    2024 Jeep Gladiator
The 2024 Jeep Gladiator is an excellent midsize truck for those who need to haul a lot of gear and navigate tough off-road trails. It excels in various terrains, especially in its Rubicon model, which is unmatched for slow-speed rocky trails. The Mojave model is perfect for high-speed off-roading, while the base Sport model is a capable off-roader straight from the factory. The Gladiator benefits from a vast range of aftermarket parts, sharing many components with the Jeep Wrangler. It offers unique convertible options with either a soft-top or hardtop, and boasts a payload capacity of 1,725 pounds and a towing capacity of 7,700 pounds.
The 2024 model features a new Wrangler-like grille, a refreshed interior with optional power-adjustable seats, a new instrument panel, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen. New trail-focused Mojave X and Rubicon X models come with added luxury and off-road equipment. However, the Gladiator remains fundamentally the same since its 2020 debut. It is powered by a 285-horsepower V6 engine, paired with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. While its off-road capabilities are impressive, its solid front axle results in a rougher ride and less precise steering compared to competitors. Despite this, the Gladiator's rugged style and charisma are undeniable.
With new models like the Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, Ford Ranger, and Toyota Tacoma entering the market, the Gladiator, although capable and updated, remains less refined than its newly redesigned rivals.
    2024 Toyota Tacoma
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma introduces a new generation, the first since 2016, expanding its model variety with the addition of the TRD PreRunner and Trailhunter trims. Known for its strong sales, the Tacoma outpaced its segment rivals in 2022. The 2024 model brings a significant upgrade with the I-Force Max hybrid powertrain, offering more power, torque, and likely better fuel economy than the average midsize pickup. This hybrid system is standard in the TRD Pro and Trailhunter models and optional in the TRD Off-Road, TRD Sport, and Limited trims.
Improvements in the 2024 Tacoma address previous shortcomings. Enhanced driving ergonomics come from a newly raised front seat and longer steering column. A smoother ride is achieved with a multilink coil-spring rear suspension replacing the older leaf-spring setup. The braking system is updated with four-wheel disc brakes and an electronic brake booster. For manual transmission enthusiasts, the new Tacoma offers a six-speed manual with rev-matching, anti-stall launch technology, and a clutch start cancel feature. Additionally, it includes towing aids like a trailer brake controller and backup guidance, making it a well-rounded and capable option in the midsize truck segment.

I’ve been driving a Jeep wrangler since 2017, has been very reliable, but pretty slow, clunky, and uncomfortable on long trips. Seems like this new line of Jeeps has fixed many of these issues where it’s faster/smoother, and definitely more comfortable o. Long trips. I am looking to upgrade to a Gladiator one day, but also not looking to spend a fortune.

      It’s okay to say it
The biggest Toyota hater (me) is getting pleasure from everyone’s disappointment. Because I predicted that this would happen that the Tacoma would be such a disappointment
I’m so glad that it turned out that way

I will never understand how with all these tech upgrades, how come Toyota is unable to solve the mystery of installing back seat fans and give it more space! I’ll never understand the engineers at Toyota 😂

My biggest issue with the Tacoma is the lack of real world payload. I have yet to see a Tacoma with more than 1200 pounds of payload.

I love all the haters , i have actually driven a 4th gen and after getting back im my 3rd gen i wish i owned a 4th. The ride is far better in the Tacoma. Also this comparison isnt even equal , the Mojave is more comparable to the Taco Pro being it is a desert racer

Exactly. The Jeep is in a class above the Tacoma. The Jeep has higher payload, more towing, more interior room, nicer (non Lego plastic) interior, convertible top/doors and a proven and reliable naturally aspirated V6.
The Tacoma looks like a Chevy Colorado.

Chrysler jeep junk boxes are Trash. Just crap like All Chrysler trash. Friggin joke comparing junk thats s a Massive over priced ripoff in pricing to a 4TH Gen Tacoma. Especially the 326 hp 465 ft lbs of torque! i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain! I put a Grand down on TRD off road i-FORCE MAX hybrid last Sept. Build date was the 6th of this month!! Just say no to Jeep trash.

Toyota has a better all-around value and is way above the Jeep in reliability and longevity.
Even though the Jeep has more rear legroom and removable doors and such that won't help you if it's in the shop every other month.
This is only my opinion based on my own experience with both brands.
