Details from seller as follows:
It is with considerable regret and heartache that I am putting my OM up for sale.
Ralph built this guitar for me in September 2018.
The specification is as follows:
Amazon Rosewood back and sides with a Torrefied Sitka top.
Honduran Mahogany neck with an Ebony fretboard, 'V' Volute and neck heel strap button.
Snakewood bindings and heelcap.
Rosewood bridge and Amazon Rosewood headstock veneer.
Tortis scratchplate.
Waverly tuners with 'Butterbean' style buttons.
Fitted with 'K & K' Pure Mini pickup.
46mm at the nut and 57.5mm string spacing.
Scale-length: 25.4" / 645mm
Complete with mint condition Calton case.
This is an incredible guitar in every respect, has never left the house, and is in exactly the same condition as it was when I collected it from Ralph.
To sell this guitar is an absolutely massive wrench for me but unfortunately needs must.
If you are interested in buying my OM, please PM me in order to arrange a discussion.
Sounds good Cams, My Bown OM is now 11 years old and sounding fabulous
Lovely. I've got an old Furch Stanford OM, so I rarely get GAS, but that's an exquisite instrument, very well played. What's the tune around the 10 minute mark? It's full of stuff I'd like to be able to play, but can't yet.
It's a variation of Tony McManus's arrangement of the Robert Burns' tune, Ye Banks and Braes. Those Furch guitars are nice. One of my all-time favourite artists plays one - the wonderful Suzanne Vega.
wow, this is the axe i need in my life
Great sound Cams and I recognise something there learned I think from a VERY early RMMGA CD. I wish I could afford this for my 70th... 25 years ago John Renbourn suggested I needed an OM not a dreadnaught, so I made my Martin Guiitarmakers' Connection Kit - which is a rosewood and red spruce (they said redwood). Of course John was playing Bown even then but he referred to Martin OM as the generic type of guitar he thought would be right. The 46mm nut would suit me well and of course this is brighter and better balanced than the Lowden O-sizes I have ended preferring in the end. I should get my home made stripped of its wax and oil and French polished... but I don't think it would ever come close to this!
Cheers David. I remember the RMMGA CDs. That was when I was just arriving on the scene. The first gathering I missed after a five-year run was the one that Renbourn was at, when we'd just moved back to Scotland and my job kept me from attending. I'm always a little sad that I didn't manage that one.
Fab demo cams on a fab guitar
Thanks Simon. I wish I'd thought to practice that McManus piece before hand though. Ugh! I kept it in the edit through, because even flubbed sound is demo sound and the video wasn't about me after all!
is it still for sale
Hello , how much costs this guitar? Or is it already sold? Kind regards Johan
Already sold.
@@AcousticGuitarIO I bought it. It is awesome.
is this the same model as Clive Carroll plays
Same brand, certainly. I *think* Clive's is also an OM, but very different. All Ralph's guitars are unique and I'm very pleased to have had some time with this one.
@@AcousticGuitarIOhave you sold it
