Nice looking aircraft. Have not been on many large Airbuses. Usually fly with a Boeing aircraft on LH and UA. Small A319 or A320/21 for short domestic hops. Enjoyed being on your flight, thanks for the report.

I think are almost same.. 787-9 had more comfy seats and 350 is a bit quite I think.. Second thing what I like more on 350 are classic window shades.. In the past I preferred 787, but after my flight on brand new Hong Kong Airlines A350 I prefer this aircraft ... But I think it depends on each airline. I'm thinking to make some 787/350 compare video :-)

There are no direct Finnair A350 flights ORD-HEL available in March, you get their A350 if you have a common routing ORD-LHR-HEL, A350 available on the LHR-HEL leg. How did the food taste? I want to book an award ticket using my Alaska miles and fly this. Not sure if economy is worth wasting my miles if the service isn't great.
It depends on flight. I flew with Finnair 6 times and always order the same special AVML food. On flights to Hong Kong and Singapore my food was tasty (exactly the same meals), but on a Tokyo flight might be better :-D It probably depends on the chef, I think :-D. Otherwise, for example, on selected flights to Asia (HKG, SIN) is an Asian crew and their service is better than with the European crew.. I only fly to Asia with them and compared to other European carriers, Finnair is mostly better for me (in Economy class)
Random question but is there AC that can point onto each seat with Finnair? I struggle with flights that are too warm and I want to fly with Finnair to bangkok as it's the shortest and cheapest option!
Oh so... Finnair's A350 is not equipped with personal air vents, but AC on A350 is better on older aircrafts. Btw. I flew on many long-haul aircrafts, which missed personal air vents (A330, B787 ..) and I had no problem.

Pete Brandy I’ve heard 2020 is when the 777x comes into service. Not many US carriers have ordered them at the moment so I’ll most likely have to fly with Emirates or Qatar.
Nope Finnair is from Finland, but operates daily 2 flights to Tokyo Narita in cooperation with Japan Airlines (third daily rotation to Helsinki is operate Japan Airlines)
First A350 (reg. OH-LWA) was delivered in Oct 2015.. this one, which I flew from Tokyo, been delivered in April 2017 and the newest OH-LWM in Dec 2018. Total Finnair operate 12 A350 aircrafts :-)

Hi, if you mean a universal power outlets, on Finnair's A350 are in Business only, in Economy are USB ports only..

I remember when NRT was being built there were alot of protest from local farmers...some were serious..from turning their land into a major airport..
And was built very far from Tokyo :-D 80 minutes by train :-D Haneda is much better and closer to Tokyo city :-)

Since I have traveled with Finnair often before, I know more seats on their A350s .. eg 42L, 44C, 49A .. and of course my favorite 42A :-D
