closed” streets and all. I screen recorded the directions anyway just in case internet wasn’t working but I didn’t need the recording in the end.
3390 Deronda Drive is the adress that you should tell your uber ro go. Went there in March 2019 and the gate there is open from sunrise to sunset. After you pass the gate it takes you like 30 seconds to walk in front of the sign. If you want to hike at the top behind the letters it will take you like 30 mins.
To those who ask if this entrance is still there - it is, as of 19 Sept 2023. This is a very helpful video, thank you. However, I decided to walk from Lake Hollywood Park through Innsdale track, then through Mulholland Hway. There are excellent views of the sign on the way. And the Mullholland Hway IS available for pedestrians, if you take this route you arrive at the gate from the left. From Lake Hollywood Park it took us some 30 minutes to get to the gate; from the gate to the sign itself by Mt Lee Dr another 30 minutes (we are reasonably fit). Enjoy!
Thanks for this; we followed these instructions a few days ago and it led us exactly to the 'white wall' with the 'gap' leading to the final viewing point; it is important to note that the archway is no longer there, but the gap remains. I note that on google earth, it looks like there is no gap through the 'white wall'.......don't be put off.....i think it may have been photoshopped, the gap is indeed there and will lead you to a great view!
June 2024 Update: This still works, but we didn't walk it. We did rideshare to get to the gate. I don't recommend driving because there is nowhere to park. The trick is there is a guard standing at Deronda Drive and Rockliff, but I'm so glad I watched this video because he is literally just there to intimidate you and prevent you from parking if you're driving. He stopped us and angrily asked what we were doing. The rideshare driver got nervous but I rolled down the window and confidently told him we were going to Deronda and Muholland and he said "are you a resident" and I snapped back "no" and he let us through LOL. So she was right, they do try to intimidate and trick you, but you just have to be confident in that it's a public road you have the right to be on it, guard or not, and don't park. Once we got to Deronda and Muholland the white gateway thing was open. Take the right through the arch. Not the left, then a left to walk up to the sign (check google map satellite view before you go). Also realize that google maps and cell reception might not work once you get onto Deronda, so plan the trip and know where you're going beforehand or download the map. You may not be able to catch rideshare going down. I recommend hiking the trails 2 hours to Griffith Observatory, if you're able. It's a nice hike, or plan to walk down to Beachwood for cell service.
I did the exact route like in the video. It took me 55 minutes from Lake Hollywood Park up the hill, behind the sign. It's an easy path, everything is tarred. On your way up, there is enough places to take pictures of the sign. I realy recommend it...!
Followed this path this past week and it definitely works! I will say that parking at the closest part of the park is listed as only 15 minutes, but I hiked to the top of the sign and back in about an hour and 45 minutes and got back just as parking authority had showed up. Unless there's parking elsewhere in the park without a time limitation, you might get a parking ticket. That said, you can definitely hike to the gate, take a picture, and hike back in around 30-40 minutes, so unless you're going to the top of Mt Lee, you should be okay. As she mentioned, this is a very rigorous hike - if you're not in good shape, just have someone drop you off at the gate entrance at the top of the neighborhood.
LOL, Rich people are so silly. The Hollywood sign was erected in the 20s long before (most) Beachwood Canyon residents were even born. LA County has a lot of hillside properties - should have picked another one.
Not to mention, it has increase the value of their home significantly. I guarantee you that when selling their house, it is prominently noted that you can see the Hollywood sign from their property!
First off, she nails it. Although we stayed at an Airbnb off Ledgewood, all the other directions were spot on. Got to the gate and it was unlocked. I felt like I hit the lottery. 4 of us hiked up to the back of the sign from the Airbnb and it took 2 hours round trip with at least 20 minutes of picture taking. THANK YOU!
I would actually like to thank you for posting this video even though it was five years ago. I followed your directions to a T and made it to the top. Anybody who does do this needs to understand that from the park it is about 2 miles and like you said multiple times very steep. But once you get up there it’s absolutely worth it.
Just went there this morning (19th April). We drove all the way to the white wall with green door. Easily found free parking within 50 metres of the trail head. Just punch in 3390 Deronda Drive into your GPS and you'll be good to go; easy peasy. The green metal door was closed, but just pull it hard and it'll open; no need to use a code. The "hike" to the front facing viewpoint was literally 5 minutes. The hike to the back of the sign was 2 hours return.
