    Great video! 2 quick questions:
    1. I saw in the OpenVPN panel that 2 connections were allowed. What if we wanted to protect several home computers?
    2. Additionally, based on the 1gig server that you chose, if we were streaming content and wanted to protect that as well, does the server have sufficient bandwidth to handle several home streaming devices as well?
    Thank you!

    that's a good start for beginners. But a man in the middle can still know what your openvpn ip is and any gvt can request the provider to get the account associated with this ip use, maybe even easier than with regular vpn providers since you own that virtual vpn server.

    I have question, are we going to be responsible for securing the OS that hosting the vpn server?

    • @goofballbiscuits3647
      @goofballbiscuits3647 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can harden Unix/Linux systems pretty easily. There are normally only a few loose ends in a decent distro anyway. Google will get you there. Content creators can't cover every OS and the holes they currently have. Whatever OS you want to use, research how to harden it.

    Just for extra security?
    Thanks a lot

    • @BrownMakarov
      @BrownMakarov 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it is possible. You probably have to figure out how to connect to a VPN using the server. I think if you were to create a .ovpn profile file for one of them, you can upload it to the other server and the use OpenVPN there to connect to the first VPN. Keep in mind the more VPN servers you use the more slower your connection gets. Also make sure to removed all traces of the file transfers for the extra security. Hope this helps, and please correct me if I have made any mistake :)

I have a pc in italy which I access using google remote desktop but I would like another option or use vpn for my info, what could you advise? Or could you make a video tutorial on how to connect 2 PCs that are in different countries or simulate something similar to what I just mentioned. in this scenario, how opening our own vpn help? who they will get into contact? is there any fingerprint left when there is no logs?

      To do so, edit /etc/default/grub file. On the line GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT add "ipv6.disable=1", so it looks something like this: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet ro splash ipv6.disable=1"
      AFTERWARDS run update-grub command for the bootloader to reconfigure. This step is essential.
