Listening to you talk about the way you like to live, sounds so much like me. Don't talk politics to me and don't come to see me just to see what I am doing under the false pretense you are my caring neighbor. Thank you for your show and I do love your books!
You probably receive a lot of satisfaction from growing your own food, plus I feel that it's much more nutritious!!! Plus it's YOUR body and how you want to use it!!! Keep it up!!! Blessings!!!
I planted dry pinto beans and the ground hogs ate them yesterday. but like you said Kevin. they were growing really well. and like you said that sense of accomplishment. I would go out every day and water them.i felt so proud, I mentioned it to my neighbor and she said, you planting those for the ground hogs to eat them. I truly understand what you mean by miserable people. she lives alone, no one comes to visit her. so she wanted to discourage me from doing what I love doing. you are a true inspiration Kevin thank you again for pointing out the misery of others people, oh I got your six, be safe.
I have been fascinated by Bob Ross since I was a kid. I ordered a kit but never got around to doing it. One day in one of your videos it made me ask myself why I didn't try. So I did my first painting and do others now. I add an x of branches in the background because it makes me happy.
Good for you Kevin. I love watching your videos and so dose my Husband Mark. We love watching you and Dearly garden. Going for bike rides. Going for walks. Watching Danial and all the things he likes to do. I get told all the time why do you color? There is no money for doing it. I say It is what I like to do for pleasure. Makes me feel good about my art work and my self. And when I get done with it I have something to show how well I do color. We both finished your 3rd book on Bigfoot Sasquatch Files. Keep them coming Kevin. Love Mark and Terri Simmers.
Coloring is very relaxing. If you concentrate, you forget problems and worries for a while reducing stress, and you have a lovely end product to enjoy!
Oh my goodness, thank you for your words and advice near the end of this video. I had to go back and play that part for my mom because she gets those kind of passive-aggressive comments about something she enjoys doing (quilting and sewing). I don't care because it makes her happy but you have given me the perfect return when I hear those comments or people say them to me about her. Thank you, again... because there is wisdom in your words, Kevin. wow.
Your Mom is making treasures! My Mom quilted. I have one she made, all by hand, every stitch. It took her 7 years. She only worked on it during the winter because most of it sat on her lap and it was queen sized! My sister had one that she made out of cross stitchefbpanels, then joined and quilted. She also made my Dad and brothers shirts, my sister, me and herself clothes, taught us how to see, knitted, crocheted, and tatted, as well as cooked, cleaned and canned! Enjoy your Mom and the memories and treasures she is creating. What a talent!band gift!!
Nailed it! Some people really are just miserable and project their own insecurities onto others. You seem like a genuine individual, served your country and you have a beautiful family and home. Be very proud of yourself and let others misery and or jealousy drift by in the wind. Oh, and BTW I think something small and dark was following you
Hi Kevin, i always say how much i love and adore your Beautiful Homestead, i remember you first planting all those trees and shrubs, they are so lovely, they have grown so well, just amazing work kevin, isint it wonderful to to stand back and see all your hard work you have done and now enjoy the beautiful scenery. There should be more people like you kevin, taking care and loving the enviroment. 🙏🏻☺️😍
You are so right ,to plant and watch the fruits of your labor, grow ,then to harvest, and share it. To be able to eat it taste so much better..Is so rewarding.
I totally agree with you, I do the things I love, working in my yard, gardening, I'm a painter, I love to read. I've had the nay sayers, I just smile and nod and go on my way. Lol
Hi Kevin, I am 74 yrs old and living close to Sydney in the Central Coast in Australia. I am watching your videos because I like your humor, I like your presentation. This video made my day, every world you said is true. So educational for life, I am afraid that your message is going to the young people, they need it. I love gardening, weeding is my favorite, to have your own vegies are the best. I lived in Queensland on a rural property like you, I loved it, I miss it, but when you getting older you need to move to closer to hospitals, public transport etc. I would move back if I can afford a helicopter. The tranquility of your land is a million dollar, never let anybody disturb it. All the best for you and your lovely Family.
You are awesome Kevin, this is one of the greatest vlogs ever, you are so right about people. misery loves company i have neighbors just as you described, thank you for this great vlog, you are the best.
I’d like to think I’m a fairly intelligent person and I really like your videos. I watch/listen twice. The first time I listen to you and concentrate on your voice. The second time I get your six!!
Yet another great video. I remember when I was active growing my garden and eating what I grew. Canning what I grew for winter months. I know exactly the kind of people of whom you speak of. I long for those days now and it seems like forever now I've wasted alot of time doing nothing. But life changes and unfortunately health changes but that doesn't mean you quit. I've had to change from doing what I used to love doing. And it's takin time and effort trying to fill the gap that what I could do before into something I can do now. I finally found out that painting, crafts and listening to certain people on TH-cam is what I love doing. I fought with myself saying to myself on now your lazy but I've realized as my situation has changed with my health I may not be able to do what I used to do but now I'm just converting my energy to doing something else that turns out I love doing. Thanks Kevin for all that you say and do. Someone is listening to you..me!
Hello from Ireland kevin so true everything you said jealousy just eats some people alive, well done to Dearly and yourself for all your satisfying hard work that people under bridges are jealous of, stay safe
Hi Kevin! If it's any help, try going to your local barber shops or salons and ask them for the cut hair that they sweep up to throw out. Lots of animals don't like the smell of human hair. An old client of mine used to ask me for a couple bags of cut hair from my shop, he used it to sprinkle in his flower beds and gardens to keep them away. It may be worth a try. Good luck!
