If someone is copying your video and posting it in Pakistan, will you stop it or not? Or you have published it so that anyone can upload your video???? And if so, can I also post your video on my channel?
One of the things I find that help me with digestive health is not overeating! There is a Japanese term from okinawa (a blue zone, look it up) called hara hachi bu, meaning that you should stop eating when you are 80% full. It's the idea of mindful digestion and not overeating into a sluggish state. Now that I am more mindful about how much I eat, alongside drinking more water, I feel so much better
The antibiotic advice is sound. My family and I (2 kids and hubby) haven't taken an antibiotic in over 20 years. Last summer I got a cactus spike stuck deep in my skin and the doctor was like "you need an antibiotic!" I was like wuh? It's not infected, it just needs to come out! About 3 years ago I had a cyst removed on my back and the dermatologist gave me a prescription for a powerful antibiotic I needed to take for 4 whole weeks. I was like no thanks. It healed fine without the drug. Then a few months ago my daughter had some sort of "thing" that looked infected on her leg. They wanted her to take antibiotics, and I said NO. Then the pathology came back and it was a virus, NOT a bacterial infection. Antibiotics would have done nothing anyway. I only reserve taking an antibiotic if I'm either on my death bed or I have tried literally everything else, and nothing worked. Hasn't happened in 20 years, so that's cool. It should be a LAST RESORT, never the first thing you take.
Last year I had really bad flu. (I am 31, thin, healthy, doing sports regularly.) It was even difficult for me to move inside my small apartment from muscle pain and fever that’s why I couldn’t go to the doctor either. I felt terrible. I didn’t take any antibiotics, only ibuprofen against the fever but not too much. I barely ate sth I drank lot of tea with honey. I healed in a bit over one week without antibiotics. Lot of sleep and rest helps and of course real honey.
Personally I really want to heal my body and have a holistic lifestyle but I don't even know where to start. Can you do a beginners list of some easy ways to live a safer and more natural lifestyle? I am a new subbie🤗
Welcome love! 💗 That’s so awesome that you are wanting to live a more holistic lifestyle. I know it can seem overwhelming in the beginning with all the changes you can make (and all the conflicting info out there)! You don’t need to make drastic changes overnight. You can slowly switch your products out when you need to buy more. Example: switching toxic cleaning products for more holistic options (I have a video on holistic cleaning). Or choosing clean beauty options for skincare/haircare. Start by finding alternatives to the things you use everyday. That is a great idea for a video. 🙏🏼☺️
This list is reallyyy good. Inadequate sleep and artificial sweeteners kill my gut in real time. Congratulations Sarah, hope you're abundantly happy, all the very best ❤
I like to add a small amount of foods with probiotics throughout the day, like sauerkraut with my eggs and sourdough bread, kefir for a snack, kombucha, etc. I also try to drink bone broth daily because it's great for your gut. I steer clear of most cruciferous veggies because they cause bloating and gas, which makes me believe my body suffers when digesting them.
Your videos never fail to inspire me to keep improving my health and habits! You are such a great role model not just for me, but for my little ones who like to watch along with me. ❤
I love these little chat videos. I’d love a video on food to eat for gut health and some recipes! I’ve looked into some anti inflammatory diets too. I’d love it if you could do a video about that❤
This sounds a lot like the advice in sally Fallon’s “nourishing traditions”! I love this! And I can speak from personal experience! My mom raised us on a nourishing traditions based diet (with a few tweaks here and there) and we were super healthy kids. When I got married and moved out at 19, my husband was in school and working full time, I was working 3 jobs, perfect storm for stress, and a diet almost completely void of nutrients. And being teenagers, we were drinking with friends all the time. It was terrible! I had a major mental breakdown with my OCD, and stress. And I developed intolerances for so many foods that I never had issues with! Fast forward to the age of 22, I started working with a fitness coach, and finally took my mom’s advice of going back to following nourishing traditions, and I feel amazing!! And I no longer have food intolerances, and I now feel like I’m the one in control of my OCD, not the other way around! Thank you so much for this video! It’s amazing information!!!
Thank you Sarah for your very good informations to stay fit and healthy in life! Your new ring looks so good on you 😊❤ The podcast is a great highlight for me. You did save my day
I avoid those things as well. I prioritize sleep, stay hydrated, and boost my immune system with fermented drinks and foods. I only eat until I am satiated. Being full hurts my bust reminiscent of growing pains and they are already proportionally too large so I don't enjoy that feeling. I feel best if I limit grains, eat a little meat, and lots of vegetables.
