Placement Year in the UK is kind of confusing so, I reached out to the universities and tried to make thinks clear. I am sure it will help.

I have applied for engineering management with placement year but it didn’t mentioned in offer letter from UNIVERSITY OF EAST LONDON. Can anybody tell me its occurred error in letter or I have to ask university to provide me offer letter with mentioning placement year?

What if I'm not able to find the placement in that second year? They give master's degree then i apply psw? because only master's student can apply for psw, Or they give post graduate diploma degree if I'm not able to find placement in that Second year? Then ultimately it's not good for me? Placement is a part of study if we are not able to find then we fail in that subject if someone fail in any subject they give post graduate diploma instead of master's degree and only master's degree student can apply for psw.

How about MSc Data Science course offered by Aberdeen, Swansea and Coventry Universities? Would you be able to provide an opinion.
All the above mentioned universities have good course content... And they are well recognized as well... So, depending on your budget and scholarship you getting you can choose one... If i had to pick one... I would have had picked aberdeen...

No mate... You dont have to pay same fee for placement year...
Placement year fee varies from 1000 to 4000 pounds... Depending on university...
It will be mentioned on the course page of the university's website... Look for placement section... So, if they provide placement year... You will be able to find how much you need to pay for the same...
Is it possible to opt for placement year after the commencement of the course?
If you are international student...
Then its not possible... As your course name has to be mentioned on the visa...

Hii, I Want To Clarify Again That If Anyone Is Enrolled For A Placement Year And If They Get A Placement Then They Give The Fees For The Placement Year Otherwise They Don't Have To Pay The Fees Of The Placement Year, Am I Right ?
This depends on university to university... So, before applying i would highly suggest emailing the university would be a better option...
the uni which i have applied doesnot have placement year for master, what should i do like can i apply for placement year? if i applied for placement will the time period extend or not? like i have 1 year master and 2yrs of psw.. after taking placement year will it extend to total 4 year
If your university doesnt have placement year... You can not apply for placement year...
But if your university is providing placement year... And also, if you get placed in your placement year... You will get to stay in the UK for 4 years... And if you dont get placed until specified date... Your PSW will be adjusted accordingly... And you will get to stay for 3 years...

Yes, you can submit IELTS after applying to the university... They will send you conditional offer stating "you condition is to provide ielts or any english proficiency score" they also mention before which date you need to submit...
If you are good with typing go for CBT... It is much easier in writing section, when you want to change something...
Is the switch from placement program to normal program valid in undergraduate degree in newcastle?
It would be better to mail the admission team and ask... they will be able to guide you more precisely.

You need to get the placement year before you apply for a visa...
So, talk to the admission team they will add placement year to your current program...

@@subhromukherjee3174 I got an admit from UCL, Queens, Exeter and 4 more unis but I also promptly applied for jobs here in India. I stayed back considering the job scenarios, don't wanna discourage but make decisions wisely, suit yourself and do more of research from what I know the unis I did mention here are utterly basic. Apply to the good ones and see what scholarships you can get or get professional help.

I personally think rank of university doesnt matter... So, as long as you like the course content of the university... You can go for that... And if you are a fresher with no industry exp... I think taking placement year might help... But it is definitely not "must" required.

But the fees for placement year is nominal, ranging from 1000 to 5000 GBP

If the university is providing placement year in jan intake... They would have mentioned it on the course page... And if they havent mentioned then most likely they dont provide... You can also mail admission team and ask them whether they provide placement year or not... They will be able to tell you more precisely...

Does freshers can able to get job??
Few days back, bbc published an article... In that they mentioned theres a drop in 40% ppl taking IT related field... So, not many ppl to take such jobs...
Keeping this in mind... I think jobs will be there... And if you build good network and profile... Getting should not be impossible for freshers...
Hi I got unconditional offer from headford shire University for September 2022 but it's With placement year MSc data science and analytics. The other of I have it from University of South Wales, also MSc data one year degree with 2.5k reduced fee.

I only have one doubt today I apply in Birmingham City University with professional placement but suppose in worst case I don't able to find any internship in that professional year did that affect in my PSW??
Even in that case you will get to stay in the UK for total of 3 years... But also it might vary depending on how your university handles it... So, it would be best if you mail the team from your university...

You will have to choose placement year while applying for the course... Once visa is issued... You can not opt for placement year...

I got an offer letter from Sheffield Hallam university for MSc in Big Data Analytics. Should I also apply for placement because I got an offer letter without a placement year.
If you are a fresher generally it is advised to take a placement year, however, it is not compulsory and some of my friends are doing just fine even without placement year...

If you want to do phd in india after masters in the uk... You need to make sure you take up 2 years master(with placement year) rather than 1 year masters... Bcoz for phd in india most of the uni. want you to have 2 years masters... Apart from that... most likely, you wont find any issues... Masters in the UK is very well reputed globally...

I am not very expert in public health sector... But, by just looking at things around... Seems like health sector will always have good scope... And uni of york is a very reputed university... This is just my opinion. I would highly suggest you to get in touch with someone on linkedin pursuing the same course at uni of york. They will be able to give you better info... All the best...

Yes, you can do fulltime job in your placement year... And yes your exp will definitely help...

If you want to cancel the placement year... And if you are not from the UK... I would suggest you to do it before applying for visa... Once you get your visa... I dont think you can cancel your placement year...

Usually universities send CAS 3 months before the course starts.

I dont think finding jobs should be a problem... But for PhDs I think it is mandatory to take 2 years masters...
If any university is providing MBA with placement year... You can opt for that... Bcoz then your degree will be of 2 years...

You will have to show them the proof that you worked somewhere... So, they can ask for anything such as an employment contract, payslip etc.

IT job in general has good scope... So, data science can also be a good option...
If i am not wrong, UEL has amazon in the campus or maybe near by... So, you can have better opportunities... And also, london is a hub... So, finding right opportunity shouldn't be a big problem...
Hii bro , bro for me in my offer letter ‘year 2023 academic year fee is 17952 pounds ‘ is mentioned in my offer letter .That means is it for only one year and i want to pay again for placement year(2nd year) (or) 2 years (placement year)
If you have taken a placement year then you will have to pay for the 2nd year too... It won't be the same amount as that of the 1st year... It will be significantly less...

It may range from £1000 to £10,000 or maybe more depending on the university.

1. You exp will be considered and you will be able to find job even in placement year as per you exp...
2. Salary and stuff will be as per your exp and yes you can get senior roles...

I dont know much about marketing course content... Like what all things should be covered as part of the course content... But if we talk about ARU in general... It is a good university... And also it is located in cambridge... Which is a big city... Also, close to london... So, finding right opportunity should not be very tough...

Teesside is the cheapest one... So if your budget is too tight... You can opt for this university...
Coventry university, Middlesex, and ARU are little bit costlier but good universities... So, you can pick one based on location...

No, theres nothing like that... Employer wont even know you were part of placement year program... Your degree will mention 1 year masters program...

Okay I dint understood the concept only of placement year in UK studies. What I understood from my general understanding was that 1 year placement year means the university will conduct job fair within that duration for the companies with which it has tie ups and student will get chance to give interviews to those companies. But what you explained is not that. If I search for job myself why I should inform universities then?
Its like a mandatory internship...
That 1 year placement/internship is part of your course... You will still be enrolled in your course and will also be working in the company... You can assume the work that you will do in a company as an assignment given by the university... Its just you will get paid(for most internships) to do the assignment...
