  • This is a tough pose and asks for a lot on our wrists but if you find the right shelf for the body, and the right amount of transferring of your weight, it is definitely possible! I’ll take you through a warm-up for the wrists, shoulders, core: front and back, and then lots of practice getting into the pose with different props to help you achieve success.
    Grab some blocks!
    At the end, I even throw in the transition from headstand to peacock pose but please have a strong headstand and body awareness before trying that one!

    This is an amazing video. You do a wonderful job of breaking down the pose, of preparing the various parts of the body for it, and for isolating the different components. I didn't quite get the leg lift my first session, but this gave me guidance for how to get there, as opposed to other videos I've seen where the presenter just pops into the pose immediately, basically saying, "easy! Now you do it!".

    I’ve been trying to get into this pose for some time and while other tutorials focus on core and back strength this tutorial allowed me to see that it was my wrist flexibility that prevented me from getting into this pose. I have a wide chest and can’t bend my elbows deep enough to tuck them in. Besides wrist stretches, is there anything else I can do?

    • @NatashaFitnessYogaPilates
      @NatashaFitnessYogaPilates  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Would it be helpful to not turn your wrists backwards? They could face sideways. That might help!

      Thanks for checking out my video! Unfortunately, it is impossible to put a time line on it as every body is so unique. Some will already have the strength to do it very soon and others might take months or years. With consistency, I personally think it can be achieved quite quickly since it's just about learning the transfer of balance. Bent knees will help a lot. Best of luck!

    Hi
    I am practicing Yogasana since many years but irregularity.
    I am also doing Gum, cycling, running etc.
    But now I have decided to do Yogasana daily for one hour.
    There are many asanas to be practiced, so it’s very confusing.
    Please guide me which Asanas are best for medium practitioners like me to do in one hour and also tell me the sequence in which it has to be done.
