I feel like they aren’t as bulky as they look! I’ve been noticing a lot of sweaters this year look plush but are a softer chenille. I’m not saying thin as in less warm, but maybe they are lighter.
You can do it by wearing cropped sweaters as they have less bulk to them. Some more tricks would be to tuck the hem of the sweater in and into your bra, and use hair ties. Another one would be to use a belt to hold the hem of the sweater, and the sweater is cropped based on where you place the belt on your midriff. These are some tricks that you can try but they don’t always work.
Hi, I’m just another viewer but I did see this on another video. If the sweater is bulky, then tuck the front of the sweater UP, TUCK IT INTO THE BOTTOM OF YOUR BRA! Then it will not make a big bulge in your pants. Let the back of the sweater just hang down.
I love this micro trend video idea, so much valuable advice contained here! Please do more! I regret donating my high waisted, wide leg brown pants now that they are in fashion again🙄
I know what you mean, I literally just threw out a gorgeous pair of DL1961 bell bottom jeans that fit me perfectly and cost a bundle but I didn’t think I’d every wear them again. Now I’ve seen 3 videos saying they’re hot again.
@@marthaross6301 I wish I could get my bell bottoms out of the trash! I cannot believe I threw them out because I hadn’t worn them in a couple of years but they fit great and now they are back in style! Just my luck!
I'm a super fan of the color brown. Brown is a color that looks good on me and it also looks great on you too... As you shared brown doesn't work for everyone. I always get compliments when I wear brown and people will say I wish I could wear brown but not for them ...not part of their coloring I really enjoy your videos Keep it up... your beautiful and are doing a fantastic job . Love watching and learning.
Wow! I haven't worn brown since 2004. I still have a pair of tall brown boots and styling it with grey is brilliant. I will try it! I recently bought a burgundy sweater and love the color however, I prefer it with grey. I love the video concept with micro trends. Keep it up, Lydia. Thanks.
As a very fair ginger, brown IS my black every year anyway so I really appreciate this video. I agree that it is always around and there is always a way to wear it. Perhaps now, as in the 90's and 70's, we can be more bold with it and really go head to toe. I'm loving all of the warm caramelly camels out there right now. Such a rich pallete and so welcome to my eyes. Between watching lots of videos on interiors and fashion I'm 100% over greyscale rooms/outfits. Of course I'm biased as I look like I'm dying in greyscale & positively come alive in warm bright colors. Ambers, rusts, & creams are finding their place in my Fall capsule. I'm also using dark olive green as a new-to-me neutral because I found a few gems and had to ring the changes... they go with virtually everything!
Those colors you mentioned in your comment would be amazing on you. And those colors are my go- to colors I look for as I’m similar in coloring ( though I dye my hair auburn!). I buy mainly beige, cream, white, brown and camel. I’ve also dipped my toes into dark olive and it’s becoming a favorite neutral. It’s great with beige and cream. I don’t look good in black either. I’ve got black jeans and a couple of black t shirts and that’s all.
@@EngyAmr Yes, isn't it fascinating how different we can seem to be on paper yet some of the same tones flatter us better than others... I'm happy to support businesses that fill in gaps for people of color and I certainly benefit since it is rare to find things in my colors. I snap them up when I can!
Great video, Lydia! I love brown and actually have quite a few pieces. I don't think I've ever worn it head to toe so will give it a try! Gosh, you certainly look good in that maroon/brown color!

Great tips on wearing brown! I haven't worn brown since the 90s! 😄 I love the idea of brown and burgundy. I'm going to try it for Thanksgiving. Thank you!! 🤎
Thank you for the burgundy with brown suggestion! I have a pair of burgundy slim fit cord trousers which fit well but I was struggling to feel current in them. Now have paired them with my brown turtle neck and brown knee high boots and I love it! Thanks, Lydia. Always enjoy your videos 🥰
I’ve just been so stuck since coming back out of the house, all of my old clothes don’t fit, or are boring to me now and I just don’t know what I like. Videos from you-although don’t cover my rocker crazy anything goes vibe that I usually am drawn to- do help me out SO much because add a couple spikes here and there and I’m suddenly very appropriate and also not which is helping to kickstart me back into leaving the house again.
Love the brown pairing with burgundy! I have a cute burgundy sweater dress and brown suede boots. Don’t know why I have not paired these before, but will certainly go for it!
If ever you want to sell the Sancia belt...that is exactly what I have been looking for and I would buy it from you in a heartbeat! I have a pair of shoes that match that perfectly and I have struggled to find anything that would so perfectly coordinate with them!

Banana Republic has a brown and black neckerchief that looks really nice. You can wrap it around your neck a few times and tie it in a knot like I saw the Parisiennes do or wear it down and tied. I mix brown and black. If I wear all brown, my son calls me the UPS man.
Hey Lydia, thanks for the video! :) What I would love to see more in your videos is some haul videos, where you try on all those alternatives you link next to your own beautiful clothes. So that. you actually try on those alternatives, because your clothes are beautiful but it's hard to see from the photo if the alternative is actually comparable, and we are interested in clothes that we actually could go and buy now:) I hope it makes sense!;)
I love brown and teal or brown and light purple. Or even brown and gray for something more neutral. I wear more color because black or pure white aren't colors that look the best on me. I find brown is a color that you can often buy second-hand, which is where I've found most of my pieces 🤎

Long cardigans maybe? 🤨 Any advice? Maybe some vest? I love brown with burgundy, yellow, ecru, orange and olive green on me. 🥰 I also have suede leather skirt, knee-high boots (they are like 20 years old now, my heart never allowed me to throw it away as it's made from high quality Italian leather, it's buttery soft and it was very expensive at that time 💸).
