Was thinking of buying Neyali's precon, but was worried it could not pull up a fight against the Phyrexians. Watching this gameplay helped me see things differently!
Every single creature having double strike is so powerful! I’m planning to upgrade the deck at some point so keep your eyes open for the deck tech!
If there are any two things I fear when playing EDH, it's artifact and/or token decks. Artifacts are the visible enemy, but the cute ol' little tokens that could never be threatening whatsoever always sneak up on you.
Neyali has got me on some bad terms I have won 3 games in a row lol I am switching decks for a few to try and hide out for a bit lol

I’m building Ixhel but Ovika looks like an extremely fun deck to play. Definitely recommending this commander to a friend after this video!
Both of those commanders look great. The Ovika is crazy good, but don't forget your mana rocks!
Awesome video! I’m absolutely in love with Ovika since it was spoiled but I’m still trying to figure out how I want to build it, so many directions you can go! I loved to see the tribal matters cards like skirk prospector, always enjoy when I see deck builders pay attention to the creature types. Definitely including mana echoes in my list!
Hey its Christian here! So I built Tom's deck using cards I had already (due to time pressure in getting the video out!) and the commander looks great! Mana Echoes is a great idea, similar to skirk prospector can help you create crazy amounts of mana! I did include some goblin lords in the deck (moxfield link in description) as creating so many goblins is so explosive that giving them just 1 more power can make a huge impact! I think pre cons seem to be getting more and more powerful! When I bought the (since upgraded) Obuun precon about 18 months ago, it would not have stood a chance against either of these!

What a great game it was, i watched the video to get an idea of Ovika for my transformation of my zada goblin Tribal in an Spellslinger Izzet Pyrexian Goblin Tribal and didn't get disappointed at all. Though I'm surprised no one died from infect with how fast people got poison counters

For filming, we use a frame-mounted DSLR camera for the overhead and phone camera for the side shots. You’ve probably seen that we use wireless lapel mics for the audio - hope this helps ☺️
And the cow was a house warming gift off my mum!

Thanks for the deck lists! I’m trying to build Ria and really struggling to deal with my pod’s faster decks.
My honest opinion after building (I had to do it with only cards I already had!) Is that there are probably better commanders to run as an Orzhov go wide or aristocrats strategy. It felt like there were a few hoops to jump through to get any pay off. Good luck though! Haha 😄
@@TheChadMagic I’m actually just trying to build a go wide strategy with infect. Trying to increase the lethality of the tokens, so it’s not a slow death by a thousand cuts. The decks I play against are more combo oriented, but I don’t want to just play a izzet spellslingers
@Allied Entertainment not a fan of izzet myself either - well hopefully my deck list is helpful, certainly not optimised though haha

33:25 if you cast at X=10 or more, it creates 10 2/2 Vigilance and 10 4/4 Flying, Vigilance. Not 20 4/4 with Flying, Vigilance

I honestly don't know what I would have done had Tom not taken that deal! I think the best move would have been to kill Tom (if I could - not sure?) and brace for the crackback! Ultimately Christian taking Matt out was really important for me!

How did he get 20 of each token for finale of glory? Did I miss an anointed procession or some other similar effect on the board?
Matt had previously cast a double vision using his commanders ability - this meant that he got to copy the finale! Hope this clears things up 🙂 (I think it was Tom's double vision)
Fun to watch, pure Commander! But the shuffling of the pink sleeves is a little bit annoying :'D

Neyali, Sun's Vanguard player missed a trigger on attack for the phoenix add exp counter and a 2/2 rebel tapped and attacking (it would have double Strike)

No we haven't upgraded them, they're straight out the box. Unfortunately we have to prioritise getting the video out ASAP 😁

I think pre cons are starting to get more powerful, if I compare Neyali to my Obuun pre con from Zendikar Rising (which was my first commander deck), the power level is really up - and I love it!

So many idea's for the Ovika deck i'm gonna make. Now i've just got to work out if it's worth making a creatureless version.
Christian here - so I built the deck for Tom using cards I had lying around. One thing I will say, being able to get even a single goblin lord on the battlefield would've probably meant an early victory for him - I was terrified he was going to draw one! There is a link to the decklist in the description, hope this helps!
