So very sad to hear about Diesel's declining health. Prayers for you, Brit and all the fur babies. As a responsible pet owner sometimes you have to make hard decisions. Thoughts and prayers are coming your way from all your followers and especially those who started watching your channel because of Diesel. May Diesel cross over the rainbow bridge easily and without pain.
Sooooo sorry to hear read about Diesel I read that post and it brought a water fall of tears I have watched you and Diesel since well he was a puppy. But Josh, he is going to his brother in doggy heaven and he will ALWAYS be watching over you. When I get home from trucking , I will have a beer just for him and one for you and family. RIP Diesel
I've been following you since you were living in your Sisters old trailer. We as pet owners can give them their best lives possible, and you have. You've been a great dad to him. Peace to you and Diesel.
Hi Josh, sorry to hear of Diesels poor health 😢best wishes for you & your family. Being from the UK you are so right about regulations, health & safety, etc; etc; man, if I were younger I would have left this country years ago & be driving for you guys. All the best brother 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇬🇧🙏🏻
Hi Trucker Josh great video and scenery as always the weather here in Michigan has gotten cold as well it's been in the 30s already are first frost already have a good night and safe trip tomorrow God bless
Hey there Josh, our hours of service here in New Zealand are, 14 hours for the day with a 10 hour rest, but,,, in that 14 you have to have 2 half hour breaks, so that's a 13 hour work day, loading unloading driving. You can only work 5 an half hours before a break, keep up the great videos,
Fun fact, your first drop is in DV and compared it to Edmonton, but Drayton Valley gets way more snow than Edmonton because it’s closer to the Rockies🗻🏔️
Thanks again, Trucker Josh! Another great video! Love all the extra bits of information you give us, always learning something new. Prayers for you and your family 🙏
Hey Josh sending big love to you, but you are incorrect. In europe, we can drive 4,5 hours at once before 45 minute break . And the speed not 80 km/h but 90km/h. Also driving in europe is more demanding, because we do not have all those long straitghs. You are turning into corners everywhere, plus density of population is much higher, so you need to be more careful.
@Stefan1968_Swe No dude, one think is legislative other how real world function. Police tolerate 90km/h even if you drive big truck with long heavy trailer. And large majority of truckers ride 90km/h at highways.
No dude, one think is legislative and other how real world function. Police tolerate 90km/h even when you drive big truck with long heavy trailer. And trust me large majority of truckers drive 90km/h on highway.
You where wondering how we make money when we only can travel in 80 km/h. First of all our distances are way to shorter then yours :) Second: we usually have a total weight of 60-64 ton, or 74 and up to 90t depending on the truck and road, so we are bringing more freight then you do every load. And I rather get a front wheel puncture in 80 then 110 with a 74ton truck 😄 Third: We the drivers (at least in sweden) get payed a fix sallary every month no mather how many km or deliverys you do in a month. We also get payed extra if we work at night or the evening, working on a weekend and holiday. We also get payed by the night you are spending away from home and sleeps in your truck. So we makes good money 😊
This is what the law says, at least in sweden that is part of EU. A heavy truck from 7.5 ton without an attached trailer may drive at a maximum of 90 km/h on highway and at a maximum of 80 km/h on other roads. A heavy truck with an attached trailer must never drive faster than 80 km/h, regardless of whether the road is a country road or highway
You have to be careful when you describe a country when you have never been there. I have driven through most of the countries in Europe numerous times and just came back from 2 weeks in Portugal. Their countries are much smaller than ours. I have left Düsseldorf Germany, travelled through Austria and ended up in Northern Italy while riding my Goldwing. Their highways are great and they are courteous drivers. We usually travel major highways and you will never see the truck traffic like you see in North America. Rail seems to used for moving freight unlike here we use trucks. They build their homes to last a very long time. Have been in some of their older villages where the doors in some of the older villages were only 5 ft in height. That was because they were built when we humans were not as tall as we are now. We were in Italy 2 years ago in a jewellery store that was built in 1492..Not sure about their building codes but being a contractor in Ontario we also have regulations on clearances for around toilets.
The regulations in Europe are ridiculous. They're understandable to a point of taking a break but the police doesn't understand that things happen on the road and if you're over time then you can get fined. Especially with our smart tacho 2 that is now mandatory. love this job but that's the reason why I want to stop or try trucking in Canada. Also I'm very sorry to hear about Diesel
Josh I'm always so envious of you when you drive on empty canadian highways with cruise control set for hours! We here in Germany have four or six lane Autobahnen and we have the traffic to pack all lanes! Plus we don't have speed limits in most parts (and even if there is, nobody cares 😅). Meaning driving on german Autobahnen is so much more demanding than driving on empty canadian highways. Imagine Toronto rush hour without speed limit but a lot of idiots and that all over the country. Constantly alert, constantly watching out for other cars and trucks. Let your thoughts wander a second and there is a chance you cause a serious accident. Though I guess there might be some remoter Autobahnen where it's not that bad. But the A1 and A3 that I have to drive regularly? NUTS! And I'm only a car driver. Can't even imagine how it is for truck drivers 😅
Your interest in buying/using a boat seems far greater than using your camper. So, Any thoughts on selling the camper next Spring and putting that $$ towards a boat? It would also free up room in the garage for a boat too.
Revolutionary thoughts about overpasses but you are so against roundabouts which also keep the traffic moving. You approach lights and they are on red, with nothing coming and you have to stop Approach a roundabout, if nothing coming you can continue on your way, less wear and tear on the engine and you get to your destination quicker.
Hi man, You are completely right about the laws and regulations in Europe. I left France because there were too many restrictions. I chose to come and live here in Canada and become a truck driver. I didn't want to do the job there.
Hi Bro. Over the pond we can drive for 4.5 hrs at 90 kmh 56 mph then we must take a 45mins break before we can drive for another 4.5 hrs. 9hrs total per day which can be extended to 10hrs 2x per week. we can drive 90 hrs per fortnight. If you drive for 56 hrs 1 week you can only drive for 34hrs the second week. soul destroying
90?? Since when can we drive 90 in europe with a trailer or wagon connected? 80 It's the LEGAL speed. 90 is just when you have a single truck. I don't know what country you are from that says 90 is the legal speed 🤷🏻♂️
@@wattyh1 since when is it LEGAL to drive a truck with a trailer connected at 90? Did they change it over the weekend? Because this Friday when I was working it was still 80
This is what the law says, at least in sweden that is part of EU. A heavy truck without an attached trailer may drive at a maximum of 90 km/h on motorways or motorways and at a maximum of 80 km/h on other roads. When you kick your 18 tires each time you check it, don’t your knees to ankles hurt? and if not now you think it will impact you when your older? Also when I drove 40ft School Buses, we would take our tire bats to hear the tone of the thump.
