I'd take LD over Axelsen, I'd take both Zhang/Zhao and Ahmad/Natsir over Siwei/Yaqiong. Any day of the week. I don't watch WD too often, but smashes didn't happen too often back then, so it's probably in the same league as WS. MD is a hard one. Back then MDs had better defending but less speed. I'm not sure if pairings like Lee/Yoo or Liu/Qiu would be able to cope with the sheer speed of Sukamuljo/Gideon for example. And no, don't use the Daddies argument, Ahsan is a late bloomer and Hendra is an alien.

They're not as technical as the veteran pairs but they're way faster. HS never mentions KS ever in his building of a perfect badminton player. Fastest player he ever faced was CY. One person would single handedly bottle-neck the minions IMO: JJS. (RIP) - just like how he bottlenecked the Danes. The leftovers and forever no.3 (MB/CM) finally had a chance of winning titles after JJS stepped out and minions stepped in (until the Danish players got too old to cope with the speed) - I still remember the interview drama where Boe was saying ez win by clearing to Kevin (and Danish defense was not even extraordinary on the top level) Speed means nothing when they can't break the defense. MA was good even in his younger days. Flashes of brilliance. He was just unlucky with partnerships.

The girls now are so much fitter than the past, but ZN was never a physique based player. She was pure angles and touch. TTY is amazing but gets herself into trouble too often (thus forcing her to pull off her nerves of steel - exciting but it's almost like she *needs* to corner herself rather than just dominate from the get-go) and she seems injury prone. Ratchanok has flashes of brilliance but also seems to struggle with consistency. The Great Wang Wall (Yihan, Xin, and Shixian) was very beatable and never had an air of invincibility. Prime XXF had an air of invincibility iirc but she also had tourneys where she just choked. Also add-on to the MD stuff I mentioned before regarding minions. Notice the moment someone with defense comparable to JJS (I still think JJS had better def tbh) shows up, Minions get stomped ie Yuta Watanabe - what was their head to head again? Cuz the key is make it tough for the current players and also old timers won’t be competitive playing straight up 2v2. They are old and don’t train everyday, so their feel, touch, and stamina will be out of touch.
Dato LCW is not an active professional anymore but it's still amazing to see how much of his physicality he's still kept. Everytime I watch badminton now, I keep wishing someone at the level of LD and LCW come back.

能够感觉到他们 3 人很强的理由很简单，就是他们拥有非常资深经验及对球路有非常深奥见解和想法，这点年轻球员绝对是不如他们。

1VS2、2VS3的方式是有用的，也考量到拿督的身體狀態是無法加快節奏進行打球