I have always loved your advice, I remember your videos of what you eat in a day , you mentioned that you had to drink a protein shake to get your protein of the day, what do you do when there is no time to prepared your meals? And will you be making any videos of your delicious salads you used to make?
i'm lactose intolerant myself n trying to find foods or drinks based on what I can have n bless you for these vid's n helping those ppl suffering from any thing like this.
I love your videos! I’ve been watching for yearsss and I haven’t watched in a while. So great to come back and see how great you are doing and your wonderful advice, as always. Thanks for the tips! Congrats on your engagement! ❤
Self care is extraordinarily challenging, as I've been taking care of my mom full time for a bit over a year. I reposition her from one side to the other every three hours or so, as well as prepare and serve the meals, making her comfortable afterwards, etc., 24/7, with the exception of the twelve hours of help I get per week, all during the day (I had only one person do an overnight shift in June). I try to nap when I can, sip water, take my supplements, eat relatively decently, do mild exercises, pray--a lot--and have a good skincare routine. My fiance' (we've been engaged a year, as well) comes up every three weeks or so, which boosts my overall well-being and morale. Since being diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in 2009, there are certain foods I do tend to avoid naturally, and I haven't had to take any antithyroid medication so far. Thank you for your channel, and congratulations to you both.
I take Alicia's Naturals probiotics and have noticed a huge improvement in my gut health. Seed probiotics who sponsored your video are not bad as well but quite expensive!!
Hey girl! Follower of many years! I know you are cautious to do this but I need inspiration for recipes that’s are everything you say in this video, more so one that is warming but quick and easy as when I’m rushed, processed food is what I end up with xx
One thing I notice is that in the mornings if I eat something too fibrous, I get bloated and feel awful all day. Do you have any recommendations for how to jump-start my digestion by eating or drinking certain things before I consume a fiber-rich breakfast? I'm really trying to focus on my gut health now, since I've pretty much ignored my digestive issues since childhood 😭.
What do you use on your hair? How come your hair is so thick!? I used to have thick hair but all my hair has been thinning for a while now! I'm still having a lot of trouble with it, please tell me what you use?
Carefull with the kombucha you can buy in normal groceryshops. When it is not in the fridge then you know it is processed. The benefits of this drink should be the bacteria in it, and they need to stay cool. So when you see it in the shelves then they are full of sugars.
Great video! i needed to watch this Sorry if this is TMI but Ive had chronic constipation since I was an infant. I’ve been using milk of magnesia since it’s cheap, but I’ve heard it’s bad to use long term. Trying to find alternatives
How do you feel about coffee? I feel like it helps me with digestion but more than one cup and I get stomach inflammation and even tietze syndrome. I love coffee soo much and I don't know what else to drink. Chai Tee seems to have a similar effect on me and I don't like green tea. I force it down for health but I don't know what I can drink in the morning as an alternative.
Hi HolisticHabits. I watched one of your videos on hair care and noticed you cutting split ends after your brushing sessions. Do the scissors you use cut your hair matter? I've seen scissors advertised for cutting hair, but those cost more than $100. What scissors would you recommend for cutting hair/ cutting split ends? Thank you!
Great video! ❤ I am bottling granola I made today because I don’t want to buy cereal for my husband’s quick breakfast on work days and love snacking on it on road trips.
Hi you're hair is so pretty! I just watch you're oily hair video, i never oily scalp because really afraid e oil will block the scalp then will cause the large amount hair loss. So can you told me that will it make Jake loss and how to prevent hair loss if after oily scalp?? Thank you!
Hello, i know that it does't have much to do with the video but i wanted to share. I am 15 years old and I had very long and thick eyelashes and for the first time about a month ago I put on makeup and used Maybelline New York Falsies Surreal Mascara and 3/4 of my eyelashes fell out after application. I cried and even my mother too. And now I have makeup stress and I don't know what to buy because I'm looking for something non-toxic. Could you recommend some product?😭 (I don't know if Maybelline is a toxic brand but when I searched the internet it turned out that some women also have the same problem with Maybelline New York).
Wonderful tips! Weird, but I actually get anxiety after taking pro + pre-biotics. I have no idea why but it never works for me. Lately kombucha does this too. Maybe seed is less strong?
My indigestion gets so bad sometimes, but it doesn't help I have trouble chewing food because I have cavities and can't afford dental 😭 (I live in the u.s 😓)
Important subject Sarah, thank you so much for raising awareness on this. I take an apple cider vinegar shot after lunch and dinner. PS can we please see a close up of the rock on your finger! Congratulations 🎉❤
