That's a very impressive surge for a minimal tropical storm!
And the only ones caught off guard are the out of town ppl that didn't listen to warnings
Yeah, the scientists responsible for the weather models seem to know what they’re talking about.
Maybe we should listen to them about climate change
That was only a tropical storm.. imagine a cat3+
I read that because the storm was so large and unconsolidated, I dropped a lot of water over a long period of time
Extreme rain events are expected to increase in frequency
And that was a glancing blow... hold on to your hats November 30th is a long way away
If you ask me mother nature is just giving ppl enough time to get the hint this season. 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊
It will take Joe Biden longer to get the hint.
Dan, and Trump and his NutzeeMagas will never get the hint!

@@danielbrown3461 What kinda problem is coal? Don't say something with "GHG" LOL
Are you kidding me? this happens in Texas every other year.
Yup. Us native Texans know this is pretty common.
They have to keep the climate apocalypse scam going
No it doesn't, this much water is not common
@@Xx-po1fuyes it is 🌽⚾️
Nope. I was raised in coastal Texas. I could name the storms with this much flooding. They used to hit every decade or more.
i usually put jack stands under my vehicals that gives you another 12 to 15 inches above the ground
Nice tip! I live near Galveston Bay but I'm lucky and don't flood so I don't have to worry about it. But it's something to keep in mind for down the road just in case
I used cinder blocks, called it redneck flood insurance !!!
Hey that's a damn good idea!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Yes ,let's talk to young people on this subject. Try the people that have lived there for 90 years. And if notice, most places are on stilts.
I take it you ignore climate data
@@SigFigNewton I take it that you wear kneepads while on your knees for the democrat party.
Most people would have not been on that barrier island.
Sea water and cars are not a good mix, but they will increase used automobile sales.
judging from the build of the houses this happens often
I am praying for you TEXAS ~Godspeed your recovery ♥️
Prayers for Texico 🙏
Mother nature's handing out eviction notices😂
Well he said it he's from Missouri if they lived there all there life guess what that's normal
When Alberta was first beginning to raise water height along the Texas coast I was watching a news broadcast with a reporter standing in maybe 6 inches of water, I don't remember his location or the channel he was reporting for. I read the comments and a lot of people were making fun of the report saying things like "this isn't flooding, this is just rain," some accusing the reporter of exaggerating and even lying to make "drama" and similar comments. While the reporter was on camera every now and then a vehicle would drive by and it was pretty easy to see that the water was getting deeper by the minute. Now, a day or two later, I wonder what those "skeptics" who were making smarmy comments about that news broadcaster "exaggerating the level of water rise" are dealing with flooding.
People who do not register risk are privileged that they have not yet have become acquainted with it. The concept of "life or death survival" seems to have lost all meaning for most online folks these days. FAFO as they say 🫠
Life on the water is sooooooooooo cool ....
It’s Texas , nothing should surprise anyone. That’s practically normal
If it were normal infrastructure would not be there
U weren’t aware that these are massively costly events to taxpayers?
People seem not to be that stressed... Nice community.
This storm never got below 1000 millibars. Folks this kind of flooding for a minor storm is unusual. I grew up on the Gulf Coast and rode out close to a dozen hurricanes, been in the eye of one and saw the blue sky. Something odd about this one and the media is clueless.
We need rain in my place we're so dry over here to much or dry be safe everyone gosh because of climate change
And drought can CAUSE flooding. Like.. once land is uberdry, super packed dry dirt, it becomes terrible at absorbing water. And so when rain DOES come…
Increased extreme weather is no joke
If buying near coast, buy multiple meters above sea level
And just how long have your lived?
Duh. The houses are built on stilts, flooding is common during storms. Nobody should be surprised! (except maybe the reporter)
I take it you’re careful to avoid statistics about climate
Non capisco perché meravigliarsi: è la ovvia conseguenza di certi comportamenti.
Just imagine what cat 4 or 5 would be
And that was just a little tropical storm. Not a major hurricane.
Thank you for keeping people informed and keep doing good work ❤
The dude that said that is from Missouri so no wonder he's never seen anything like it. You news networks are the worse lol.
As a person from Missouri, I can confirm that we are all physically incapable of travel.
Got any decent takes?
@@SigFigNewton Yea, I live in Florida. We see flooding from Tropical Storms yearly. The point isn't that the dude was from Missouri, the point is that the news station used an out of towner's quote as the head line to give the impression that something out of the normal was happening.
Locals built for this and are not phased by it.
Feel free to tell yourself that
Out of curiosity, how much higher are Florida home insurance rates compared with two years ago?
If you have grown up around the texas coast and experienced hurricanes in the 60tys on, that was nothing.
Looks like they’ve been through this before.
❤❤❤❤
Crazy this was a small storm and it was still far away from us
The guy in the interview isn’t from there and they use that as a headline? I won’t be saying, don’t worry about it because it gets hot in the summer… or it floods by the coast. Obviously sea level rise even millimeters a year is having an effect because similar type storms only 25 years ago did not seem to flood as high or in areas that were previously untouched. It’s slow but steady and it’s not stopping not our lifetime or our grandchildren.
What are you talking about? All the houses are on stilts almost like it has done this before! Stop lying to us about everything!!!
I advise you not to look at sea ice or glacier melt data
Given your goal of protecting ignorance
Tell us your not from Texas without telling us!!!!!
If you think this is bad you should've seen what hurricane Carla did😮

