- This video tour in Münster Germany(also known as Bicycle Capital) offers a great way to enjoy a walk and Münster city's beautiful Old Town ambience at the Prinzipalmarkt on a summer day in July 2020 after the reopening of many businesses in the end of April.

Münster is an independent city (Kreisfreie Stadt) in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is in the northern part of the state and is considered to be the cultural centre of the Westphalia region. It is also capital of the local government region Münsterland. Münster was the location of the Anabaptist rebellion during the Protestant Reformation and the site of the signing of the Treaty of Westphalia ending the Thirty Years' War in 1648. Today it is known as the bicycle capital of Germany. Münster gained the status of a Großstadt (major city) with more than 100,000 inhabitants in 1915. As of 2014, there are 300,000 people living in the city, with about 61,500 students
I am starting this walk in the newly designed main station (Hauptbahnhof) then taking a slow paced walk until I reach the Prinzipalmarkt, which has a nice Old Town vibe to it. I hope you can relax and enjoy this beautiful walking tour in Münster (Western Germany).

I was in Munster in 1993 and 1995 upon the invitation of the Church District of Munster. I am a Pastor from the Philippines. I was able to visit also Telgte. I loved to watch the clock at the Cathedral at 12:00 noon. How I wish to visit once again this lovely city. But I don't have the means to visit again.

@@JapanPotato I've never been to Münster but it's kinda a mecca for a contemporary artist like me because there is a very special exhibition that happens once every 10 years called the Skulptur Projekte Münster. If you get invited to this show, it's like being invited to the Olympics. Very similar to Documenta, which happens every 5 years in Kassel. I must go!
Wow, I never heard of that before. Interesting! :) So you will be here in 2027 then? I found out that the last Skulptur Projekte Münster was in 2017. Must be difficult to get invited I guess but I saw some of your art and interviews online and I think it's amazing.

My hometown is a neighbour City of Bielefeld, the archrival City of Münster, but to be honest i think that Münster is much nicer than Bielefeld

I'm living in Münster or Muenster. Its the most livable city on the planet, google the reward the city got past years. Its multi culture, you find everything you from all around the world. Sadly, many crimes come over as well but mostly its because of the new age generation being rotten inside their heads. Today we got a brutal rapist case here just where i live, its tragic really.

@@GustavoVS11 it depends.. I found students to be open for getting to know you, but it was a little superficial Sometimes. Then there are the people living their natively, they were Sometimes pretty much Not so friendly to me as they found Out that I have moved there to study... so I think you can find new acquintances in Münster when you seek them

Ich benutze jetzt fast nur noch meine Sony FX3 und Panasonic GH6 beim gehen. Mit gimbal. Früher, wie bei diesem video, habe ich meist die Panasonic GH5 oder Sony A6500 benutzt. Natürlich auch mit gimbal. Immer alles in der Hand gehalten, die Kameras sind zu schwer für den Helm 😥 viele Grüße aus Málaga 😃

I was stationed in Munster 1972-1975. Nice place but some of the older inhabitants there then hadn't got over the war. Myself and a mate used to go past the church in the main square and down a bit of a hill, turn right at the bottom and go in La Caveta Bar to get "blathered". That is if my memory serves me well! Can't say I'm keen on all those bikes everywhere though - they're a pain in the backside in some places here in Lincolnshire.
Looks like a Dutch town, but with a lot more smokers and foreigners.

Münster and Düsseldorf are completely different. But housing and cost of living is actually a bit cheaper in Münster. but this depends on the city districts. Downtown is very expensive, but in the outskirts you get much more for the money. But the night live is more student and academic in Münster as Münster has a large university.
Münster is also a IT hotspot, as two of the largest German banks have there IT department there and also some insurances have their HQ in Münster. The Volksbanken have eg a giant datacenter a bit outside of Münster wich secured like Fort Knox and also completely mirrored in Karlsruhe. So if one fails for some reasons (plane crash, terrorist attack, etc.), the banking runs redundant on the other mirror side.

Thanks for your dislike. After all, any feedback is better than no feedback. It doesn’t matter if it’s a dislike or a like. And there are only 3 commercials at 9:20, after 22 minutes and in the beginning. Many other walking channels have more, oftentimes 4-7 commercials per video. Please dislike them as well then. Good luck finding one with no commercials. Driving to Münster back and forth costs me about 60 USD and almost 5 hours of travel time in addition to planning my routes, test runs, re-takes, editing and uploading. Which in total is about 9-11 hours. So having about 1:30 minutes dedicated to commercials in a 31 minute long video should be acceptable. Get TH-cam Premium, travel by yourself to Münster or stop crying. Have a good day. Dislike your comment.
