A few cards aside, I think the 7 drop Scar is where I've disagreed the most. Being able to just come down and swing in to take out a majority of threats with his 6 strength is impactful, but he's also able to survive challenging a number of them (like 8 drop Elsa, Giant Tinker Bell, all 3 Legendary Beasts, Sapphire Hades, Rock Star Stitch, Legendary Fairy Godmother, 6 drop Yzma, etc.) to be able to ready and take out a SECOND major threat on the board the turn he comes down too. And if you have a healing or bounce strategy going, his potential skyrockets from there.
That is a good observation about all the metagame relevant threats that Scar can take out. He has been seeing some play in the Ruby-based control decks lately and has outperformed my expectations. I still have a teeth (and ambition) against it, but will concede that he is better than I gave him credit for. :)
My favorite Ruby card from Set 2 is Queen of Hearts Sensing Weakness. I played in a draft tournament last night and it was the most devastating card that I played against. I played two games against opponents who used it. In one game, my opponent hard casted it on turn 5 and then never quested or attacked with it for the rest of the game, and I got destroyed. They were just playing a lot of vanillas for the rest of the game, and I just couldn't keep up. It was never a hard decision for them to use their characters to quest or challenge, they would alternate between and would get rewarded for either option. The second game where it was played was even scarier because that opponent had a bunch of rush characters in their deck which was such a nasty combo and I made mistakes because I was afraid to quest even when it was just the Queen on their side of the field. I miraculously won that game because they used the Queen to quest, and I had a rush Mulan in my hand that they didn't know about and was able to come back.
She is definitely a very powerful card. Multiple-draw potential on an common trigger of an inkable card. She could be as impactful as Raspunzel was in the first chapter. Thankfully she is Uncommon so she won't cost an arm to get. :)
I agree with most of these ratings my biggest concern is felicia 3 stars for me is at least 4 stars, probably the best ruby card of the expansion, both naamari and tremaine are really good but uninkable so I’ll rate then 4 stars
It is true that there isn't much competing with Felicia in the 1-drop, inkable spot, so she will see some play for sure. I'm not sure I would go as far as to say the best ruby card though, but I understand your argument for it.
You are wrong about Donald Duck, it's a 1 star rating, BTW there a quite a few spoilers from (aparently) set 3 (all rares), will you do a video on it? after watching it im not sure I did the right thing since it takes away some of the hype from set 2
I don't plan on reviewing the set 3 cards for a while. I will finish the RotF set reviews then go back to some deck and gameplay videos, with some special ones here and there.
I disagree with your assessment of Ratigan. I played in a draft last night and went 3 - 0 and Ratigan was one of my most important cards. Being Uninkable wasn't too much of a hinderence because I would always save it so that I could manipulate an extremely beneficial combat for myself that would take out annoying opposing ready characters like the Emerald Daisy Duck and ready 2 lore questers that have already quested and have solid attack like the 5 drop vanilla Fairy Godmother or Winnie the Pooh
Thanks for sharing your experience. I think that there are better options in constructed, but in limited he feels like a good option. How would you rate him in constructed based on your experience?
@@GeniusYoshi It usually won't be a 4 of in decks but it's a great tech card for decks that care about keeping the opponent's character count low. It's also a great combo piece for turns where you want to make optimum battles. I also think that it's a great piece in the battle matters Ruby deck that includes Queen of Hearts and Shere Kahn. I would put it at 4 stars because you're getting the ability of 2 great actions and the stats of a basic 3 drop all in one package which could swing the match in your favor if you play it at the right time
Thanks for the video; love your reviews!
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad that you are having a good time with them!
Im loving the reviews, really diggin the humor. 😊
I'm glad that you are enjoying them! Thanks for the feedback. :)
Love it thanks.
I'm glad that you enjoyed the video!
Which Ruby card from Rise of the Floodborn are you most excited to try out?
I'm really excited to try out the Queen of Hearts that draws cards. She looks strong and fun to use.
@@channelaboutthischannel6035 She seems really good. I'm looking forward to trying her out too!
I stoped the video, to tell you I agree with your Donald rating ;)
Thanks for the confirmation! :)

Maui and New Scar with Dinner Bell draws you a ton of cards
That is true and probably a good way to play it; Big rush beaters that get recycled into cards!
I curious to see how Ruby-Amethyst if going to evolve after gaining so many good characters with removal abilities.
I plan on making a deck and gameplay video soon on an updated Ruby-Amethyst list from RiseOfTheFloodborn.

It is fun to speculate on the cards of a set and challenge each other's point of view before the meta shapes up. ;)
Yeah it is :D can't wait to see the decks you will brew or play@@GeniusYoshi
@@sliverbysliver Thanks! It should be a fun ride!
