Inspiring tutorial with lovely clear instructions. Since watching this video, I have made several pairs of these earrings and would recommend having a go yourself if you haven't made these before.😊
Great tutorial! Loved seeing the care taken to make them well measured. I have a tip for making the ear "pins"; instead of using a saw and/or file to make the groove in the .8 sterling wire for the butterfly to grip, if you use a very fine tipped pair of round tip pliers and squeeze/burnish that area, it will keep the pin stronger than if you remove metal by cutting/filing. Compressing the metal makes it stronger (work hardened), gives the groove, and doesn't weaken by removing metal.
I really admire your talent. This procedure for making hoop errings, is too much for me! The errings are beautiful, you took a lot of time, and methods to make them. GREAT JOB!
Thank you so much lovely! We have a lot of tutorials on our youtube and courses on our website. There is lotsa more beginners content if you want to try something else xx
THANK YOU!! Brand new to you & JA. Such a treat to see the ENTIRE earring made from scratch. I think once I track down some more materials & practice (NOT w/Ster.Silvr) I can actually manage to do this. 😊

I loved this tutorial. I usually make my twist wire with my mikata drill/driver. I will definitely try this way instead. Magnificent tutorial 👌. Peace and Blessings 🙏.
Wonderful tutorial thank you so much you made my day. My post went on beautifully after I have tried a different way several times your way is my way now
Awesome video. I was thinking a customized rubber wheel on your flex shaft, ( either an altered smoothed out knife, edge, or sharpened flat edge rubber wheel) would get into that recessed curve area of the twist that you tried to remove the solder with a round file. But you kind of had to scrape it. Then the sanding after got rid of the twist but not the solder. It just sort of flattened out the area. And the solder was still there I believe. It was quite a lot of solder. But I’d do the same thing probably wanting to be sure it was strong. I think you would’ve kept the inner curve of the twist had you used a polishing customized rubber polishing wheel that could’ve gone into the recess of the twist. Also I worry about sawing into the post for the groove. I believe there are other ways so as to not removing metal. Just squeeze the groove. Spin it in round pliers. Hard project. Great job.
I don’t have all the tools 😔 I only make earrings with already shaped pendants with posts or hooks ,but it’s lovely to see them being made from scratch 😉👍

Hoops are probably not the best style for a clip on clasp unfortunately. But your interest in clip on earrings is noted for future courses/tutorials! x
You'd think there would be pliers to indent the earring post, there's pliers for everything else, lol.,I used to use my flush cutters, using light pressure and go around!

Hiya, why show the work on both earrings/posts, every time. You've shown filling, why do you think we need to see twice? Or is it to lengthen the video? Also when you pickel, you should clean the pickel off, then dry it before putting the silver on steel. From the rust on your file and 4" block, you really need to do this. In time you will pit the steel and that will mark the precious metal. Rust will blunt the file in no time. Stay safe, Steve...
Thank you for sharing this tutorial with us. Looking for more in the future.☺️
You are so welcome! Glad you enjoyed it! x
Barbara' s voice is sooo relaxing 🥰 Made me stress down and really concentrate on the making of the hoops

Btw they sell thst soldering clay that can be used to prop up thst post so its easier to try to solder the post in the center on the earring.

СПАСИБО, СПАСИБО, СПАСИБО ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You are so welcome lovely x
does anybody else find it really satisfying to soo the solder melt?
BEAUTIFUL JEWELRY THANK YOU
You are so welcome!
Mil gracias 🙏
You're very welcome! x
Since you cut away the part that was soldered. Why solder the piece closed?
This is to help shape the earring into a perfect circle x
What gauge I the 008 mm wire?
This is 20 Gauge
May I ask what type of metal this is and will it tarnish?
You can use various metals for this project! In this video, Barbara is using silver 🥰
Proof that solder DOES fill gaps. ;)
You'd think there would be pliers to indent the earring post, there's pliers for everything else, lol.,I used to use my flush cutters, using light pressure and go around!
😆
she did not say Wire Hardness is it half soft or hard wire or dead soft
Before twisting the wire it is advised to make sure it is fully annealed ie. soft so that you can manipulate it. Hope that helps! x
Im loving the hoop earrings i stop wearring diamonds
Hope you enjoyed making these hoops! x

foi mal feito esta peça, nem brilho tem fora marcas de risco.
Video not so clear and what about the equipment that you are using, like what exactly is it? You should name each tool you are using before starting.
Hey Lisa, the tools are named at the bottom of the screen ☺️. If you have any specific questions I am happy to help
