  • In November 2001, the Higashiyama Higashigashi district in Kanazawa City was selected as the first preservation district for groups of traditional buildings in Ishikawa Prefecture, and on December 28, 2012, the "Kanazawa City Teramachidai" was selected, making it the number of Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings in the prefecture to "8 districts", surpassing the 7 districts in Kyoto Prefecture to become the largest (Japan number in Japan).

In the "Higashiyama Higashigashi" district of Kanazawa City, there is one of the three tea houses in Kanazawa, "Higashi Chaya Street".
