Hey Buddy.......I'm up here in Bay Minette. Just curious where you're fishing. The specks never made it above i-10 this year. Enjoy your videos.
The fact that you can take your boat miles down the creek to miles offshore is so cool! Great video as always!
It really is!
best fisherman on youtube and a great guy!
Appreciate that !
Arguably true
I'm sure I'm not the only one who watches your video's that appreciate you not using the TH-cam drag just so it sounds cool. I really like your video's, all natural.
As my dad always told me, "A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work"
Love your content man, keep it up.
I agree! Thank you!
Just sat down after work and watched your video. You called it, when you mentioned this video is something you’d like to watch at the end of the day. I couldn’t agree more. Thanks for all you do.
Love the support !! Thank you, it's always nice to decompress at the end of a long work day !
Man, I could go for some fresh fried Mullet for lunch today! Grew up eating those guys, Gotta be fresh though. Enjoying the range and variety in your content, it definitely keeps it interesting. Appreciate your hard work!
What I like about ur channel. U keep it simple. Not some crazy stuff like the 3 stooges and them open a tackle store. They are all about the TH-cam money.
always a great day when Bama uploads
Love it, thanks for the support !
Cast netting is one of my favorite things. The variety of things you catch never ceases to amaze me
Love that you're still cranking stuff out even in the cooler weather. Lotta guys aren't keeping up!
Best fishin channel
Where you said the duck hunters have been that is a spot me and my dad and grandpa have been fishing for years. One the best creeks around for sure catch it on a cold windy morning you can hammer the trout. 🤙
most underrated channel EVER
Another great video. Nothing better than fresh fried mullet!!
Appreciate your content Bama!
Hoping you get to 100 k soon, you’ve earned it
You should do a smoked mullet catch, clean, and cook 👍
For sure!! in the works
I love your videos
Great thanks for showing
Good stuff dude! Haven’t forgotten about you! Great things are on the way!
You are a clever angler. Respect
Thanks Steven for all the cool videos this year and cant wait to see what U share with us in 2023 ...
I know you love St Croix, I happened to move to Northern Wisconsin in 2015 and the St Croix factory is in Park Falls wi which was 10 miles from my house, every year they have customer appreciation days and if you can ever go up there during it they have incredible sales on everything fishing seminars give aways. Well worth the time.the factory store is something too I have several friends who work for them.
Always good to see a new video bama. 👍👍
Hope you had a great Christmas sir. Thanks for letting us share in your experiences. I love the fishing I have around here, but I'm still a bit envious of your environment and opportunities. Take care and God bless ya.
Love your vids
Awesome video! You actually got me into saltwater fishing, keep up the amazing work!
Awesome ! It's always a fun time for sure
Love you bama
It's always fun watching your videos.. May you and your luvly mom have a merry Xmas and a blessed new year.
super cool adventure
Watching your channel always wants to make me go fishing! Happy New Year!
This would be such an awesome place to kayak fish!!
Great video man. Sometimes simple creek fishing is the best
I love it, so relaxing !
A skill I wish I still had, cast netting. It took me awhile to get it right too. Nice healthy looking fish where you were.
Best ever
Glad to catch this upload before I go in to work tonight!
Great video man really enjoy it
Once again, a fresh-content interesting vid! Thanx! Reminds me of fishing Osan and Suwon!
Never saw a trout fly like that. Lol. Great video thanks
More great content, like always
That was awesome
Great vid!
Good vid, showing where they can be found this time of year. Trolling motor on the KW1720 was stirring up some mud yesterday, along with the 30+ specs and bass that liked my soft plastic.
Great way to spend the day. This day... tomorrow... any day!
Great stuff is always brother!
Dang good video my friend, keep them coming ✅💥
Awesome vid and I definitely enjoy your channel
Perfect puppy drum is 18-22in filet
For sure !!
Awesome man love your videos and you have an awesome demeanor
I grew up in Mobile in the ‘60s and ‘70s and you could but mullet for .10 a pound. Anytime we wanted to have a fish fry it was fried mullet, hush puppies and cole slaw. I love it.
I’m at work right now ,but I have my AirPod in and I am currently watching your new and highly anticipated video!!
Thanks for the video
I'll have to get back to the salt sometime in the near future,
and eat a few of those mullet
instead of making a pile of cut
baits out of all of them
hey steven i really appreciate your videos you are such a nice calm guy and a really good fisherman i hope that you never get bored of what you doing and make a lot more of this nice adventure videos greetings from a German viewer^^
I was beginning to think the cold snap scared away all the specks 😂 love these relaxing videos!
The specks love this cold, they get very predictable !
Happy new year
Very nice Happy New year's
**Thats Awesome Bro**
Keep killing it with the sweet content!
-D
Thanks man!
If I'm not mistaken I have watched beach bum fish up that same creek. I have never been to the alabama coast but I already can figure out your fishing spots lol. Great video!
well this enough for me to get out an fish lol thanks capt!!
