I just learned of this early version of the "Neighborhood" from Maxwell King's book, 'The Good Neighbor'! Strange that the 'Won't You Be My Neighbor' seemed to leave it out. Are any of the complete "Mister Rogers" shows from the CBS still in existence?

I can almost guarantee you that most people in the U.S. do not know that "Mr. Rogers" began in Canada. Growing up so close to the border, we did because we saw him on Canadian television in the 60s. Thank you for this video.

@@justen1776 Clearly you can't read. If you bothered to watch the video, "Mister Rogers' Neighbourhood" started here in Canada first on the CBC as 'MISTEROGERS" from 1961 to 1967....

@@justen1776 I know all that about him, and I knew prior to the documentary that was released last year.

I really want to recreate Mister Roger's, either has a youtube show or an actually show on T.V the only thing is finding someone to play Mr Roger's with true respect and honor

You'd have to find someone pure and without a history for the media to tear apart

There is a continuation program on cbs called Daniel Tigers Neighborhood that is animated but meant to carry on the same message.

How is there no videos of "MISTEROGERS" television show anywhere?
I watched "Mister Rogers' Neighbourhood" during the late '70s into the '80s.

Fred is a product of American culture, and he shared that beyond the borders of the USA, there are many good things about his country, it just gets buried in the distraction and coercion techniques of the current system. I hope we can have another like him.
