Thanks for the review; I am working on this kit, and love Chris's design.
The box as supplied happens to work well with my process, but everybody is different.

Take your box knife and remove three of the flaps. It looks like a piece of masking tape will hold that top flap down and keep everything organized.

Is this based on the Caldercraft HM Sherbourne or a totally different kit. Must admit it looks very similar, clearly there are some improvements, like the manual and the 3D parts.

I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♂️ Chris designs a lot of kits for other companies so it’s possible.

    What a bitey little wasp, 8x5 pounder’s? 8xscatter gun’s.

I only have built plastic model ships in the past. This looks like it could be assembled like a normal plastic kit. All is precut and fits?

No. Planking and shaping still needs to be done. All yards, masts and other parts need to be shaped from bare wood. That said, Vanguard are some of the best kits to learn with as Chris is a phenominal kit builder. He also designed the 2 best Victory kits. Caldercrafts and the unreleased Armati kit.
