When the guy (Draven) threw the sword at the prisoner women (Riven), it was actually her sword that was confiscated. He threw the sword not at her, but the chains that were restraining her ( 3:17 ). He freed her and gave her her weapon for a fair fight

@@AnnedolfFrankler911 Jhin wasn't actually trying to kill Camille through their scene. He was putting on a show for her, making it an amazing performance. He began a performance to draw her in for the finale, everything was set up to look better than it was efficient in killing. He is a showman.

I read every bit of lore i could find, and so i believe to know a fair bit about champions. So i double checked everything i could find about jhin. And while it is stated that his weapon is masterfully crafted, and his bullets are magical, there isnt actually a mention of 4th one. Just that weapon carries 4.

The whole video is about the country of Ionia.
Jhin (guy playing the piano) is a serial killer from Ionia who is obsessed with the beauty in the perfect death of his victims. He has attacked the Opera House in Piltover and Camille and her personal army of her noble family have come to get him. However Jhin is actually funded and controlled by powerful Ionians in secret and the attack was a ruse to lure Camille out.
Irelia (girl with blades) is defending her homeland of Ionia from a Noxus invasion and all those who come to help her (Karma, Kennen, Akali and Yasuo) are all from Ionia.
Finally Riven (the prisoner) was one of Noxus' best soldiers but went AWOL after her unit was betrayed and now resides under the protection of Ionia. She has been captured by Noxians as a traitor and made to fight in the arena for Draven (Darius' younger brother).

Cannot as Riven wouldn't be captured even if Noxians got to her. She would be straight up executed on the spot. That is how Noxus deals with traitors. And we know that.

@@h3ll0gudbye I honestly think that all draven is good for, is making your life miserable so that when u come back to normal adc's you're like "Wtf, i can just auto, this is so easy". Getting to mastery 5 on draven i learned more on how to play caitlyn than how to play draven.

He is good for helping you improve mechanically in the game, (at least I think he is), and dw, even with mastery 7 on multiple accounts, I still sometimes don't know what I'm doing with Draven, that's why I enjoy playing him.

As some have mentioned, when Draven (menacing looking dude in the arena) threw the sword into the arena, he purposely missed and unchained Riven (the white hair girl in chains). He likes to make a spectacle of his executions so he wanted the fight to be entertaining to everyone watching. On top of that, the sword actually belongs to Riven.
As for Irelia (girl in red armor), she gets knocked down by Sion (essentially an undead Hulk with a furnace in his stomach), but it's a little understandable. He's a legend among his people and was reanimated and strengthened to what he currently is--pretty much near demi-god. He was known for striking down one of the Demacian kings in his previous life and retains the king's crown in his jaw.
More about Irelia though, she lives in Ionia (alongside the other champions that assisted her which included [in order] Karma, Akali, Yasuo, and Kennen) and mounted the first real resistance against Noxus (where Sion, Draven, and the soldiers on the shore hail from). Before that, Ionia was a super peaceful place that didn't really believe in violence or fighting back, they allowed the land's magic and nature to deflect their enemies. But Noxus came in like a wrecking ball and successfully landed their soldiers on the shore and began taking more and more land (while spilling Ionian blood along the way). Irelia was one of the first ones to successfully stand up and strike back against the invaders.
Oh yeah, one last thing, Kennen is a yordle which is a species of tiny furry humanoids with innate magical powers. Some look cat-ish, some look rat-ish, hamster-ish... you get the point. His name Jhin and he is maniac sociopath killer. He belive he is artist and he make art by killing people (mad man).
And in this cinematic he create a scene - with all his trap AND he make this trap 3:04 You see? on the chandelier. So I suppose he dont try to kill this woman with blade-legs he wanted her to activate that trap and create this shot 4:17 this is why he make a bow - he appreciate thanks the audience and at the same time shows them his creation. And he don't mind how many lives he take - he give up even his own for this

There's a few theories on what this cinematic showcases for the league universe, as well as showing us several characters and the way they "realistically" interact/fight in their world. We have a glimpse at Noxus (the gladiator arena) with Draven (bored at the beginning), Swain (the grand general, found by pausing the cinematic at 1:26 and observing the crows/ravens flying above the arena - Swain's trademark), and Riven (the chained woman). The scene between Camille ("lady with the scissor legs") and Jhin (the one playing the piano) is a glimpse into Piltover. Irelia (the one knocked into the air by Sion), Karma (the one who shields Irelia and speeds up Yasuo), Akali (the ninja from K/DA and the one who jumps on Sion), Kennen (a Yordle ninja who use to work alongside Akali), and Yasuo (the one utilizing the gigantic tornado)all showcase Ionian heroes who defend their homeland from invasion (in this case against Noxus, whose invading army is led by Sion (hulking giant with a huge axe).
In terms of what the cinematic shows, it's been pretty split: the events could be future canon stories for Riot to expand on in the universe or they could be events that never happen (Jhin v. Camille) or have happened (Irelia's defense of the Placidium, just with extra characters showing up, or Riven's backstory being adjusted to her journey beginning as a slave rather than as a common Noxian footsoldier) and are stylized in a way to showoff to viewers (which would make them non-canon). I won't spoil more of the lore stuff or any character details because you can read all about them from the LOL Universe website.
Because I've played League since Season 1, this cinematic is incredibly awesome to watch because it takes the champions I've seen and played with over the last 9 years and makes them more human and relatable (their abilities are toned to a more realistic quality, i.e. Sion using his ult to charge into Irelia is realistic enough to believe that she wouldn't be able to block or dodge it - momentum/mass, Sion is a huge dude).

