  • The Ohio Valley Military Society hosted yet another great show for military history buffs and collectors in Wilmington, Ohio on June 7 and 8, 2024 at the Roberts Centre, 123 Gano Road, Wilmington, Ohio. The first segment is a superb Imperial Japanese Army Officer's samurai sword, hand made ancient blade in WWII mounts, a superb piece which was sold by one of the fine vendors who specialized in Japanese swords.
With my follow up video of the Max Show, I focused on examining items.

Thank you! I will start another channel, focused on militaria. Just bread and butter stuff. What every collector wants. No Adolf mustaches, no fluff. Look for "Pops Militaria"

Charlie Brown was a B-17 pilot. His story was told by Adam Makos in the excellent book “A Higher Call.” He died in 2008.

yes, that was Charles "Lester" Brown. I have the print, a "Higher Call," by John D. Shaw which portrayed that devine moment in time when LW pilot, Franz Stigler, was a gentlemen. This PH was issued to a Charles P. Brown, a black patriot who served in the Engineers in WWII. I research and collect Purple Hearts. Needless to say the name caught my eye. Also not to be confused with the Peanuts character lol Anyways, gonna set up a separate channel on militaria illustrating what original stuff is supposed to look like. Thank you for honoring our patriots
