We have a large collection of antique toys of all descriptions, including doll houses. I know that feeling well....when you receive the large parcel, carefully, but excitedly unwrap it.....like childhood Christmases relived every time.

Oh my! How utterly lovely! I thought Bliss right away but the Reed house is sweet. Love the soothing background and very adept filming. Have you seen the house Old Curiosity Shop acquired attic fresh? Check out his utube. It's humongous! I have my mom's early 30s doll house and just love to play and dream. We're never too old to be transported to a childhood memory of sweeter days. Thank you so much for sharing!🧓
I totally enjoyed this video. The house is wonderful and the occupants are so lovely. The bird looks like he is a deep thinker and pondering on something very important.
I think not that many hands. The shape it's in looks more like it has been in the attic (a dry place) for ages, after the first owner stopped playing with it.

It reminded me of a lovely miniature museum that used to be on Wilshire Blvd near the La Brea Tar pits. Oh my, the beauty in that place! That was really a great score and as we saw on Instagram this morning, it will definitely be put to good use. Well done. I'm glad you are not going to gussy it up too much; those of us who age naturally, realize that reality is so much more beautiful than looking like a mannequin.

The usual thing to do to preserve these old lithographed pieces is to keep them in a stable, not too dry or wet atmosphere, away from light. That's what I'll be doing. There are a few places where the edges of the paper are loose that I'll use acid-free glue very, very lightly to secure them. You don't want to try to coat/cover the original surface, because it usually leads to disaster. So I'll just make sure it has a comfy, safe space to live in.

Can you coat the outside with something to keep the paper from further rippling/deterioration? Lovely little home!