Thank you for posting. Grew up and lived in Hollywood and actually climbed up to the back of letters of the sign, when you could actually do that-I was around 10, in the late 70's, but climbed a lot of things
This video was an excellent play-by-play. We followed, and we made it to the Hollywood sign. This video helped end a four-year-long quest for the perfect Instagram post. Thank you so much to the folks who took the time to dispel the myths and find the right path.
My cousin and I took this route. Completed it in 2 hours. Would have been shorter but I am overweight so I had to stop a few times. But we made it regardless. Just be respectful to the homeowners on the way up. Also, it is VERY steep.
i went over the summer to LA and it’s the best. i followed this video and i got great pictures of the hollywood sign! it’s so worth it and you won’t regret it! thanks for this video!
I followed your video instructions three weeks ago AND THEY WORKED TO THE T!!! We even saw Justin Beaver! Thanks a bunch!! if you haven't gone go within the next two weeks because they are going to close down this directions and they're only going to let you do the hiking trail thanks a bunch it was awesome experience after 30 years in this city I was able to see the sign
Florinda Meza The best is to go drive direct to beachwood ledgewood deronda drive then hike or without hike but at night but long drive and I saw justin timberlake and justice league
Florinda Meza hi! Me and my family are going there next week, could you please help mr how to get to the sign. We are taking uber from our anaheim hotel. What we will tell the driver? Thank you in advance🙏🏻👍🏻
If you're taking Uber or Lyft, you can have them drop you off on Deronda Dr. at that gate in the video. If you're driving parking is very limited on Deronda Dr. That's why she said you should park on Canyon Dr. Mt. Lee is one of 9 summits in Griffith Park. If anybody tells you that the Hollywood Sign isn't in Griffith Park, they don't know what the hell they are talking about. Also, the Hollywood Sign is on Mt. Lee, NOT Mt. Hollywood! Too many people on Instagram put Mt. Hollywood as their location when they're at the Hollywood Sign.
“Don’t even think about parking here” Never seen a sign with that kind of verbiage before Lol 😂 PS: about how long do you estimate the hike was to get to the last Hollywood sign location? Thanks
Just wanted to say THANK YOU.. I was in LA for fashion week and had 4hrs left before flying back home. They made it next to impossible to get a glimpse of the HS even going to Griffith Obs was crazy.. but I was determined to get pics and see it up close and an so thankful for this video
We just got back from California and we’re gonna go to the Hollywood sign but then we found out it was a four mile hike. We asked a tour guide dude and he said the go to Hollywood lake park. We ended up driving past a ton of celebrities houses and got a perfect view of the sign. This video is very helpful for new LA tourists.
I love how the people in the neighbor purposely bought a house near the sign knowing that it’s a very popular tourist attraction and many people are going to visit it, and then gets mad when people come to their neighborhood to see the sign
You don't get it. It was NEVER a popular tourist attraction until very recently - I know because I grew up up there and it was very rare to ever see a tourist for many decades. Many of the people who live there have done so for many, many years and loved the area because it was a peaceful sanctuary with lots of wildlife and lovely city views. Noone who is native to the area pays any attention to the sign, which is nothing impressive at all in person.
thanks for posting, I was in LA last week and tried twice take a nice picture of the Hollywood sign. What happened was that first, my Lonely Planet guide sent me to Runyon Canyon, then Gmaps to the Griffith Observatory. I like hiking, so I still have enjoyed it, but I will definitely need to return to LA and follow your indications!
July 23th, 2021 For those of you wondering if it still work then yes it still work, thats the date when i went and my god did it actually worked! Please do yourself a favor and go for this route. You will save yourself of at least an hour and half of walking and less exhausting.
Thank you so much for this brilliant piece! .. We asked Uber to take us to the Hollywood Sign and ended up at Griffith Park! .. I called another Uber and asked to be taken to the junction of Dorada and Mullholland and we were taken to just a hundred yards or so walk to your perfect picture spot! .. :-)
after you were done taking pictures, were you able to book an uber/lyft back? Does that place have network issues or Uber/Lyt not coming there to pick up?