Hey guys, this trailer is just the beggining of a big change in LoL.
They teamed up with MARVEL to make comics of all the Lore and probably they are doing something else... another big big big game that maybe take a much more serious approach.
Try to watch this trailer as pure Lore telling, they are showing us the present of Runaterra (invasion of Jonia, Jhin massacre in a theatre of Piltover, Riven surviving in the arena).

LORE DUMP FOR ALL!!!!! Characters in order of Appearance.
Jhin - The Virtuoso - A psychopath serial killer with a passion for art and making a display of his kills. Wearing a mask, very little is truely known of the man, only that he is artfully insane and loves to incorporate the number four in his attacks, like an insidious 4 beat song. (when he was bowing down for that woman jumping on him u can see another weapon coming out of his shoulder which is his fourth and most powerful shot like ingame)
(small note: if you look up the details of jhin's traps it says that they just throw blades everywhere and shit so the visuals and the "beauty" of it is said to be all in jhin's mind while all of that could be blood and insides of people blowing up)
Draven -The Executioner - A Prince of the kingdom of Noxus (brutal conquering nation where Might equals Right) , brother to Darius (Does not appear in vid). Holds elaborate executions to entertain himself and enjoys a good fight and as seen, when a real challenge presents itself will gladly come to finish the job with a flourish of his spinning, throwing axes while showing off for the crowd.
Irelia - The Blade Dancer - A protector to the people of Ionia (Runeterra's beautiful oriental area) protecting others from the invaders of Noxus with her skills and her flowing blade dance.
Camille - The Steel Shadow - Once a noblewoman from the magic tech inspired Piltover, she had allowed herself to become a mechanic assassin to weed out those that are a threat to her family and has a very cold heart. We see her here with a group of enforcers to come capture, or kill Jhin for his vile yet beautiful crimes. Using her grappling hooks and agility she charges for the killer, as her men explode in the Blossom Traps of Jhin bursting in light all around them.
Your favorite!!!! Riven - The Exile - Once a potent swordswoman of Noxus even awarded an enchanted rune sword for her victories by the previous Noxian General Borm Darkwill, she had been betrayed by another commander of Noxus in the process of using everything to assure victory including a chemical wagon being sent into the middle of battle to explode, only Riven survived by the power of her rune blade as many Ionian and Noxus soldiers lay dead all around her. She left Noxus, shattered her own blade, and is now wandering Ionia seeking atonement for her own part to play in the battles of Noxus. In video - she has apparently been captured by Noxus and sent to be executed in Draven's entertainment pit. Showing off her skills, Draven sees a challenge, tossing her the remains of her shattered blade and leaps in to challenge her.
Sion - The Undead Juggernaut - Once a powerful and acclaimed warrior of Noxus he had finally been felled in battle due to an intense level of focused fire and attacks upon him by an army. However, he has been denied his rest in peace as he was ordered to be salvaged, installed with a heartforge within his belly, armor bolted into his body, his lost jaw replaced by a metal mandible, he has been sent forth once more on the battle fields to c charge forth and slay everything in his path. (FUN FACT, on top of his head is not hair, but a single Ionian sword driven into his skull with a ribbon around it)
Back -Up champions (Cause my fingers are tired so less lore until another time)
Karma - a mystical enchantress of Ionia who protected Irelia from Sion's attack with her strong shield and watching the others champions from possible incoming threats.
Akali - A powerful ninja of Ionia and ex member of the Kinkou ninja order, using her abilities distracts Sion with her acrobatics on his form and throwing smoke in his eyes to open him up for more attack.
Yasuo - A powerful wind themed wandering ronin of Ionia come to aid of the village under attack by Noxus sending out his infamous knock up tornado to send the army reserves sky high.
Kennan!!! - Another Ionian ninja, a current member of the Kinkou order. Dashes through the Noxus battle line with his electric dashing, stopping before the juggernaut and unleashing his lightning storm ability to blast Sion with powerful ring of pulsing electricity gravely damaing the undead abomination.
I hope this helps learn a few things and inspires a search for more information on the Lands of Runeterra and the over 100 champions that make Summoner's Rift their battleground.
In our home land , we call the like of you the heavy , which means charismatic , this is the way of showing your admiration for something but in a calm way .
These League music videos just get better and better. I can't really say "one is better than the other", because they're all equally amazing in their own regard.

The whole point of the escene of the gigant (Sion) taken down the girl (Irelia) is that, sion’s últ makes him unstopable and stunts people when it hits, that‘ s why Irelia looks like she’s going down quite easy.

Riven (the girl who fought in the arena) used to be a Noxian general. Noxians and Ionia have been in a war for a long time, Ionia being the the country of the Village that Irelia (the girl with the floating blades) defended against the Noxian army.
The reason why she is fighting in the Arena is, that she defied orders of her superiors after she realised how cruel and unneccesary the War started by Noxus was.
After a few Months or Years of a life in solitude she got captured and was sent to the arena together with some gladiators.
That Giant Blade Draven threw at her is the one she got in the past from the Noxian government as a reward for her actions in War, before she turned against them.
It is broken because she shattered it as a metaphor of her letting go of the past.