Your property is beautiful!! I understand why you work hard to keep it up. It's so rewarding to see it clean and neat and having your vision come alive! God's blessings to you, Dearly, and Daniel! Enjoy your hard work! Lovebyour videos, buying your books next check!! Keep on being you!
It looked like you saw something go by in front of you at 10:25, but something also went by at 10:23 which I don't think you saw!! And what the heck was that white line that came from the right at about 13:00, then it sort of hung around your head at 13:20 for a while. Eventually it went back to the right. Strange!! And yes, I heard those screams at 26:20!! 👻 Yes, the miserable, negative, criticizing, toxic people never cease to amaze me!! They really need to get a life!!!
Your Videos are very interesting enjoyable and everyone has the right to what they enjoy and like in their lifetime I'am so glad you do them and your own thing, working outside is a joy to many I my self being one who loves it with much care thanks.
OK. This one was a lot of fun. Homestead is Beautiful. OK. I heard lots and saw a few things. I finished Volume 3. (Lawnmower) awesome. All 3 were amazing. Can't wait Volume 4 comes out. Just waiting on my 3 books coming. Trying to get all your books that are available in print. 😱 Thanks again Kevin my friend. CRAZY LAKE NATION!!! 🎯
Wow, I really love this Chanel. Kevin, you've seriously got to be a geneous and your wife is super adorable. I'm totally binge watching...can't stop. Words of wisdom are much appreciated also...I so need to see more Sasquatch strolling through the woods for some snickers.😁
That's what they are curiously on you coz they can't do it by their self , don't mind them it's your life and I proud of you and your wife with you son of that beautiful place you have ,some others as you said are lazy or others they don't accept that your have a stable life ,in a way God blessed you keep it up ,and say hello to dearly and Daniel ,let this read to dearly ,lagi kayong mag ingat at lagi akong nanuod Ng video nio at nakakasaya Ng pakiramdam na meron katulad nio na maayus na buhay masaya at payapa Magandang araw SA inyo mag anak

Hey Kevin. All through my life my Mum has always said that the two things she doesn't discuss are politics and religion, although I've tried pointing out that a lot of the time they both become intertwined in things, like it or not! I think it's because she doesn't know much about either (o; But referring to hobbies and such, that's how I came to find you and yours on TH-cam. I've always been into the creative arts and crafts, and I watch a lot of crafting TH-cam videos, and somehow one of your videos caught my eye. You see, I don't just sit and watch, I DO STUFF while I'm watching (unless something catches my eye). I must admit though, that when you're speaking directly to your camera I feel like I'm being spoken to, and I watch. Now I can't remember exactly how long I've been watching, but it must be at least a year. I bought one of your 'That's OK....' shirts in November, and I'd been watching for quite a while before that. But honestly, on Life with Dearly the other day, when she was trying on that new dress, she had me laughing so hard I thought I was gonna pee! But your right Kevin - we should spend time doing the things we enjoy. If others find that problematic, well that's their tough titties, not mine. Ha!!
I rarely comment on videos pro or con. I have watched you for a long time, purely for the entertainment value. Have never seen anything except the "obvious". I have heard knocks. Maybe, too, it's the result of all the labour-saving devices we have these days which allows people question the value or 'need' for hard work (beyond jealousy and ineptitude!)? I'm sure companies invest a lot of time thinking up ways and means to save us time - and energy - then make us feel dumb if we aren't availing ourselves of their latest labour-saving tech. I get a sense that some people feel it's beneath them to 'do' hard work - maybe they'd pay someone to do it if they thought it necessary, but heaven forbid they'd make themselves ache doing something, other than going to the gym! Thereby allowing them to boast about how many reps they did or how many LBs they lifted, or stairs they climbed - which is fine if that (as you say) gives 'em joy - but if the only reason they're doing it is to lord it over others to make themselves feel superior, then it's all a bit sad. Personally on account of accidents & other physical anomalies I find it very painful to do many simple things, but I know if I don't try, if I don't make the effort, if I don't get out and DO then it ain't going to get done. + I'll be able to do even less tomorrow & I'll end up completely useless! If I can pull those weeds, replant those shrubs, prune things which are becoming wayward, I'll be rewarded with a lovely outside space and the plants will thrive. I think a garden is a great metaphor for Life - you kinda reap what you sow - and people should be given credit for having a go, instead of being given tacit approval for going to a store and buying an easy option - any one can do that - but not anyone can have a beautiful garden, or paint a picture which pleases them, or take photos which move others, or otherwise create something they loved doing - I'm sure if you put joy and love into what you do, then you will spread that positivity to all who see it... Hello Kevin. I've got your six buddy. I love all of your trees that you have planted. You've done a fantastic job!! Have you thought about putting down mulch around the trees to cut down the weed infestation?
The knocks at the end...
Hi Kevin, great advice. I'm going to use that. Or you have the I'm perfect and can do it better, turns out they don't legends in their own mind. What went in front of the camera at 26:13? I enjoy your vids and watch to the end of every one of them. You always have something interesting to discuss. I love the search for he/she/It/They. Always see or hear something. So year, I am with the potential Bigfoot/Sasquatch, preach it. It's the truth.