No reason to scare others. San Louis Pass is a small area. Tomorrow everything gwt back to normal
So…. What DO the trolls get out of posts claiming that this is normal weather?
They’re trying desperately to pretend to themselves that they haven’t been aggressively wrong for years on climate change
Being right in the past is a bigger goal than being right in the future
For conservatives who hold onto denial

Beautiful scene. Water is good.
"Locals are stunned by the flooding". Interviews tourists.....
2024 and most people still don't know the weather is being modified and controlled
Lol never seen anythink like it. Oh no 8". Thank goodness people built their homes on stilts for fun. It has really helped during climate change lmfao!
Apparently some people already forgot about Hurricane Harvey back in 2017.
Either every storm is bigger than all prior storms or climate change is untrue.
The world is mostly water. There is more water than land. So can you guess where the whole world will end up? Uhmmm, not to hard to guess. :(
Salt water, Tesla weather.
Quick panic !
The 14 foot stilts got 2 foot of water on them. 😐
Oh? There was zero dollars in damages that taxpayers have to repay?
Thanks for informing me
Where do I find this info?
*Grandma has stroke.
You: so what?! She’s clearly still alive. The people with doctorates are lying about this being an indicator that her circulatory system is damaged.

Weather chaos is upon us.
The entire world is having a lot of natural disasters.. Our planet cannot take anymore ruination..
Relax. Trump will be in Texas on Wednesday to toss out paper towels and brag about his crowd size. And Melania might be with him wearing her "I Really Don’t Care, Do You?" coat.
You do understand that is a fairly common phrase now.
Climate change is just beginning……
Hang on tight.
The water, land and temps are changing. The shift is happening.
Slowly, slowly, slowly.
May still be decades before the number of climate refugees is in the tens of millions
Lol…never seen anything like this before…what a clueless thing to say with no bearing on data…”extreme” sounds like histrionics…from people with little knowledge of atmospheric phenomena 🤦🏻♂️
I encourage you to purchase property at sea level
What is to come. Be aware and listen to the spirit of God because the news is on the side the devil and will not warn you
Insane heat... stifling humidity... hurricanes... three 500 year floods in four years... not to mention the enlightened political climate. After forty years of that nonsense, I finally escaped to Colorado four years ago. Haven't missed it a bit.
Frequency. Intensity. Also this was only the very outskirts of the storm. Wait until an actual storm comes. When the "100 year event" happens "every year" it's time to stop saying that crap. Also for all you clowns who want to say "it happens every year..." does it? To this level even when NOT in the direct patch of a storm? Are you ready for it to happen more than once a year? This area was hit with the EDGE of the storm - merely a flick of the nutsack.... wait until a real one comes for the full on punch to the nads. Buckle up.
Keep drinking the democrat koolaid. 😂😂😂😂
do you live there, rob?
Dumb news reporter… he’s from Missouri so no he’s never seen anything like this before…
