Go with which ever one you will feel that you will enjoy much more. It'll be something you're going to do for a very long time. Either way both the majors are theoretical, unless you decide to do CET or MET which are practical. I think you will win in either choice if you are looking for one that is theoretical.
I am a web developer by profession, but I do find other technical fields interesting. I don't think I could ever be a civil engineer though. I don't think I could handle the responsibility, it all looks so daunting.
I can't decide whether to major in civil or mechanical engineering. I heard the careers were better in civil, but to be honest I don't think I'll like it. I think I'll prefer mechanical because it seems more theory based.
ITouchedTheKore nor fields are theory based friend, regardless of the field you choose make sure you do an internship as books will not give you real life field/site experience

what did you end up choosing? i want civil but im scared i wont find a job so i think i should go for mechanical but still i really want civil
