HT is better coz it released one year after inart, and this is their forth attempt on TDK joker, be frankly, without Inart entering the industry, HT will still the same
Thanks to Inart for pushing hot toys to up their game. I have the Inart joker, a great figure, but well done to hot toys , looks fabulous. Both great figures!
No need to be diplomatic lol. This is inarts first figure, sure. But they make statues. They know how to do this stuff. They THOUGHT they could compete with their photoshopped figures with the master painter's paint application. They just woke up hot toys from their complacency. Now they're going to continue to show why they've been around for so long.
Mate what a great video! Love the comparisons here. I think Hot Toys got the sculpt and hair pretty much spot on, although like you say the Inart one is nearly 2 years old and their 1st effort!
Yes, for a first effort it's a great figure. I say it all of the time, it looks soooo much better in hand. On camera it looks out of proportion, bug/cross eyed, and the paint apps look flat. As for it being two years old, that's still relatively recent. Many figures which are nigh on perfect, aesthetically, launched 5-10 years ago. Rather than the age of a release, what's more important are the skills of those who produced it, how much time they were given to iterate etc. Hot Toys Yondu is a good example, a figure that's approximately 6 years old.
I have the inart rooted, and the hot toys sculpted on preorder. I like both of these. But the rooted hair on hot toys does look better I will admit. But I'm happy to have the new hot toys one, that will make 4 jokers in my collection, with the inart rooted 2 pack, new hot toys, and the old DX 11 Joker (and I'm using the laughing head on that one just to have something different on display 😁)
Awesome Comparison dude, I have Inart Sculpted version and this makes me want to sell my Inart and I'm sure pay double to track down the Hot Toys Artison
Hot toys is the better overall. Have inart rooted two pack, artisan hot toys on the way and also jnd on pre order (yes it's too much!) Will see which one is the best and maybe take parts from each and make an ultimate one. I do think the best bang for buck if you like, will be hot toys.
What a comprehensive comparison! Great job dude. I agree... both great figures and I think it is obvious the HT version will be better since the Inart version was released almost 2 years ago. if the HT was not better i would be worried. Overall... collectors that have either should be happy. i think this is HT just flexing their muscles... both this and Bane have been super releases.
Thanks for the comparison, bro helps a lot huge waiting for somebody to do this. They’re both really great figures you can pick apart from both and make essentially the ultimate. The code is definitely better. The shoes are better than the other one. The gloves are better on the other one, the vest and the pants are definitely better than the other one, but the HT sculpt realistic HD the inart looks a little cartoon a little bit and it’s definitely smaller sized. Their heads are always smaller less room to work with which I think worked too hard to his favor in this one to add more detail, I like the character I’m keeping all the figures lol. mine is on the way from Jeremy Casa big thanks to him and you for the reference. I let him know you sent me couple figures from him thanks dude God bless you and yours. Looking forward to your other videos to come.
I do agree with you, this is a really nice figure. And this is Hot Toys 6th attempt at Heath ledger OG MMS DX01 OG BANK ROBBER DX11 BANK ROBBER 2.0 BATMAN IMPOSTER/THIS JOKER. It's about time they get it right 🫣🫣🤔🤔🤯🤯🤯😂😂😂😂😂 INART got it pretty damn close for its first 1/6 scale figure 🃏💯💯💯💯😳😳😳😳👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🍻🍻🍻
I’ll have both versions soon - but I do think the jail cell Joker is the better of the two InArt Jokers either way. To me that’s where the competition really is. Jail cell InArt joker vs Hot Toys artisan
From a subjective POV, I think both are worth the money. I've seen many custom headsculpts, which are not as good, costing more than than these sets alone. So while these mass produced offerings may not have the "exclusivity" factor of a custom, imo they're a winner on the basis of looking exceptional (portrait, expression, proportions, tailoring...), while giving us so much more.
Great video but I think it's more fair to compare HT artisan with Inart prison Joker sculpt as it's a much better sculpt than the Inart purple coat Joker sculpt. Nevertheless I agree that HT Joker is more lifelike & realistic.
Well given the circumstnces it felt to me to do purple coat to purple coat also it was my friend was able to send me at the time. I would never would have asked for him to send me his jailcell veriosn.
I prefer the smirking expression on my rooted Inart prison Joker, but I don't think the sculpt is superior to the purple coated version. It's jowls are too low and wide which gives the portrait a light caricature appearance with its big face. I commend Inart for trying this though because Heath's weight looked like it fluctuated throughout the shoot, it's just that they went a fraction too far with it.
I have the artisan on order. I like the sculpt and jacket. But the tie is off again. The gloves are bulky as hell and the wrong color, again. The shoes are wrong, again. This is the 3rd ledger joker I’m buying from hot toys. There’s still problems with it. The inart paint application needs work. Same with the hair work. Luckily I paint sculpts for a living so I can do that whereas most collectors can’t. So I understand why one would go with hot toys. However. The Inart came with a beautifully tailored outfit. That’s more accurate (aside from the jacket). It came with a diecast diorama and weapons. I feel like I got my $1,100 dollars worth with this. Can’t say I’m thrilled to dish out $500 plus for a good sculpt and jacket. With the addition of some Plastic accessories and corny display base. To each their own.