Traveled there today! Ubered right up to 3390 Duronda drive and it was great from there you just go right through the door she shows in the video and then follow the trail. Once finished go right where you were dropped off and order an Uber back. It was great and convenient! The trail isn’t hard just have to go up hill and then down but it is all paved and worth it for the views!
Courtney Paul it took a little bit over an hour but we stopped behind the sign and took lots of pictures and enjoyed the view. It’s truly amazing. The hike takes you behind the sign. When you get to 3390 duronda drive just go through the gate and then you walk up and there is a platform that is an amazing view from the front.
Thanks for the video! Very useful but you missed small left turn on "heather"...i got lost for like 10mins walking before i start questioning if im going on the right path!
Yes was there once. Even before I saw this video, also when you get there, you will find people actually guiding you to the location because it's a way to show the people that live there that it belongs to everyone. Easiest way it's like she said. The public park. Lake Hollywood park
I feel bad that I just now discovered your video, because the last time I visited Hollywood, all I knew about in terms of getting there, was the Griffith Observatory. I wish I would've went the way you did and got to see it significantly closer. It was still cool going up the Hollywood trail and still seeing it, though.
If you go to 6010 Deronda Dr. and after you are done taking pictures, will you able to book an uber/lyft back? Does that place have network issues or Uber/Lyft not coming there to pick up?
I followed this route on 9th November and it works perfectly. However, it is more of a hike than the maps allow you to appreciate. I walked all the way from Hollywood/Highland Metro stop. This dictates at least a one hour walk to Lake Hollywood and is all uphill. I then followed the path up Mullholland/Durand etc as shown in the video. These are roads with ups and downs and quite steep and windy. Eventually you come to the white and green gate as shown. Go through it and walk 30 seconds to where this woman has her picture taken. The final part of this route takes you offroad through a sort of trail. This route all appears quite harmless due a lack of 'activity' and a clear path to walk. However, at the topside entrance you are warned about the existence of mountain lions and rattle snakes!!! Due to this I didn't walk back that way and did get seriously lost in a neighbourhood which required at least a 3 mile hike to get back anywhere near civilisation. The additional hike to get round to the back of the Hollywood sign from where you have your photo taken initially is an INCREDIBLY LONG hike and not just around the corner. It is at least 45 mins each way and up a very steep climb, however the views are worth it at the top. Be warned though, you can't touch the Hollywood sign or even get very close and you will need a super wide angle lens to get the whole sign in one picture. Take plenty of water as I went through the two bottles I had in no time, at least 4 will be required per person. I almost passed out not having more than two.
You can also take the wisdom tree hike trail at Cahuenga Peak . There’s a plenty of free parking at 3500 wonder view drive & lake Hollywood drive. Walk up wonder view drive until you reach a yellow gate and that’s where the trail begins.
Thanks! But you could walk up Mulholland Drive all the way to the base of the trail up the sign. Way much easier. No need to take the winding roads down Durand drive, etc. It was worth the view though.
I walked down Hollywood boulevard then went back to walk to the sign. I literally walked 5-10 miles that day. I took beach wood drive up and walked around the houses. Make sure your phone is fully charged and you have water/ snacks at the beachwood market store.
I'm coming! From London, England to Mount Lee, Hollywood. August 2018. Who knows what changes might occur in all that time so I will have to keep myself updated. I do not intend to be disappointed......
Wish I seen this videos ... tried to get to the sign today but there were workers directing traffic and yes I typed up the Hollywood sign and it led us to the observatory which they wouldn't even let us go there they jistbtold is to find parking somewhere and hike there ... thanks for the video will follow ur instructions in the future
A LIFETIME AGO WHEN I WAS IN ELEMENTRY, 4TH ,AND 6TH GRADE, BACK IN 1979 OUR SCHOOL TOOK US ON THIS FIELD TRIP AND WE WERE HIKING THROUGH THE HILL.SUDE AND IT HAD TRAULS AND ALL, AND THE HOLLYWOOD SIGN WAS JUST ABOVE US, MORE THAN TWICE AS CLOSE AS U ARE NOW...IM MEN WE WERE SO CLOSE THAT ME AND SOME OTHER STUDENTS JUST HIKED UP THE HILL AND ON THE THE LETTERS WE STOOD RIGHT BY, IT WAS SO SO KOOL!! AS THEY WERE FILMING WAY DOWN ON THE STREETS OF THE BOTTOM OF THE HOLLYWOOD SIGN
Here's a fun tip: Don't live under a famous landmark if you don't want tourists around your neighborhood! Which were constructed first doesn't matter. The Hollywood sign is more popular than your house. Deal with it or move.
