Hi prof, Could you explain how can compensate Q by capacitor bank, not voltage, for example we have voltage in good range, but we want to compensate Q by big Compressor load.
Hi, How did you create the summary beside the diagram ? I have watched most of your videos but couldn’t remember you have a video on that. Was it done using DPL ?
Hi prof it's really helpful we are thanking you alot , I have question , how we can create Capacitor switching at specific time to see the transients during it
Thanks so much for being a subscriber to the chanel, we appreciate it. You can install a regular capacitor and then create an switching event, and you will be able to see the transient. It is not complicated. if you want, try byyourself and if you have issue, share the model and I can have a look. It is just a gesture for one of my susbcribers :-) Best regards, FGL
I think you should explore a bit more my youtube channel ULTC is explained somewhere....Regarding phase-shifting transformer, my students are not using them now....let see if something can be added in the future.
That’s great to hear. I’m currently doing my thesis and am wanting to integrate STATCOMs in a distribution network. Do you have any papers/ links that you would recommend that could help with this?
- tap changer = modify transformers ratio, change the voltage. Background: load increase, more voltage drop, use tap changer at load current is low. type: OLTC, NLTC - set the shunt capacitor & tap changer automatically - print the plot & SLDin the "professional way" wkwk - transformer shifting = modify phase angle vector at transformer - in the real world, shunt capacitor didn't install at nominal voltage of the busbar, why? when we use another characteristic of compensator (R-L-C, R-L-C1-C2Rp, R-L)?
I am sorry, I do not understand your request, that is the P.M. Anderson 9 bus system, data of that system is available in 1000 of websites! and if you are looking for the DIgSILENT Model is available at my GitHub. Best regards, FGL
Thank you soooooo much. You saved me weeks of running around finding how to make my SVR work!
Dear @Nana Abena, I am gland that I can help!!! It is nice to know. What are you doing with SVR? Best regards. FGL
Wow. This class is really amazing. Great job. You are an excellent professor
Saludos, muchisimas gracias. FGL
Sir, your excellent lectures helped me a lot to learn Powerfactory and to complete given assignment.
Thanks very much for your kind comment. Please, stay in touch, best regards, FGL
Dear Professor, thank you very much. I had a problem with auto adjustment.
Great Share Professsor
Thanks very much for your comment!
Sir... In this vedio you have explained tap changer. Its very helpful as I am doing project on that topic. Cn you please explain phase shifting also.

you can explane how to use control mode by power factor?
Hi sir :
can be used my controller application for STATCOM in power system with faults and executive in digsilent
amazing, 10/10
Thanks very much

Are you asking for the summary box? If yes, wtach here: th-cam.com/video/_mtQohP3kvw/w-d-xo.html
From where are you writing?

Sir...can you please explain simulation of OLTC and phase shifting transformer

i have the book of anderson but i don't find the data, please can share it?
Chapter 2, section '2.10 Classical Stability Study of a Nine-bus System', page 38 ;-)
How can i Simulate STATCOM in Powerfactory ?
Yes, you can. You must create the model using DSL. Good luck! Best regards, FGL
were you able to simulate a STATCOM on a network?
Riza Tolentino yes, i did it.
That’s great to hear. I’m currently doing my thesis and am wanting to integrate STATCOMs in a distribution network. Do you have any papers/ links that you would recommend that could help with this?
Riza Tolentino we can together share our knowledge, let’s talk On any Network Appa

Good job sir, can you please convert the source files on github.com/fglongatt/My_DIgSILENT_PowerFactory to an other version of powerfactory(15.7.1).
I am afraid not, DIgSILENT Stopped support for all version many years ago, and now it is impossible to migrate down. I am sorry!
