- We tear apart my poor Mavic Pro to dry it out and remove all the bugs and spider webs. This guy spent a month trapped in a tree some 75 feet up before being rescued by a professional tree climber named Mark Bango, his contact info will be in the comments should you need his services in the South Eastern Pennsylvania area.
Will this Mavic Pro fly again? Watch until the end to find out.

I thought I was the only one still messing with the original Mavic Pro in Nov 2020 ! Well done.
Thanks. I still use it from time to time.
No my friend, i think the original Mavic Pro is an awesome Drone and you are very lucky you have it. I fly the Phantom 4 and the Mavic Mini if i find a great deal nowadays definitely i will buy it. Have a nice day!
Congratulations glad to see you recovered your drone and it still work you are one lucky man
Thank you!
Great job you did with the recovery my friend!!!!
Thank you!
Its great that you fix your own drones, thanks for the video. the Mavic pro is still a great drone because, the newer drones that use the DJIFLY app have expensive gimbals that are calibrated to the mainboard, (only DJI can recalibrate them) On the Mavic Pro the gimbal ESC is on the Gimbal board so I can replace the complete Camera/Gimbal for around $200 installed, or rebuild for less (no calibration required). and there are Many replaceable parts on this drone, flying parameters are changeable via custom firmware/patching . that's why these still sell for $400 to $800 in 2022 Sept,
Exactly. The DJI software for gimbal calibration on newer drones is called DJI Tools and you need to use Python with it. It’s not easy or intuitive to work with or easy to find.
@@DaltonDroneZone @Dalton Drone and Discovery Zone do you mean DJI Firmware-tools ? its on Github but doesn't work on the newer drones, (I have used that with python , ruined a few newer drones trying) what I heard from a DJI authorized servicer is that DJI calibration software for drones that use the DJIFLY app only works when its connected to the DJI cloud that verifies they are currently authorized . A china parts seller told me that they provide calibration software that's in chinese and only if you buy parts/camera/gimbals from them, good luck with it
