Love is a Lie ? There is no thing called as unconditional love. All love is self love. We love conditionally. If someone loves you it's because you meet their personal criteria and benefit them in some way. All life, is simply trying to make itself feel good. That is what love is: a manifestation of selfish desire.
Many people think they do it unconditionally but they please others because it pleases them to see other happy. You gain a sense of gratification through acts of altruism. To love something there needs to be a motivation and even if it doesn't appear self serving at the surface level, internally there's a psychological reward of some sort.
I actually totally agree on you with this, I think it's as you said, even the most "unconditional" aspect of it can be broken down to a sense of self gratification. We're pretty cynical people eh?
