Jakobstadt is a great battle for people who like Hussars, you have two types of battle tactics and formations being used by different Hussar banners, and their overzealous pursuit ends up removing the Southern wings of both of the armies. Though in a wargame this abstract the specificities and chrome are somewhat lost.
Thanks! I've watched some of your videos on the Ottoman wars, I've toyed with the idea of maybe getting some miniatures for the Russo-Turkish war of 1710-11, but I think getting them ready for any content is too far in the future for now.
@@Caladine thank you for watching Caladine. I don't know too much about that conflict, but the Polish company that makes By Fire and Sword has a nice range of Ottomans in 15mm for late 17th and early 18th century
Thank you! Though to be fair, most of the Lithuanian units are painted based on Polish references, many of them were painted for Kliszow, and there are relatively few examples of the surviving Lithuanian flags for GNW. Though of those examples most do come from Jakobstadt!

I liked that a lot, good models, good terrain and well narrated. Just a little bit longer with the text slides, I struggled to read them in time. I really like your use of cotton wool as 'fog of war.' Well done feller.

Glad you liked the video! I don't have a blog or anything like that, I'm rather sporadic when it comes to making a bit of effort for things so I don't think it'd be a very interesting platform. I do have some plans for a bit more coverage on various rules for the period, but it's going to take a while because I need to finish certain models and Baccus still hasn't released their new Swedish range. Though I may end up making a video with a bit more focus on the Twilight of the Sun King mechanics rather than just an after action descriptive video.

@@Caladine yes they certainly change things but the effects vary. If you ever play the Twilight of Divine Right rules, they cover the period from the Thirty Years War to this era, then they are more important.
