I'm so proud of Moonbyul for what she has accomplished with this album musically. The sheer amount of growth she has shown over the years, makes me so proud to be her fan.
I'll be your tear buddy any time. I checked my scrobbles and I'm somehow on my 30th play of this album. It's so good. Gold has already gotten me through some downswings.
One of Moonbyul’s main idols growing up was Taeyeon, a member of the legendary group Girls Generation. She was very much a fangirl of Taeyeon and used her as an inspiration to becoming an idol, so when she finally got to meet her on the show Amazing Saturday (where Hanhae is also part of the cast) she was so shy and admitted that Taeyeon was even her phone’s background pic, and that she followed her footsteps by training at the same academy for trainees as her, and that being able to sit next to her right then made it more real to her that she HAS realised her dreams. Taeyeon then told Moonbyul that she has worked hard, and that she’s a fan of hers too, even watching Moonbyul’s radio show back then called Studio Moon Night. That made her cry hard, and that’s what Hanhae was referencing here (Taeyeon is affectionately called Taengoo by fans and close friends). Added note: Hanhae was Byul’s main rap teacher before debuting. As I’m sure you know, Moonbyul wanted to be a singer as an idol and didn’t know a single thing about rapping, and so Hanhae was instrumental to her gaining that incredible flow and they’re close with each other.
AND the annoucement is live!!! I swear I'm waiting for the remaining legs of 10 tours right now. The list just keeps grow but the dates don't keep coming for some reason 🤣. I hope she comes to the US!
@@DiaryOfAKPOPIntrovert i hope she tours to more countries too, she’s supposed to have her first world tour during Eclipse era but then covid happenned so everything was postponed. But now is a good time too since she just released a beautiful album loved by many of her fans and even non-fans. Manifesting together for more dates and venues soon.
Wow. ang! Respect to him. I love that her mentor is on her first solo album. Shows her reverence and their bond. Plus now knowing that with the meaning on the song makes the supportive, friend of it all real.

The range on this really highlights Moonbyul's versatility as an artist. Re NOLTO lyrics referencing Byul crying infront of Taengoo, it was referring to Byul's appearance on the show Amazing Saturday with Hanhae where she cried when she met Taeyeon because she is a huge Taeyeon fan.
Still reveling in how full and well rounded this album feels and is. It's so easy to play it without stopping. Thank you for the Taengoo connection. Knowing all these stories and her connection to Hanhae, the song feels even more like your bestie hugging you 💜

My favorites from the album are WWUD, Touchin and Movin, Like a Fool and Gold. The number 1 of these would have to be Like a Fool. I love the way she writes her lyrics. Moon now has 120 songs to her credit.

Phantom was co-managed by WA entertainment which later became RBW and Brand New Music, so they were labelmates and seniors to Mamamoo. It was Kiggen, Sanchez and Hanhae. Kiggen is working with Young Posse at DSP, now a part of RBW. Moonbyul has said Solar and Hwasa taught her rap, and they did help her with specifics, but Hanhae was her main teacher. There is a video of a Phantom performance at a music show with Moonbyul, Wheein and Hwasa as Backup dancers from pre-debut days.

Nolto is actually from Nollaeun (nol) toyoil (to) which means amazing Saturday (a saturday where you have a day off classes or work) . She said the song is like an escape from reality on a saturday.