Guys....what’s wrong with Griffith? I went there and it was STUNNING. Not only is the Hollywood sign there in all its glory, you have a beautiful 180 vista of greater Los Angeles at an historic landmark (the observatory is actually really cool in itself) and Mulholland in all its majesty and views of San Fernando is right there, 5 min up the road. People have this obsession with needing more, more, MORE...it’s like come on. When is enough finally enough? There’s more than you could do in a lifetime all around you in LA.
there's a grumpy home owner there who tried to block us from getting near the sign, there was a police officer present and we were waiting if he would tell us to back off, but he didn't, so we figured out that the lady has no right to block the way. We were on foot, we were quiet, the lady made us step aside while she drive to her house, then she came back, told us to get off her property, we were standing right off the road, we obediently did stepped back in the road, other hikers just went straight, ignoring her, after awhile, we also went straight and as we were walking, i observe some hikers who have no care at all that they were in a residential area, talking and laughing loud, and i saw a girl spit her gum, well, if ever you hike that area, please be quiet and respect the cleanliness, and park only where you are allowed to, which is in the lake park area....
Just did this today. Just so you know, address is wrong. That address takes you to a hiking trail. You should go to 3160 N Canyon LAKE dr. Everything else was exactly as described. Great video and great views!
The path to where you take the pictures, was it all regular streets and residential neighborhood? And did you take the route to the top which is the backside of the sign?
Bassam Butto Hi! Yes, it is all residential. As the video says streets are very narrow and there are parking enforcement patrols everywhere so I do recommend parking in Lake Hollywood Park. We found parking very easily. From there it’s like a 30min walk. It is not super rough but it’s definitely tiring. We did not do the back part, we were tired and didn’t find it that interesting. I believe once you get to the front part you just keep on walking up the hill. Let me know if you have any other questions I can help you with!
Giselle Pozo Thank you for your response! I was also wondering, about parking but you you’re saying it’s easy to find parking at Lake Hollywood Park? Was it for free? And do you remember if that path is actually right to get the best shot? (Mulholland Dr -> Durand Dr. -> up Ledgewood Dr -> Rockcliff Dr (6200W) -> Deronda Dr While wall & green fence (6010))?
Bassam Butto Yes, parking was easy at the park. It is street parking and it is for free. I guess it will depend mostly on the time of the season you plan on going but we find a spot in less than 3 min. Probably because most people just stay at that place so there’s always somebody leaving. For your second question, yes, we did that exact route. It’s easy to follow, you’ll see. You’ll even see all the signs mentioned in this video so you’ll know you are in the right track :D
Thats what I literally did today, I went to the grittith park & than it took me an hr going all the way up until someone finally told me to go to lake hollywood park & was able to take the shot
Up around the Hollywood Sign is mostly hiking trails and Mt Lee Dr. Why can’t the city build an access road to Mt. Lee Dr. from the Griffin Observatory with a small parking lot so that tourists don’t have to go through the Beachwood neighborhood?
That is 3390 Deronda Drive, I’m right here writing this comment. Better if you use Uber because we drove our car and Parked for 5mins to take the photo, but we didn’t find a place to park.
@@karinajuarez87 1minute. We took the photo, and we left right away. There is not really a parking space, we were lucky that we could park in the street (it's narrow, we parked right at the door of a house).
How far after the white wall is the second photo location, before you hike to where the sign actually is? I'm going in a few weeks and would love that "money shot"!
What happens if you just stay on Mulholland drive? According to Apple apps and google, that road takes you straight up to the hike starting point without going down any side streets
I don't feel sorry for those folks. They knew damn well the Hollywood sign was there before they bought their homes.
They knew and they wanted sign to be viewed only by themselves so they started to block public access by these ridiculous signs. In other countries they would be fined. But not in US. In US the rich will buy justice. Poor will stay with nothing

Thanks a bunch!! if you haven't gone go within the next two weeks because they are going to close down this directions and they're only going to let you do the hiking trail thanks a bunch it was awesome experience after 30 years in this city I was able to see the sign
Is it already closed? :(
its really long walk but its worth it..
