This is a very important material, very informative totally what I need, Thank you for posting everything the details are really important, the last moments, her shape, everything!
Np at all! I was looking for the same thing and didn't find it so this is what started my channel just took so long to edit this to get it out. We all start somewhere!!!
This was a great video! No need to be embarrassed, I was watching it and learning things as I went, and experiencing this part of ownership/breeding right along with you! I dont think you made any comedic errors or anything, and you, your hubby, and the other girl were all calm cool and collected, and you guys seemed like you had a good handle on things for first timers! I think this will be a helpful video to anyone who is planning to breed or home deliver their pups, and gives a good insight into what to expect! Thanks for sharing! Hope you and the fam are doing well!
Once people gain experience they tend to become more judgmental on the newbies. I’m very happy at the early comments that many are finding this helpful or loving the content. After knowing what I know now it is a tad embarrassing for me but I agree it is worth sharing! You can really see the bond Phoenix and I have here too. Miss that bean!!!!
@@Dogdayshomestead I think you ought to be proud of yourselves, having not had any sort of crisis you couldnt handle, and everyone came out of it happy and healthy! Can't wait to see part two!
I thought this was awesome. I’m getting ready for my first litter …probably going to be just as nervous…. Your video was very informative and I love ur supporting cast absolutely made the process easier
I wonder though which is better, being next to her supporting her and giving her love, or leaving her on her own and letting nature do its thing.. I'm wondering if my presence would make her uncomfortable or extra anxious
Really depends on the dog, I tried to leave mine be but she would not rest and kept getting up to follow me. So I was definitely very involved which bothered lots of viewers! It takes forever so I would recommend not being as involved unless your female really needs you. First time delivering I don't blame them for wanting someone by their side 😌
I just wished you weren’t as hands on, dogs have a natural sense of what to do during pup-birth. She would’ve had a smoother birthing process if you weren’t in the box with her.
If you would have left the puppies nurse, it would have helped her oxytosin to kick in to help her birth the other ones. The collars could have been put on way later. The important thing is to let her clean her pups and let them nurse.
The CCAA is finally starting a mentorship program. That would be your best bet in my opinion. You can also get some feedback on Facebook in the corso groups.
when my boxer gave birth she wouldn’t allow anyone but me near her babies. I had to assist with one but I let her deliver the other nine without any interference. We had to trick her to get them out to take the to the vet and she was too upset. But after the first week she was literally hiding from the pups because she was tired of nursing them
The does it her self the only time you need to help is if she struggles pushing them out you don't suppose to put the puppies separate from the mom at anytime remember she can always later hide her puppies because you are touching them
i'm looking to breed my khan aye corso (proper pronunciation) dam "Rubicon" rubi to her piasani. Not for profit . But to share these magnifcent cainines with others
Unfortunately we aren’t breeding at this time or in the near future. This litter is now 2.5 years old, just old footage. But if you need help finding a breeder feel free to contact me by email or on Instagram or FB along with what you are specifically looking for in a Corso.
@@Dogdayshomestead thank you so much I will be sending a email today I really appreciate it … it’s been a extremely difficult time .. from breeders trying to scam and a puppy getting stolen . I’m just praying I can fine what I’m looking for
I think y'all should just let the dog to give birth without no human interference. This for me is so nonsensical...let the dog give birth in peace. Let nature take its course without no human interference
Due to your arrogance, you didn't realize that when you took the first puppy away from the mother, she stopped giving birth, continuing to look towards the puppy you took away, in some cases it may even happen that the birth stops completely. due to the selfishness of the owners who think that the puppies are theirs.
When I got up she would follow me out and we didn't want the mess outside the whelping pen. Some dogs need the space for sure but ours wanted me to be right by her side 🤷♀️
Yeahhh okay, who wants to be in the whelping pen getting blood and discharge all over them. Also not a comfortable place to be. One of us had to be in there or she would get out. I do what’s best for my dogs, sorry if you have never had that type of bond before.
She would've gave birth naturally without no problem like other dogs. Humans like interfering without no apparent reason and make nonsensical excuses to cover their nonsensical act.
@@thabomonama7240 she did give birth naturally. She just wanted to be close to us so we sat with her . Much rather have her whelping in the sanitized pen than all over the house. But my bad, you are all knowing and are an expert on all dogs everywhere. I can't possibly have an experience outside of what you have had in life and must be a liar. Be blessed 🙏
Why are u sitting in with the dog while shes trying to give birth, your legs totally in the way of her birth canal, taking the babiez away from mum when you should be helping attach puppy to mums teat, to much interfering from owner, poor mums not even geting to bound with puppy, mums not geting chance to push baby out, actually getin on my nerves with how shes not leting mum do stf 4 herself,
Well this worked for us, my dog was a great mom and she was most calm this way. I would much rather not sit in her mess for the entire labor but I did what I thought was best for my dog. Hate all you want, thanks for the views

I will try to get the next parts up for you then! All the best with your upcoming litter!
Same here…just playing the waiting game.
Was This her 1st litter or has she whelped before ?
1st and last litter. Unfortunately she turned out to be an epilepsy carrier.

Did you make the whelping box yourselves ? Or purchase. I'm trying to find a large one for my cane corsos
I bought it from Durawhelp. I have a whole video on it and putting it together

Yeah to much interference from owner
You by far create the most informative and helpful info on this platform. Do you have an Instagram?
any mentors on breeding I have 2 female 11 months old looking for some guidance/ help with experience breeder plz hit me back

my corsa is giving birth right now it's been a hour since the first

This is a video of what NOT to do during whelping.
This is a learning channel so please share the why and what you should do instead and what experience you have Whelping.

this was really hard to watch with the owner interfering with the puppies birth
Why Can't you let her get up and walk around move out the way just a little bit, just saying 🤔

Dogs have puppies everyday without human intervention
My sister just got one she have a boy

Marvel names I see🤔 I did this with my old bully kennel, now it's Game of thrones😁
I thought it would help my husband be okay with more dogs since we need to cover more names, but no luck lol

I cannot believe you aren’t wearing gloves… then you touch your phone.
Yeah gloves are def a safer bet, my phone is cleaned regularly though with bleach / alcohol/ UV light. However it needed an extra cleaning after!

The only thing disgusting is the pig sitting on top of the dog. How many times do you need say good mama
