PATRICK HENRY’S REJECTION OF THE CONSTITUTION- “I declare that if twelve states and a half had adopted it, I would, with manly firmness, and in spite of an erring world, reject it. You are not to inquire how your trade may be increased, nor how you are to become a great and powerful people, but how your liberties can be secured; for liberty ought to be the direct end of your government.”

Not gunna lie: not a huge amount of interest or support regarding Republicans by me, so I was not sure if this episode was worth my time. Turned out it was. Great episode. Great breakdown of the article. Learned some interesting things along the way. Thanks guys

ON ADOPTION OF THE CONSTITUTION- “Your consent is requested, because it is essential to the introduction of it, after having received confirmation, your complaints may increase the whistling of the wind, and they will be equally regarded.” - John DeWitt III November 5, 1787

You're wrong about inflation hurting future generations...they haven't accumulated any currency yet! 😅

Gentlemen, I am curious why you don't tell people that there is no voting our way out of this? Or do you believe we can?

If you're interested in preventing a bloody conflict in the event of secession, it's important that the secession occur with the apparent consent of the governed. In other words, if your state is going to secede, there better be a popular vote behind it or you're handing the Feds all the pretext they need to go in there guns blazing with popular approval. If a state secedes as a result of a ballot initiative that passes by a landslide, it lends important legitimacy to that movement and makes it much harder for the Feds to persecute the secessionists.

@troll_kin9456 You have a lot more faith in the Feds than I do. I don't think any pretense would restrain them. That's why educating people about the principles of liberty is so critical. I am in Texas and have been to a few Texit meetings. Most of the folks are fired up about Biden, but I suspect if Trump gets back in the fervor for secession will wane. Many appear to love Trump tyranny. That Cluster B Personality is so mesmerizing to those who don't understand what they are seeing.

@@mercyotiswarren7994 You and I would not be alive and posting our anti-state opinions on a public platform that shares information directly with the Feds if they weren't constrained politically.
I think peaceful secession is possible - not because I have faith in the Feds - quite the opposite. It's precisely because I don't buy into the poisonous black-pilled mindset that the Feds are all-knowing and all-powerful. Those who do are the ones who have faith in the feds, because they treat them like gods - terrible gods - but gods nonetheless. They aren't. They can be successfully resisted and there are limits to what they can get away with.
