Jemima Marcos I personally think Korean beauty standard is narrow rather than high. It’s like they have specific shapes of nose, eyes, lips which they consider beautiful. It’s like the nose has to be small, the eyelids have to be doubled, chin has to be pointed, skin has to be white. Only if they have this kind of face they’ll be considered beautiful. While I see a lot of miss universe that don’t fit their standard but still look very stunning.

i dont think its only Korea , ITS BECAUSE OF OUR SOCIETY OF THESE DAY , if you doesnt look good , youre a waste ... and thats what the whole world prefer now
Cyber bullying and hate comments.... Yes South Korea is famous for that. So many idols gave up their life and then there are ordinary people getting hate too. I'm crying
Seoul is more or less like most major cities in the world, but with its own linguistic and geographical characteristics, but still very similar to other major metropolises in the world. For me it was more interesting to visit the countryside in Korea, then the Korean culture came a little more in the spotlight. A two week vacation is definitely worth spending in Korean countryside and a couple of days or three in Seoul.
i moved in korea and live here now. 1. finding work is hard. 2. working life is hard. (not the job but the work environment makes it hard. 3. hard to find friends. they consider age, gender, status in life, appearance, and personality. 4. you will rarely see someone help others. 5. they will not talk to you unless they need you. 6. some koreans are rude. 7. you have .0000000000000000001% of chance to meet kdrama oppa or idols if you dont go to their concert. 8. salary is good enough to pay your bills. i mean living expenses is not a joke 😅 9. fashion depends on weather meaning you need to buy so much clothes. another expenses 😣 10. seoul is always crowded 😂 i get tired just by seeing a lot of head in the road. 11. skin care is best.. but expensive 😣 but who cares i will definitely go and shop.
but there's so many other things that is good here. like delivery service is more fast than you expected, or if you lose something like phone or wallet you have 80% of chance to get it back, getting government documents is hassle free, you can do most of things online, they are generous in terms of food. freebies and coupons...
I don't know about other countries but in the U.S. the average American is overweight. Nobody seems to care very much about how they eat or how much. California is probably the exception where the women starve themselves to compete with 15 year old girls. However they don't have the genetics to pull it off. The guys that are in shape think they are gods gift to humanity. Nobody has manners here anymore. I am 48 now, eat less then the average and watch what I eat. I have seen the decline of basic manners and the conservative middle class. Most people that want to move to Korea are probably attracted to the conservative part. If you compared big cities the Seoul has a lot going for it. Korea is cleaner then almost any American city. I was amazed that even in the back alleys everyone made sure to keep it clean. Smog is a problem in some cities.
Personally, I plan on moving to Korea because of the beauty of the culture itself and the history of the country, and because of the richness of the food. I'm a person who finds pleasure in the smallest of details and in simple things, and they have so many beautiful things to appreciate in South Korea, like their infrastructure and the beauty of cherry blossoms during springtime and their amazing sunsets, besides the places where they shoot dramas and other things. So I think every country has its ups and downs and if we were to think this way every time we are to make a decision, we'll end up not making any progress and being stuck in our fears and hesitations. I say you never know what a person or a country or an adventure is like until you experience it for yourself, so do just that!
@@taeash1612 have left delhi now and living in place with better air but it's hard to accept it in because now I'm habitual of that polluted air of Delhi lmao 😂😂😂😂
thank god , I actually found this now I will show this to my kdrama addict sis who is always waiting to go to korea that she literally started saving money
The reason why i want to go to South Korea is not because of oppa. Its because of their tradition and culture, street food and I really want to see Cherry blossoms and experience autumn. That's it.😊
As a foreigner, my personal experience with a korean guy was exactly what she described it as. He became friends with me to learn english, to practice speaking. Then he convinced me he had true feelings for me but cant be with me because of culture and religion. He still pretended to care for me but never wanted a relationship. Turns out he had a girlfriend all along. Fooled me for one year. And blamed me for not getting the “signal” :)
@Sweet Munching Sound of course no one could go to a country just to fall in love If someone does that it's definitely not real Just like the movie baaghi 3 if u have watched where the brother destroyed a whole country to save his brother It can never happen in real Although we r still fascinated by them including k-dramas but putting them in real life is not possible
really she is telling about polution and dust in south korea and here in india everywhere and everytime is full of dust and too much crowd also where I live...
I remember my friend that recently married a korean guy, she told me not to expect too much about Korea and it's people, bcos what you see in kdramas are actually not gonna happen to you. She once told me that I should not marry a korean guy if I'm such a clingy, baby, moody, romantic person, bcos some koreans are not that romantic. When she first went to korea, she said to herself that finally she can feel what kdramas are feel like, but when she stayed for almost 3 months, she realized that it's very different from the dramas that she watched. But again it depends with you and the path you choose.
That's exactly like non-americans or non-europeans fantasizing about that part of the globe and realizing it's not like in the movies. People live and learn. And quite frankly reality is easier than fantasy. Being and looking perfect seems exhausting.
More cities in korea. That's why it's polluted. Same here in the philippines but manila is the most crowded and polluted. We have still fresh air in provinces 😊
It's true that a drama and real life both are different, dramas are entertainment , so I think in basis of kdrama u shouldn't marry a Korean guy, and please for that don't blame kdrama , both are different world
I guess every country has it's pros and cons. I'm from UK - London is a very crowded city and we're working on the carbon emissions incorporating more traffic restrictions, encouraging cycling etc. I would still love to experience SK at some point, it does look very beautiful and I'm sure there are many lovely people there too. We have our fair share of not so nice people here like anywhere in the world. You should hear about the abuse that women cyclists get from men. No where is perfect. I have subscribed to your channel. Thank you 😊🇬🇧
I believe strongly that each culture has its strengths, but also its shortcomings. Therefore, it's great to learn from other cultures' strengths and lacks, and then go and improve oneself and one's own environment. As much as I absolutely LOVE South Korean cinematic and musical arts, as well as many of the traditional attitudes stemming from the Eastern religious history, but I am very much against migrating to wherever you find "attractive". The latter has a taste of escapism. - Therefore, as long as your life isn't in danger, stay where you are 🤪😄
You're so cute when u speak English with you're Korean accent, and you're pretty❤️ don't let other people let you down! Be you, and keep showing us more about Korea❤️

@@diamondthrust2019 Just hold tight to the ones you love and care about, you will get through it. And try to watch something that makes you laugh, that should help a bit.
Sometimes we need videos like these for reality check. Unlike K dramas, these kind of videos make you understand that you are actually in a very comfortable environment, where you won't be judged too much for your looks( given the fact that South Korea is very beauty conscious country) I can not imagine the amount of stress and anxiety people go through there. This is lowkey one such moments where I'm happy to have hailed from a place where people give zero fucks a about looks. (At least not to this extent)
Agreed,my Friend worked there in Samsung, what he experienced was totally different... In short he said,go for sight seeing ..not for anything else... You'll die out of stress 😂

Dont say that people look like you! So many will rush to get a visa :)

"Do not move to Korea, they are not all super attractive. They all look like me" (attractive wise)

As a foreigner, my personal experience with a korean guy was exactly what she described it as. He became friends with me to learn english, to practice speaking. really she is telling about polution and dust in south korea
and here in india everywhere and everytime is full of dust and too much crowd also where I live...
