  • Like a dragon lazily resting on the banks of Lake Victoria, the Weyland-controlled SSO Industries fills the amber sky with billows of acrid smoke. As the largest planet-wide consumer of Helium-3, SSO provides power to the bustling cities on the shores of the lake; the heart that drives the Sub-Saharan League. What clandestine plans do these public facing innovators have to sabotage the construction of the second beanstalk?

    SSO essentially gives you 3 clicks and 3 credits worth of value at the end of your turn with 5/3 agendas. In comparison, most identities give you a single credit per turn.
    So.... Yeah, if you don't stop that early it'll get out of control for sure. Such a good identity. Too bad the value you get comes at such high risk. Fits Weyland perfectly :d

      Sorta. They're not actual credits, just situational credits which is a real problem. But I agree that it's way better than people thought, especially if you can highroll on turn 1.

    Bio Vault and Jinja City Grid seem like perfect includes in a SSO deck! Bio Vault has amazing synergy with Hollywood Renovations, and Jinja grid let's you build a massive remote saving you clicks

      I definitely need to test Bio Vault more outside of Jinteki - it's a very powerful ability, and anything that throws counters on it for free is quite efficient. Jinja City Grid is a powerhouse as well. At least in SSO, revealing the ICE isn't too much of a drawback, considering everything is going to be Femme Fatale'd anyway. :P

    Could Trick of Light have a home with SSO Industries to get around the "you can only advance the ICE once" limitation if you want to have more two-pointers in your deck?

    • @MetropoleGrid
      @MetropoleGrid  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Manzell! It's definitely easy to get value from Trick of Light in SSO Industries, with all the free advancements, but I worry that the agenda suite might get a bit convoluted with the addition of 3/2's:
      There are currently no Public 3/2 agendas, so your two-pointers won't be giving you value from your identity. That's not great, if you find you need to jam them into your remote. Furthermore, if you find yourself often scoring two three-point agendas in a game, the two-pointers could easily just be Hostile Takeovers that you could score from hand. This makes the optimal path to be scoring one three-pointer, and fast-advancing two two-pointers, which is a lot more difficult than simply jamming two 5/3's. That being said, it could definitely be tested. Have you given it a shot?

    I've been playing SSO a ton as of late. Transparency Initiative a Gov Takeover means you can have a 11 strength firewall turn 2. As janky as it sounds, fast track really makes this work more than one would think. Fun ID

    For extra fun with Bio Vault, wait until they encounter an Anansi and then end the run, making them take 3 net damage in the process.

      Michael Bertrand since the Corp would have to use Bio Vault on encounter, doesn’t the runner have the opportunity to break the ICE first anyway?

      Upon closer reading of the timing chart, it looks like you are correct. Sad times

    I think bio vault could be fun to help protect Oberth Protocol. Oberth reduces the cost of advancing the Vault as well

      That's a pretty interesting idea! I haven't considered Bio-Vault out of faction enough. What's the chance that Shipment from Kaguya also helps out enough?

    While it is true you cannot advance Oduduwa, you can still SSO it at end of turn (once) or Priority Contract it out - or even Dedication Ceremony when rezzed

    • @MetropoleGrid
      @MetropoleGrid  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't consider Priority Construction-ing Oduduwa, and that significantly speeds things up. Luckily, even more hot Priority Construction ICE keeps coming out, so maybe that's worth revisiting!

    Localized product line to fetch Dedication Ceremony makes you score Casting Call Government Takeover in 2 turns.
    Best ice in this ID in my experience is Odudowa and the advanceable ice that gets stronger with number of adv tokens making the inside ice even stronger

    Endless EULA would be more thematic if the 4th subroutine was that the Runner had to pay 2 instead.
