Odd that AeroMexico’s reversers opened and then shut immediately. Especially during wet conditions you’d think they would have went full reversers. Awesome as always ET!!!
Realized I haven’t wrote a comment for awhile or been keeping up with the vids, spent a good hour watching some pure plane spotting, loved it just as I remembered.
As usual Eye Trapper, you have captured beautiful big birds landing at YVR, with exquisite detail, thanks so much! I consider you, one of the best in the business.
What a sloppy day to be filming in! Kudos to you Trapper for hanging in there and giving us some great shots. I learned something day. I never have seen inspection teams out in their equipment checking the aircraft for contamination. It's not that I didn't know there wouldn't be some kind of inspection going on for safety. I just didn't know how and with what equipment they would use. The New Zealand plane had a beautiful paint scheme while as the Mexico plane had me worried when it came rushing in.
No shortage of buttery landings there, despite the foul weather. Nice mix of aircraft, including several oldies, but goodies. Love that new livery on Lufthansa's 747. Here's a shout out to all the ground/ramp staff, out there doing their thing, in all conditions. Thumbs up from YLW!

It's been quite awhile since I've been on youtube, was helping my brother for the past couple years but he passed away a couple months ago and I just haven't felt like doing any youtube stuff. I did happen to see this one and I'm not surprised, your video's are still top notch buddy, nice and clear and CLOSE UP. I knew Sunwing sold out but I thought WestJet bought them. I talked to my pilot friend who is a Sunwing Pilot a few months and at the time he wasn't sure what was going to happen. I like the new paint on the 737 Max at 5:00, nice and smooth camera work my friend. I hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving man. You take care up north, keep all the cold weather and snow up there and be safe.

Fantastic video as always, eye trapper! I have a question: am I mistaken when I’m noticing that Canadian airlines, compared to many others airlines, don’t really use reversers? I always see them at idle, whichever the aircraft or the runway conditions. Do you know why this may be?

I don't want to be patriotic but ladies and gentlemen boyz'n girls todays star of the show is Lufthansa's D-ABVM. Viktor Mike in the new livery. Sadly LH will retire the 3 remaining 747's by June 23 but not the - 8i. God bless. How boring does the 787-9 look compared with the Jumbo.
Something I didn't want to hear about the 747-400. I was hoping it would have another 1-2 years on the YVR-FRA summer schedule before it is replaced with a 787 or a350? Do you work for Lufthansa?
@@roberthowell7095 No. I work for a maintaince company for the planes from Lufthansa Group. Brussels Airlines, LH, Swiss, Austrian, Eurowings. A 320/330 only. LH will replace the 747-400 on the Vancouver route with an A 350-900 and later with a 777-9.

Thank you! I'm assuming it's because they are comfortable with YVR's runways and know the stopping distance. Only my guess.
I wonder why @7:16 the Aero Mexico pilot abandoned the reverse thrusters after just opening them up?
