    Flatland id
agree but if your on mountains or valleys like the Scottish highlands you’ll still need a dog to flush if it’s a long way off.

I think they are a great bit of kit, I love a dog but would really enjoy mixing the two dog and thermal, bit expensive for me.
I remember the fights Carl and Richie got for me with theirs really gave a sporting few flights, just brilliant.
Now we're back with my lovely dogs which I love, but one day would love a thermal to just shorten the odd slip .

Hi dave, what's your thoughts on european brown hare syndrome and the idea that RHDV2 has jumped from rabbits to the hares? I've seen a massive decrease in the population of rabbits in Lancashire over the past 10 years and I'm worryingly seeing less and less hares. How's the impact on the rabbits and hares down in Northamptonshire?

Rabbits here only just making a comeback from it after ten years . Hares so far haven’t seen any evidence of them vanishing from disease but it’s been on our minds for a few years for sure !

Is it safe to work a dog with eagles.

Same as ferrets with a hawk.
Some folk work sausage dogs with theirs but my wife would let me take the bedlingtons out with him!

Thats my current issue haha. Neither of my dogs would be suitable to take hawking. One is a hyperactive german shepherd who would be more interested in chasing the bird, and the other is a fat old jack russel who cant be arsed going outside if its not a lovely warm sunny day@@falconry.davesharpenatureboy