Kudos for judging the two figures AFTER you've seen them in the flesh. The eyes let the Inart version down. There's so much that's wrong with them - too: close together, deep-set; the iris' are too large (they look much better when they're not centered), lack of detail in the iris' - very few veins/not bloodshot. As for the rest, the hair style and colour are not accurate. The sculpt is great, it looks a lot like Heath Ledger from the front and sides. Subjectively, I love the paint apps. Even though we never saw him look like this in the film; the makeup is too clean, tidy, thick, I think it's cool to have a look in which he has freshly applied his "warpaint". The rest: clothes, shoes, base, proportions, box, accessories, etc, is an objective- subjective argument, i.e. which is more screen accurate, more realistic, has the higher quality materials vs subjective - which look does one prefer. I give the edge to Hot Toys here, but the gap isn't as huge as many make out. And those basing their views on the Inart piece without seeing it in person (for some reason, or reasons, it NEVER looks good in pictures or on camera) are forming conclusions on flimsy evidence, just as many have done with Inart's Aragorn, which looks stunning in hand.
The magnetic feature I think was slightly better on newer InArt figures, I still dont think its a perfect system at all but a step in the right direction.
I have the InArt deluxe set. What lets the InArt rooted sculpts down is the big boofy hair at the back. You will note when you closely inspect the sculpts that the plastic at the back of the head actually curves outwards so there is no way to flatten the hair down. The head is a totally unnatural shape... it's a real shame. Otherwise is great... Hot Toys probably takes the W overall to be fair...
I really felt underwhelmed with the inart rooted when i got it. And i hated how we were forced to buy two figures The magnet on the hands was super weak too ans always falls... wish i waited for hot toys version
I still prefer the Inart. HT took the skin texture too far for me. He looks old. That particular Inart head could stand for a repaint... the batches were definitely all over the place and there are drastic differences where some scuplt got painted way more detail. I've personally seen 3 in hand that were painted perfect! I wish we knew who painted those particular heads with a QC cert or something. Shame not everyone got one like the ones I'm referring to because of inconsistency. Great comparison, and notes in this vid though!
Don’t forget JND Kojun Joker is coming as well 😅. So ,it’s not just those or custom . Hopefully the 1/6 silicone faces will look better than the 1/4 and 1/3 ones .
@@mr.momcollectibles I’m curious about the innovative technology . But their statues are definitely hit or miss, when it comes to likeness. Sometimes the silicone faces look too puffy ,like they were crying or something . Hopefully they find away this not to happen to their 1/6 . Because coming to the 1/6 articulated figures market , JND are about to learn likeness is all ( unlike with the statue market ,where presence tops likeness ).
I agree 100%! I do love the idea of the eye rolling system with a magnetic device or something to avoid opening the back of the sculpt up. Im all for innovation and I'm excited to see the final on JND. When I see the promo pics I feel its the weakest likeness among them and HT/Jazzinc.
I really enjoy your reviews. They are fair and unbiased. I'm hoping that when you do this comparison you are 100% subjective and not biased as well. The reason I say this is i also own both, I was able to get my Artisan Joker early from China. I know I'm alone in this camp but when side by side, I still feel that InArt has the slight edge as far as the actual Heath Ledger likeness. I do think that Hot Toys has better headsculpt detailing, but InArt is still my go-to. Will be keeping both though.
Hello, I was fair and transparent as I am always when it comes to this stuff. I pointed out both have inaccuracies overall and where each one performs better.
That's great to know thank you, I honestly didnt want to mess to much with the InArt one since it wasnt my personal copy I wanted to respect my friends figure.
How the heck did your subscriber count jump to 228k within less than a month with such a low viewer count on any of your videos and even lower engagement count? I hope you’re not buying subscriber count to inflate your numbers just so you can be a part of the influencer table and get free toys.
@@mr.momcollectibles so you’re saying that people are suddenly so eager to subscribe to you because of shorts, but not eager enough to watch your actual videos? And all than in less than a month? I guess we will soon find out when you start “reviewing” more Inart figures like Justin, Jedha, or Dean eh?
Nope you don’t how it all works. Subs from short s don’t always watch long format it’s not hard to figure out. I’m not giving myself a pat on the back im still doing me. I figure out the shorts algorithm that took off and actually passed that into onto at 4 other channels who have seen growth as well. Also sub count has nothing to do with reviewing figures early so many other factors. I get my InArt from Jeremy I’m not in the group with those you mentioned.
I own the inart sculpted and I jsut prefer sculpted over artisan! I ordered that hot toy instantly because I can’t wait to compare the two! And just have them side by side!
That hot toys head sculpt is to good to pass up on
I always preferred the HOT Toys expression and I'm glad the figure turned out so well.
Looks great for sure!
Wow, thank you for the extreme close up to show the differences , I really appreciate that …
Did my best to capture all the details
InArt or Artisan Joker, collectors freakin win…competition forces companies to do their best work😂😂😂😂😂
Hot toys is better 100%.
Some dude on Reddit got so mad at me yesterday for saying the truth LOL
HT is better coz it released one year after inart, and this is their forth attempt on TDK joker, be frankly, without Inart entering the industry, HT will still the same

Can’t wait for Jack sparrow to come out!
I think Jack sparrow could be best one I cannot wait for that!
Very fair comparison. Great video.
Thank you!
I had the choice of buying the Hot Toys figure or the InArt figure, i chose Hot Toys, the details of their Joker is awesome.
They're both beautiful figures but im going with the Hot Toys. Amazing video. Thank you
Thank you so much!

Hot Toys keeps giving their jokers short pants. Kind of high water. DX11 was the same

Inarts hair is to thick..
And too tidy. Hot Toys significantly improved the hair from their prototype, which looked even thicker than Inart's.
@dangiambrone7350 mines on the way ,should have it Monday.
I agree, I could have futz more with the hair but the reality there is just alot of hair on the inart I feel
Hot Toys is getting better
You can remove that ring on the inert figure. So the sculpt sits lower and there's more movability with it