Florinda Meza hey did u use the map for siri or what was the best way I'm dumb with directions
Wich adres should i give the driver from the uber?
Christel V 3390 Deronda
@@frankg7172wow great!
I am a UBER - LYFT driver it is NOT likely drivers will go up there to the Hollywood sign, it is WAY TOO MUCH WORK for $10 dollars
Followed this video last week and they worked . Parking at Lake hollywood park is your best bet . Morning is the best time to go
jovanhy martinez how long was the hike?:)
jasmin Mmm roughly 30-45 min i believe
We just got back from California and we’re gonna go to the Hollywood sign but then we found out it was a four mile hike. We asked a tour guide dude and he said the go to Hollywood lake park. We ended up driving past a ton of celebrities houses and got a perfect view of the sign. This video is very helpful for new LA tourists.
How you know what celebrities house was who’s?
Thank you so much. My wife and I never walked/hiked so much. But we got the amazing view and thanks to you guys. We really appreciate it!
It works!! ☺️ just hiked up today 🌷
This video was super helpful! I went up to the hiking trail three days ago, August 2019.
Thank you so much for this!!!
Just did this hike on 1.1.2020. Thanks for the tips!!!
August 28th 2022. This way is still good. Someone in the comments made directions. It's perfect.
I love how the people in the neighbor purposely bought a house near the sign knowing that it’s a very popular tourist attraction and many people are going to visit it, and then gets mad when people come to their neighborhood to see the sign
They're hypocrites, aren't they?
You don't get it. It was NEVER a popular tourist attraction until very recently - I know because I grew up up there and it was very rare to ever see a tourist for many decades. Many of the people who live there have done so for many, many years and loved the area because it was a peaceful sanctuary with lots of wildlife and lovely city views. Noone who is native to the area pays any attention to the sign, which is nothing impressive at all in person.
We made it!!!! So glad I found this video. Thank you.
I like this! A nice little back door entry!
We drove our converted ambulance up there and parked on Rockcliff Dr. It was a great hike and wonderful expeience!
Great place I love hiking in these mountains 👍
This weekend, I just walked to the Hollywood sign from Griffith Observatory. It is a 3 mile walk along relatively easy, well marked trails.
thanks for posting, I was in LA last week and tried twice take a nice picture of the Hollywood sign. What happened was that first, my Lonely Planet guide sent me to Runyon Canyon, then Gmaps to the Griffith Observatory. I like hiking, so I still have enjoyed it, but I will definitely need to return to LA and follow your indications!
OMG !!!! Thank you so much !!! we followed exactly the way you said and saved so much of our time !!! Wonderful
We try this way and works perfectly. Thanks!!!! We spent great time!!
July 23th, 2021
For those of you wondering if it still work then yes it still work, thats the date when i went and my god did it actually worked!
Do these instructions still work?! I'm heading to LA in a few weeks
How long did it take you to go up the hill and back? Did that take you behind the sign or just to a clear view of the front? Thanks!
Thanks a lot! We followed your instructions and took some great photos!
Lady, you are da man! ;-)
You saved our day! Thank you so much for sharing!
This is a GREAT video! My personal fave way to do this hike is via Canyon Drive off of Franklin Blvd in Hollywood.
Gorgeous host!
I am a UBER - LYFT driver it is NOT likely drivers will go up there to the Hollywood sign, it is WAY TOO MUCH WORK for $10 dollars
Martin Taylor
Can you bring stroller to hike?
Sandy Belle I really wouldn't recommend that. It's very tiring even walking alone..
Is this route actually legal? Are the signs that say you'll get fined fake?
You can also take the wisdom tree hike trail at Cahuenga Peak . There’s a plenty of free parking at 3500 wonder view drive & lake Hollywood drive. Walk up wonder view drive until you reach a yellow gate and that’s where the trail begins.
Thanks! But you could walk up Mulholland Drive all the way to the base of the trail up the sign. Way much easier. No need to take the winding roads down Durand drive, etc. It was worth the view though.
Thanks for your efforts ❤
I can’t like this video ENOUGH!!!!
I walked down Hollywood boulevard then went back to walk to the sign. I literally walked 5-10 miles that day. I took beach wood drive up and walked around the houses. Make sure your phone is fully charged and you have water/ snacks at the beachwood market store.
