The buns looked great ❤ I have cried when all 4 of mine went on residential, and I still cry now when my 22 year old daughter leaves to go home to Sussex, she lives there now and it's 3 hours from Norfolk and I just miss her so much. I like to keep my brood together xx

Awe I hope Zachary had a fab time at his residential. It's so difficult when they go on their 1st residential and I think it's even worse when are kids with additional needs are away. My son in p7 had his 1st residential & it was hit & miss until the last minute if he would go, as he flip flopped. He enjoyed it but found it very very stressful, but his teacher was fantastic with him...he was away over his birthday so I got a special cake made ..blooming £75 & his teacher took videos & sent them to me...I cried more. I completely empathise with you Claire, it really is hard but just the start of a different chapter, and it is BETTER FOR THEM to have freedom from us and to fix their own basic problems. It really is so difficult for us watching them grow up, particularly boys. Enjoy your weekend Claire xxx

Hi Claire He will have a great time. I cried when 2 of mine left home and I got 2 home with me. My eldest is 31 this year and I still cry but letting go for them to enjoy life is the best gift a mother can do. They will always be our babies. ❤

It crazy how every day we always have so much to do, i always wake up with a to do list running through my head of everything i need to get done or where i need to be. Yum, lemon curd is soooo yum! little girls shoes are so cute. how funny yesterday i went shopping with the fam shoes shopping and we all got wellies to. yes to stressful shoe shopping, its so hard!, its so annoying and hard. The weather over there looks so nice at the moment. nice to see you all going to parks and having lunch out. How exciting for Zac to have a trip. I think next year when tim has his first camp with school i will be the same. its scary for us mums, but they will be fine and he will have a great time and its good for them. you are allowed to feel those feelings its normal and ok! yes let us know how he goes, i bet he has the best time. and i bet you did ok too! xx
Aw yes I love the summer! The weather has been pretty good the last couple of weeks! But the warm weather has been slow to come this year!! Zack had a great time away, but missed home too. It was really odd just having the two kids at home for the week! You're absolutely right, always SO much to remember, the list goes on and on doesn't it. Hope you guys are all ok xxx

I promise you he will be fine. It is one of the hardest things to do as parents to let our children venture out into the world without us. But they tend to surprise us with how well they cope. Trust the foundation you’ve laid for him.❤

First I’m proud to be an American where we don’t have to send the kids anywhere for a trip. Second I think that is probably why they want you to send the kid on the trip, so they have to solve problems themselves.
Oh we don't have to send them, it's optional, but it's lovely if they can and want to go, and have the experiences - especially as they did activities that we wouldn't do as family - caving, kayaking, rock climbing. He had a lovely time but he's glad to be home! 🥰
