- There, I said it. Camping and distance are key to survival in DMZ Solo. This might be a very unpopular opinion, but I stand by it. I know there's a lot of people out there who just want to run around and blast everyone they see with a shotty or wipe them with an AR. But that aint my style. My style is different. Camping and distance is what I, as a solo player, use to my advantage. I sometimes do push an enemy, when I am certain I can get the kill. But you'll rarely see me push a full squad, because by doing so I give the squad I'm pushing a huge advantage..

Got friends that hate my shoot and move long distance style.But thats how i stay alive.Gain distance and wear them down with long distance shots.300 to 700 meters preferred.Those guys push and get killed.I play by Carlos hathcocks rules of sniping couple shots and reposition because you've given away your position mcpr 300 max bullet velocity and damage range.raptor scope

I like your videos. I learn so much about snipping and counter-snipping in this game.
I think that if sniping in DMZ were more like arma2, where you have to calculate wind, drop bullets, distance, etc and you have to really learn how to use a specific weapon, maybe there were not so many campers at the exfil zone. I would like to see DMZ movements, in general, be a bit more tactical.

I used to not like camping at all but as a mostly solo player I'm coming around to it as I get murdered nearly every time I'm in the DMZ I don't agree with 3 or 6 man team campers it makes it virtually impossible to get out at exfill but I can see the benefits if you're a solo, you still need to fight a team

Camping fine, some of my best fights have been through stumbling into a camper, win or lose. Don't like exfil camping though or roaming bands of 6 man pre-mades, both are super scummy. Then again the recent player focus on pvp is more a failure of developers to give players a reason to do anything else.
People throw you the morality card cause you camp and snipe but no one ever talks about 3, 4, 5, or up to 6 man squads hunting others and certainly dont care one bit if they're hunting a solo player. In fact, they enjoy hunting solos.
As a solo, Im gonna start camping and sniping more and screw those bully rushers

I always play Solo as well and I hate when someone is waiting for you as you try to run into to the Heli, specially when a team of 3+ vs 1.
This is valid game play. Makes the game more interesting. Sometimes and win and sometimes you lose but learn from your mistakes. That is what makes DMZ so fun is that you can play it any way you want.
Snipers jobs are not exciting, however they are entertaining

Since they nerfed movement, animation, realod cancel, plating, vehicles etc. You don`t have much chance against 2-3 man squads in CQB as an average jo. So this play style is an absolute valid tactic. In Wz1 i as was against camping, because it was boring. But back than, i had a chance against multiple enemies with that movement the game had. I could outplay them, considering i am an average joe with average 1.5 -1.75 kd.

I think that ALOT of folks that play shooter games rather RUN N GUN oppose to being strategic and methodical about their every move in the game. So when the folks that run n gun die to someone that is strategic and methodical abo8t their every move. The players that die automatically get pissed off and start disrespecting the dude they died by..instead of trying to improve and learn from their mistakes.. that's my opinion.. js.

@@flipmemax Half of the first season everyone was learning the game. Yeah, we know the game now. Put your big boy pants on or find another game. It's hard enough against AI and then the PVP shows up.
😆 haha. I'm happy I successfully evaded the team that rolled up to the gas station with two JLTV's. Could've been a 6man squad.. I tend to try and avoid 6man squads as those are often the most thirsty squads out there

A lot of people complain about people sniping but honestly I don’t mind it, it adds another element to the game! When I play with friends it’s just a rush to be running around and get sniped at, you scramble to find them, try and snipe back, try to push and flank. It’s just good fun! Love the videos brotha
Right?! If a team is even remotely organized and starts firing back and pushing, a solo sniper can be in a lot of trouble 😆 especially when they're in radio towers, they offer zero cover. It's actually very easy to counter snipers in towers when you're close enough.

Which scope you mean? The one on the M4 I brought in with me? I'm not too sure. Im not a fan of that optic tho.. haha. Its a contraband M4 that you can buy at buystations, AI sometimes drop them aswell

As a solo dmz operator I have no shame and I camp, sneak, slip and slide to make my mission a succes.
I do feel bad evey now and thenI get the drop on other solo operator and erase him/her.
At least you don´t camp the exfil for 20 minutes. I saw that a lot in the last time. I always wonder why people play it that boring way. I would not have fun at all. But moving around and taking your chance is 100% legit gameplay (Even thought I hate it if this happens to me 😀).
I do sometimes exfil camp tho.. but its mostly near the end of the game, not gonna sit around at an exfil whole match long.. that's way too boring lol

Strategic Non-Movement
I don’t want to judge this strategy but am interested to know, are you playing for the missions or merely PvP?
Well the missions are pretty much pointless tbh.. so yeah, mainly PvP.. but I hope the leaks about season 3 are true, cause I want DMZ to become a true extraction shooter. More like Tarkov, but a bit more casual than Tarkov. If all leaks about season 3 are true, I will 100% be doing a lot more missions during season 3 😊
I've had all three insured slots for a while now, mission rewards are actual garbage this season. I have no reason to do missions so I help others with their missions or go pvp. It's unfortunate but this is also why we see so much pvp now lol.
Yeah, the devs have led us to where we're at. Can't blame anyone else imo. Hopefully they'll get it sorted with Season 3.
You are in a tower sniping for most of the playthrough. how is that camping. people camp on buy stations, towers, etc. If you are playing DMZ part of the game is to always know where a sniper might be located. Crying about camping on exfils is not going to keep people from doing it. Learn where the camp sites are and hunt the snipers if you don't like it. Great content as always Flip!!
