OMG! OMG! Not only is Ms. Kawashima beautiful, she has a heavenly voice too. I watched Starblazers 30+ years ago and I still cry to this day every time I hear this magical stupendous piece. Gives me goose bumps/chills every time. Thank you Ms. Kawashima.

@Lumotaku Not according to reviews, and a pretty large majority of fans. Although if you wanted to see blue humanoids run around you could watch the smurfs or avatar.
@Lumotaku I watched the Andorians on Enterprise, and still don't care for their design it's boring nothing innovative about them. I have watched the original BSG reruns and wished they had the budget to of actually finished it back then, I enjoyed that show. I don't care for the new one, I only watched when they had space battles. My bad earlier with the whole Disney thing, it was a 'renewed' interest in Yamato. I know they owned the rights in the early 90s.

Right so rule out the positive reviews, the fact that it immediately went to #1 in Japan, and the overwhelming response that made Disney think about making it. Besides if I wanted lame character design I would watch the Andorians on Star Trek. Painting someone blue and giving them antennas does not make it interesting. At least the Japanese took an active interest in updating outdated tropes, and except for mainly just you. I have yet to find any real credibility that fans want to watch it burn.

昭和49年が「ヤマト」テレビ放映開始の年ですね。ジョージルーカスのＳＷの数年も前に既に スペースオペラとしての構想が日本で生まれていたんだと 改めて気づかされました

これを見てた時、猿の惑星と競合してたな。で、姉はヤマトって言うんだが、俺は猿って主張してた。なぜなら、川島さんのスキャットが恐ろしかった。この音楽が大量死、絶望ととともに流れてくるんだよ。焼き殺されるスキャットだよ。当時幼くて見てた人間には分かるはず。
