    I've been looking at T-Rex pedal reviews for the past 2 weeks or more and your page has never come up until yesterday. That's totally ridiculous because your videos are way more informative and way more entertaining than 95% of the guitar related videos I've watched! You've actually convinced me to purchase 2 new T-Rex pedals. Whatever you do - don't stop! You're great, despite the lack of views on TH-cam.

    Best guitar faces ever.
    Pretty freakin great playing too good sir.
    Oh and I have a Fat Shuga too, and think it's a superb pedal. You're indeed right about it being an unsung hero - fantastically unique and really great voicing in its tone, giving it a really nice ballsy blues tone when into a good tube amp.

    Dude, you just sold (1) a ton of Tone Specific PUP's, (2) a ton of RevStar guitars, and (3) a heck of a ton of Fat Shuga's!!!! That opening blues jam was just awesome!

    I’ve been loving the tones I’ve been hearing from this pedal from everyone, but you made the perfect vid for me - as a fellow heavy-handed tele player, your demos actually give me a good idea of how something might sound in my hands. (Side note: the Bigsby videos are an excellent resource for me as well)
    And I can’t believe I didn’t know about fuzz into boost into front end. Oh my. That is GNARLY!

    I can't decide if watching you wail makes me want to give up guitar or practice nonstop. Your technique is absolutely stunning. If buying a Fat Shuga pedal could make me play like you, I would instantly buy ten. Where on Earth did you learn to play like that?

    Awesome demo as always...where would this pedal fit on a typical pedalboard? My boosts are almost always before my dirt and reverb is typically last in the chain. I'm concerned the reverb would be too much when placed before delays. It sounds amazing on it's own, just trying to picture how it would fit into the chain with 8-10 other pedals since it's a unique combination of effects. I've run into similar issues with the Monterey...I want the fuzz before delays, but the vibe after, etc...

    • @mikes062
      @mikes062 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      One of the things I think about for that stuff is that there's really a lot of options for how to set up your board, you can really do it differently to help create your signature sound. Being such a basic reverb type it's not necessarily the type that has to be at the end to encompass everything, so if it's ahead of your dirt box it doesn't really have to affect on the tone the same as the end. You could use it at the end to boost the entire sound like he talks about in the video too. It's really something you just have to just sit down and mess with. That's just my thoughts on it.

    • @JayLeonardJ
      @JayLeonardJ  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, thanks for commenting! That was exactly what I was trying to show in the demo.
      In Clip 2, I use it at the end of the chain (the same way I'd use an Echoplex preamp). Having it in the end keeps the reverbs clean and makes the boost work as an overall lift to your tone.
      In Clip 3, I use it at the front end before the overdrives. What that does is add more saturation to your overdrive tone and distorts your reverbs in a very Spagetti Western/Outboard Spring Tank kind of way.
      Check out both again and see which one works the best for your setup :)

      Thanks for the response! I'll definitely give it a closer listen. Your videos are incredible...i'm probably subbed to a couple of hundred channels and yours is the only one i have a little party in my head when i see a number next to your name indicating a new video. Keep up the awesome work!