It's so cool when I recognize where you're fishing.
Looks like Pirates cove.
@@jamesrogers7174 I think it's Miflin creek because at one point you can see the gravel boat launch.
I like to boil puppy drum fillets with Old Bay spices. Taste like lump blue crab meat. Delicious. Easy.
It's delicious that way for sure !
Love ur vids man keep it up
Thanks!
Great video. I was hoping you would cook up that mullet for us.
Nice
Speckled Trout and Largemouth in the same trip. I love South Alabama.
Gotta love the diversity. So cool for sure !
A favorite breakfast growing up was fried Mullet with grits and eggs 😋, we would cast net for shrimp and Mullet at sunrise bring them home and momma would fix us a big breakfast the shrimp would be saved for supper.
Gotta love it, Mullet are the ole reliable !
Hello :)
Definitely a relaxing video 👍👍 Bummer for the broken rod.
I've also tested that st croix warranty once.
I bought a st croix rod once. It broke first trip out. Trashed it, and will never buy another.
Thanks! And they've upheld their warranty every time I've needed it , accident or not (not sponsored or affiliated to St. Croix).
To those of you who dont eat Mullet.....thank you. Leaves more for those of us that do.
Mullet, when caught in clean water, has a sweet tasting meat. Your water has to be sandy bottom, not mud and muck.
Good,👍
Mullet are often referred to as Biloxi Bacon.
You were wearing a long sleeve so it seems the cold front affected Alabama too. The weather here will be 70 degrees on Monday and I am going fishing. Fingers crossed I do well. Hopefully I can get the wife to tag along.
Bummer about the tip; was fishing large mouth in a river and caught a probably 15 lb carp. Snapped my light rod in half before I even knew what was happening. Luckily the tackle shop was a bike ride away, and got myself a new Lamiglas, (a little heavier). Still have it and got redemption with a similar carp. Life is good!
Thank you bamma saltwater for your videos and for not cursing and showing your Christian view
Awesome video as usual. How are you liking the new boat?
There was a guy catching a lot!!! of fish (mullet and sheepshead) from the new pier at fort morgan the other day.
Awesome, I love that place !
I plan to be down that way in February to fish the seawall near the bridge. Can you pls recommend some setups? I tried gotcha plugs last time but had no luck.
With the price of food now I would be eating fish all the time. You're lucky to live where you do . Nothing like that in Missouri!
.
Looks like bon secour
Man my heart skipped a beat when you said you broke a st. Croix sure glad they got warranties
Yes, I couldn't believe it but it happens. They're great to deal with in the warranty department (not sponsored, not affiliated with St. Croix)
@@BamaSaltwater ah scrolling at 12 too I see 😂
How you throw you cast net? Looks so simple
What water system are you fishing there?
Do you ever use those larger mullet for bait? If so, what is your target fish when you use them?
Oh yeah! Shark, Redfish, Stingray, Tarpon, Cobia, Jack Crevalle, and any other big fish love Big mullet !
Yea down here Magnolia Springs and Bon Secour was told no fish with a creel limit can be kept when caught in a cast net. but nice hull brotha.
I almost bought a saltist mq but I didn’t like having to send it in whenever it needed a service or if it got grindy
“24 foot bay boat and it’s pretty narrow here” Then he turns around to look… first time I genuinely laughed during on of these videos lol
Do you have any tips for using shrimp lures to catch reds, how should I work it?
Here's a great video showing how I like to use my Vudu Shrimp lures: th-cam.com/video/dDqZgpHulhI/w-d-xo.html
Hey Bama. I love all of your videos. What size and brand net do you recommend?
I like the Bett's 5' to 8' nets
This is very fisherman,, fishing,, it's what we do, catching fish, what ever is available for the condition
thos are nice mullet
Yes they were !
The no-see-ums literally murder me. I get welts for a month. Pretty sure I’m allergic. But I caught a snook so it was almost worth it
what is the river/creek called?
nice!😨
I don't recognize this Creek you're on though I live in the area on Sandy Creek do you ever come fish this way?
Great vid, those are some pretty nice mullet, what do they taste like kind of
Similar to Blue Catfish imho. It all depends what the bottom content is. Sandy/clean water is the best. Muddy bottom/muddy water, meat is good but not great. I love fresh mullet, I'd take a fried mullet backbone over a red snapper honestly !
Oh wow, I'll have to try that soon!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think your case net is 8’ radius, 16’ diameter.
Do those clean water mullet still smell like mullet?
Interested in what you think of the Daiwa Reel
I broke it in really good today. Love it, I have always liked Daiwa but it's been a while since I've owned one. I'm really happy with what I got now ! (not sponsored, not affiliated with any rod / reel company)
That’s cool man I like how you show love to brands that don’t sponsor you and just share your thoughts still. Good luck can’t wait for the video with the Reel
My uncle caught a 24 inch red in a cast net before while casting for mullet. I don't remember if we kept it though.
That's a good one!!!
