I so appreciated your videos. You are particularly good at being so clear and preset the material in a perfect amount and order. I get so much so quick from your tutorials. Thank you so much!
Just discovered your site today and must say I am blown away by this video. Particularly your walkthrough of the file system -- very helpful. I have relocated my User Lib as shown. Simple stuff makes this vst more usable down the road as I go back and forth between my various synths. Speaking of other synths, I look forward to your video re Arturia's Synclavier V when it's done. 2023? Best, Bill
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I've considered those too - and Kontakt, as it happens. They're on my list :) It just so happens I'm enjoying writing ambient music at the moment, so it seemed a perfect opportunity to tackle Reaktor. One monster at a time!
I'm so glad you're doing this series. I tried to get into Reaktor Blocks last year, and then threw up my hands and moved on to Cardinal, because the interface was such a pain. The tip on changing the user presets directory alone is worth the time spent watching. One question: what plugin are you using for your spectrum analysis? It looks like you're using Supervision for the oscilloscope and something else for the Spectrum. Thanks again.
I have to admit, after watching this video I still don't know what Reaktor is about... As all of your tutorials, well done and I think all you say is true and valid, I just don't see what role Reaktor could play in music production. I have to take a few steps back and first understand what Reaktor actually is... Then I come back 🙂
At it's heart, Reaktor is a pure modular music system - the most impenetrable and technically challenging of all sound generating systems. "Racks" attempt to hide a little of that complexity, but it's still a beast of a thing. If you want a more accessible introduction to the world of modular music, check out my series on Arturia's Modular-V, which is closer to a recognisable musical instrument than Reaktor. Fundamentally, though, they're actually quite similar.
Thanks!
Thanks very much for your kind support, it's much appreciated :)
Great. Thank you
You are welcome!

You are so welcome, thanks for the feedback!
Very nice. Looking forward to following this. Thank you
Thanks, I hope you enjoy the series :)
Excellent tutorial, love the detailed explanation of such confusing content. I look forward to diving in.... Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback! I must admit I've taken my eye off the Reaktor ball recently but you've reminded me that I need to get back on the horse :)
Thank you Starting on another road of discovery.
You're welcome... I hope you enjoy the journey!

Thanks for the feedback, that's very kind of you to say! I'd say the odds of the Synclavier getting done next year are very good :)
thanks for this, thinking of buying it while it's on discount.
You're welcome - hope you enjoy it!
Cool! Glad to see you are covering this. Something to consider for future tutorials is all those built in macro instruments in Halion...

ah brilliant, man...really need help with this one, thanks
Thanks for the feedback, I hope you enjoy the series :)
Oooh nice, I am so ready for this! Didn't dare to dream you'd cover Reaktor!
Neither did I ;) It's a deep-breath moment, but I'm looking forward to it!
Man thanks for helping clarify some of the confusing aspects of Reaktor. Im relatively new and there is still a lot of "head scratching" going on
Glad I could help, thanks for the feedback!
Reaktor 6 just came up on Thomann for £60 so took the plunge..... good on yer Anthony!
I don't think you'll be disappointed. Hope my series helps :)
I have a question if i want to layer .rkplr how would i go about doing this?
That folder issue is the fastest way to lose customers and to push away potentials

Never mind about the spectrum plugin. I saw it a the beginning of episode 3.
I switched to Insight a year or so ago. Its spectrum and loudness tabs are both very good.
Could I use this as an effects rack while I play guitar live, or live recording
Yes. There is an Insert FX version of Reaktor 6, so it can behave exactly as any other effect.
Can you use Reaktor with Dorico?
I'm afraid I don't own Dorico so I wouldn't like to guess
Is reaktor for mix?
Sorry, I don't understand the question - can you ask it another way please?
@@OneManAndHisSongs is reaktor a plugin to mix my songs or a synth?
