    Tip regarding "single button press after FRC": For some FRCs and their followups it might be easier to use different buttons than what you're usually used to so you can apply a piano technique. Eg I normally RC/FRC with KSH but if I want to do Millia's 214P whiffFRC j.K, I'll input it as 214P PSH~K, so I don't have to (essentially) tap K twice. Another example would be Pot's Slidehead FRC 6H, which I find easier to perform by using 23[6]S, PKS~H
    Great job as always with the video.

    every time i've tried to get into +r, this same wall has kept me out. i love how the game plays and looks and sounds but i don't know how to consistently hit a 2-frame window in training mode, let alone during a fight.

      it takes some time but eventually you'll get it. it doesnt come the first time around. you may wanna just focus on other aspects of the character and keep it a work in progress till you master it in training mode then start trying to execute it online

    I have a quest regarding the use fulness on Jam's FRC's: I feel the her only useful FRC is her grab FRC, however, you can still get a good combo without FRCing the throw, so is it really THAT useful? Also I'm sort of undecided on her super FRC (236236 HS) it SEEMS good but is it really worth 75% meter?

    • @novriltataki
      @novriltataki  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't see Jam's FRCs being used much. She seems to spend most of the meter on 22D, 236SD or safety RCs so you can go crazy with dragon kicks, or combos from the j.2k.

  • @ClickDecision

    • @sinshenlong

      cancels in guilty gear returns your character to neutral, so you can do anything afterwards. To reduce recovery in order to create pressure, or make things safe. Cancels also reset your damage scaling so they are great in combos. You can also keep dash momentum for some cancels making it great for mobility.
      However FRCS can be done at any time, during combos, in neutral or on block. And they cost 25% meter (half less than normal RCs)
      I know this is a 6 year old comment but im hoping someone sees this now that we have rollback

    I upvoted every single Guilty Bits episode except for this one. Not to be rude or anything, but how can you even begin to teach beginners about FRC when you don't even tell them that they can turn the input on in training mode to see which moves have FRC in the first place via the blue flash? If anything, this video does not really help, and it is almost pointless to show people what something like I-No's frc dash looks like if they're just starting off (I still can't get that dash after the FRC and I've known about how to do it since it came out). Could have just taken baby steps on this one.

      If you didn't notice, the whole series assumes the players already have the very basic knowledge of the game's mechanics. Normals, specials, super jumps, instant blocking, slashbacks etc. so we can focus on the characters themselves. And if they don't have that knowledge, they can easily find it on youtube by searching "guilty gear system mechanics" or "guilty gear tutorial".
      All of those general system mechanics guides mention that you can turn on the input menu to see the FRC window, and how to do an FRC. The content of the FRC episode is focusing on the next step, instead of repeating the first one.
      So to put it simply- We are not representing information that's easily available on youtube, but provide the missing pieces that AREN'T.
