That's interesting about getting all animals for build-a-fig. My daughter Julie is making a forest MOC and this might be a way we can get some more small animals for it.
I too fell victim to the Ninjago gwp/not gwp. And I too, am coming up quickly on the 60 day window. But I also have no interest in basically anything available right now. It's a struggle! I'm even hemming and hawing about the x-wing for may 4th. I hear it's 4x points, but I also hear it's not that great of a set
Yeah it’s a real problem. It’s really become a struggle deciding what I really want and what I will do with it if I buy it. You could always just buy a keychain or brick separator and pay for shipping so you don’t lose your reward. I got the Xwing last May 4th and I enjoyed it. I do look forward to the Star Wars gwp and will be redeeming my second code then.
I just spent the last two hours with the latest Bricking News. It made my day! So thanks for that. I will be watching for your upcoming burning BrickLink questions on the Afool podcast. I also went in on the Ninjago micro builds. Mine are still sealed but I think they are adorable and will most likely build them. I found it interesting to discover that the ability to purchase another “unlocks” after a certain time period. I’m working up to making my May 1st buying strategy and I have a question that I don’t know if you could help me with: Do you know how the promos and 2x/4x points apply when purchasing with points? Somehow I don’t imagine LEGO will want to give me 4x points for something I purchase with points! Thanks :-)
I never redeem points when it’s double points (or more) as you don’t earn point on redeemed points only cash that you spend. So if you are buying Star Wars stuff that has any bonus points, my recommendation is to use points later. That is unless you are done buying Lego forever. If that’s the case burn all the points and get out but we both know that’s never going to happen.

15 animals for $10 is about as good as you can do. It’s just a matter of finding the parts you want.