This was helpful. Thank you
I just went there! I hiked all the way from Canyon Drive to the Hollywood Sign (2.5miles)
Thanks for sharing this. Will have to keep this in mind if I ever make it over to LA.
I am going LA next month so will follow your tips. thanks
mattypop39 hello did u take the trip was the directions right ?
I followed your directions, it was short and fun also great views. Thanks for putting the address too!,,
A LIFETIME AGO WHEN I WAS IN ELEMENTRY, 4TH ,AND 6TH GRADE, BACK IN 1979 OUR SCHOOL TOOK US ON THIS FIELD TRIP AND WE WERE HIKING THROUGH THE HILL.SUDE AND IT HAD TRAULS AND ALL, AND THE HOLLYWOOD SIGN WAS JUST ABOVE US, MORE THAN TWICE AS CLOSE AS U ARE NOW...IM MEN WE WERE SO CLOSE THAT ME AND SOME OTHER STUDENTS JUST HIKED UP THE HILL AND ON THE THE LETTERS WE STOOD RIGHT BY, IT WAS SO SO KOOL!!
Thanks for the strategy it actually worked for me and my father
Thanks for the guidance loved it
Thank you for the tips!!! 💖💖 we made it there!!
Very helpful video ❤ Thanks for sharing
Hi, question: is the gap still there? In deronda Dr
-> up Ledgewood Dr -> Rockcliff Dr (6200W) -> Deronda Dr
While wall & green fence (6010))?
Bassam Butto Yes, parking was easy at the park. It is street parking and it is for free. I guess it will depend mostly on the time of the season you plan on going but we find a spot in less than 3 min. Probably because most people just stay at that place so there’s always somebody leaving. For your second question, yes, we did that exact route. It’s easy to follow, you’ll see. You’ll even see all the signs mentioned in this video so you’ll know you are in the right track :D
hey, just want to know that the direction in the video still works? im planning to follow this video :)
Btw thank you so much, we did it the last weekend!
It’s a really fun hike from the Observatory though! We cut through the hiking trails to get on to the sign!
American Paprikash so what's the best way to get to the sign? I'm planning on going Sunday
That is 3390 Deronda Drive, I’m right here writing this comment. Better if you use Uber because we drove our car and Parked for 5mins to take the photo, but we didn’t find a place to park.
How long was the walk from 3390 to the view?
@@karinajuarez87 1minute. We took the photo, and we left right away. There is not really a parking space, we were lucky that we could park in the street (it's narrow, we parked right at the door of a house).
Thank you this really helps
Went for a hike behind the sign for sunset, when were coming back was sooo dark and no people around, I was thinking im in a horror movie haha
Thank you so much for this vid you’re awesome!
We vloged this hike on our channel! Such an informative video! ❤️
Thank you so much for the video ma'am
How far after the white wall is the second photo location, before you hike to where the sign actually is? I'm going in a few weeks and would love that "money shot"!
Mulholand Dr.
Durand Dr. (Down)
Ledgewood Dr. (Up)
Rockliff Dr.
Deronda Dr.
Deronda & Mulholand go through gate
excellent vid! dang! thank you!!
Thank you for posting this
if you were to take an Uber, would you just be able to have them drive you to Mt. Lee Summit or close to it?
tera z yes uber goes here all the time. Drops you right off at the gate
Hi kenny, which drop off point should i choose? if i taking uBer
Will definitely take Uber all the way up there. Thanks for the heads up
Do you need a permit or anything at all to hike toward the sign? Or even parking permits?
Lake Hollywood Park, the exact address is 3160 Canyon Lake Dr. Los Angeles, CA
Ty soo much.
.is this still current or are there any new routes now in 2021?
Thaks a lot!!! It was very helpful.
Thanks so much legends!! Appreciate this heaps! Xoxo
Hi, I have a doubt. Can you keep walking straight in Mullholland? Or is it necessary to turn right in Durand? thanks
Great video!
Wow thank you!
i have a question! once you get to the money shot in the front of the sign do you stay to the right to get to the back of it
@2:15 can you walk to this spot from Lake Hollywood Park?
Thank you so muchhhhhhhh
What happens if you just stay on Mulholland drive? According to Apple apps and google, that road takes you straight up to the hike starting point without going down any side streets
U r awesome. Thanks!
Cool video
