Some of the parents will be "persued" by their children VERY aggressively, and it ain't gonna be cheap nor pretty for them. But as good parents who want only the best for their kids they'll have to go along with whatever the kids choose to do TO their parents. Unless adults do more to speak out or stand up for the kids it'll just continue to happen. Lot of dudes just claim that "oh i'd do anything for the kids" meanwhile as a 6 year old i was restrained by other adults and forced into a box, also the daily forced medication consumption. People claim there all this negativity going on, all this blah blah blah but i was abused by the public school system my entire childhood.

For preadolescents transition is entirely social, and for adolescents the first line of medical care is 100% temporary puberty delaying treatment that has no long term effects. Hormone therapy isn't an option until their mid teens, by which point the chances that they will "desist" are close to zero. Reconstructive genital surgery is not an option until their late teens/early 20's at the youngest. And transition-related medical care is recognized as medically necessary, frequently life saving medical care by every major medical authority.
Withholding medical care from an adolescent who needs it is not a goddamn neutral option. Transition is absolutely necessary to keep many trans kids alive. Without transition a hell of a lot of them commit suicide. When able to transition rates of suicide attempts drop to the national average.

Kids will push and push parents, whereby saying yes shuts them up, or, as you said, makes them happy. The easy ways aren't always the best. To my original point, setting a president to kids on bad habits makes them think it's ok, one lollipop one morning turns into every morning, you know what I mean...? Not trying to argue with you or say you're wrong, just looking from different perspectives is all. 👍

Lol I just don’t see why they choose to make them unhappy, it should make the parents happy that the kid even asked, already proving that they are good parents and their kid wasn’t rude for asking first. Kids need to hear more yes when they live in a world FULL of no’s. It’s not a bad habit to like sugar or have sugar in the morning, obviously if you over eat it, but like I already stated it’s not like you are going to say yes EVERY time, but children need more yes in their life and it doesn’t have to be a negative especially if it’s coming from the children themselves, hence why I thought the two stories had little to no correlation.

Interesting. I have a question for you. My wife actually believes she should undergo surgery the remove one of her knees. Cause : she has a terrible knee problem. Multiple surgeries. A bit helpful, but pain is stronger and stronger as the time goes. She asked the surgeon to remove her knee and replace it by an artificial limb/joint, whatever is useful. Surgeon answer is : nope. Because her knee is a "living member" of her body and you don't remove something "living" from your body as far as you can use external tools and solutions to compensate the disability of the member, he says. He's a serious guy, we like him, strong reputation etc. We ask advices to ours doctor friends and doctor family, they all say the same. Basic of ethic is, "do not harm".
Here, does the logic of "Replace 'person' with 'child' and that's a straight no." still work ?
You will tell me there is so much to consider : risk/benefit ratio, age, etc. I agree. Let's put that apart.
I wanna focus your answer on how the patient beliefs have to be taken for serious and legit. And how the doctor beliefs and ethics could harm the patient ?
You can also put apart any woke debate like "is transgendering kids ok?". Bet we both agree that it is not ok.
If curious : surgeon is now ok for artificial limb. Letting her know pros/cons, risk/benefit, success rate ratios to take her decision. He is ok because everything was tried to not go for such an important surgery for 5 years, and that is now the last solution. So for 5 years, she had suffered psychological and physical pain and disability, to come to a solution she was asking from the beginning. Not even speaking about me, the one who assisted and still assist her in her disability. Some hard quotes will stay in my mind forever "Look this guy with no arms, no legs, he cross the English Channel swimming on his own, why don't you try swimming a bit? "You said it, the guy had no arm no leg, so no pain. I can't do it because I still have my knee, pain is the problem".

No orthopaedic surgeon would help him, and he ended up with a psychiatrist. For a long time. It was about the incongruity between his mental image and his physical body and the effect that had on him. He couldn’t get on with life normally.
Yes he had his amputation above the knee, eventually, and help to rehabilitate, because he had a mental condition that therapy couldn’t satisfy. But it was a weird one off and no one was happy about destroying a healthy body part. Weird enough to make a tv programme about.

What that doctor was saying about medical journals and other types of publications not accepting certain articles or research papers is absolutely true. There are a lot of studies that don't get published because the corporate overlords don't want it.
To paraphrase an acquaintance of mine, "if you can quantify it, you can cure it." If you can actually figure out the cause of something, then you can get rid of the problem. If there's no studies or no evidence, they can continuously "do research" to find some convoluted and ineffectual cure to the problem instead of just doing what's logical. If your thing is sticking out towards the bottom of your torso, congratulations, you are a boy. If they're hanging off your chest, well holy crap, you're a girl. Your feelings don't mean shit. Except your body is one way and then work towards telling your brain this is how it is. Normal people look at reality every day and just say, "this is how it is. How do I make this work?"

Very true. There's so much dogma in science generally, and if you try to publish a paper that goes against that dogma, no matter how compelling your evidence, you will struggle to get it out there, at least in a reputable journal that people will take notice of. I hit this back in my former career, when I dared to try to publish a research paper that went only slightly against what one of the big names in my field said, and not only was my paper rejected, but I had a barrage of abuse from the peer reviewer (who was clearly pals with the big name). It was a shock to me, when my data was sound and I'd published plenty of papers before, so I knew I wasn't just incompetent, but none of my previous work had stepped on anyone's ego. Things have got much worse since then, and it's not just egos that researchers have to tread carefully around, but the sources of funding, such as big pharma, who will ensure that journals suppress anything that goes against their narrative. You only have to look at the botched and biased 'science' around covid to see that, and the trans debate is if anything, even more radical.... but every trans person becomes a lifelong cash cow for pharma, so follow the money.

I have two examples of what that woman was talking about. Someone close to me personally was convinced by her school, and the fad that was raging through her friends group, convinced her that she was Trans. It took her family telling her to knock off her aggressive stance on woke ideologies (basically she was harassing everyone and verbally attacking them for perceived wrongs and injustices) before she finally realized that she not only wasn't Trans, but that she was being used as a mouth-piece to tear her family apart.
Mind you, this person was the most stereotypical example of what girls are like and about that I have ever known, and I've known her all her life.
Another example is a good friend of mine. He was badgered by his state appointed therapist, who constantly tried, insisting vehemently, to convince my friend that he was Trans. He left that therapist, thankfully. This friend of mine, in all our interactions, has never shown the slightest indication that he might be Trans or even feminine.
This same friend and his girlfriend were accosted on the street of their home town by some little woke-y insisting that both of them were Trans. My friend has long hair and his girlfriend is a tom-boy. They basically told the little soy-boy in no polite terms to mind his own business, and he threw a hissy fit while storming off.
I've got a few other examples of this insanity, but I'll get to my point. Children should not be allowed to make this kind of decision before they're of a mature enough age (18+ imo) and I damn sure am not okay with my tax money going towards someone else's non-emergency surgery or "affirming care".
