I loved BOB, Ive still got all their records, playlists from concerts, and my 'im with the band' backstage pass for a concert I went to. Good memories :o)
Many thanks for putting this up, Kapitan. You have no idea how much I love this song! Ain't it funny how sometimes when you see a band for the first time, as I just have watching this, they don't look anything like you expect 'em to??
Guy, I'm writing a book about BOB and would value your dad's input - pls could you ask him to email me (John) at i40Publishing@gmail.com, even if it's to say he doesn't want to be involved, which I'd understand given how much time has passed. Ta, J.
Hi ALL, theres a new BOB cd coming out in April 2013 a compilation 2 cd set, sessions, singles, remixes etc, you can follow news on twitter @bobindiebanduk and ask any questions you like...regards BOB...
Dean, can't seem to find @bobindiebanduk on twitter. What label is this comp being released on and the name of the set? Would dearly love to get my hands on one of these. Loved BOB since the late 80's, travelling from B'ham up to Leeds, (The Penny Candles supported at least once, with Hugh Whitaker on drums, rolling up on a push bike, wearing a bright yellow fishermans coat/shawl/thing). Fucking brilliant. Good times!
54 now. Late 80's indie saved me from total musical ennui back then. Thanks Bob, Man From Del Monte, Ultra Vivid Scene etc etc
To paraphrase John Peel - in any well-ordered society this would have been a number one hit in the charts
One of the great lost pop songs off all time.
Should have been massive.
Thanks for posting the Video
This song is in my top 5 of all time. Looking forward to seeing BOB later in 2014

A tune I was aware of at the time, but never acknowledged it's brilliance until later. Just wish I'd seen them live when they were still active
I seriously love this song... it reminds me of my dad...
Just got in from seeing them play their final gig in Hull. Time flies...

My dad is Jem Morris
I used to share a house with Jem in London, on Angel Road - about the same time as Bob formed.

Hi get your uncle to release swag pack on C.D you will be well famous...top tunes
Anyone know the guitar chords for this?
I love this song, but it's unbelievable how much this sounds like The Smiths!
Better vocals and singers though! :)
@@busterabcat ...and the Smiths never sounded so cheerful!
Great song! Anyone has lyrics and chords for me?
It's like Damon Albarn singing for sunshiney Smiths :)

KapitanSchwarz magic, thanks mate. "the minimum of style" really shouldn't have been that hard to make out.
