speaking from personal experience, you can use pore strips sometimes, but the best they can do for you is nothing. you don't need a 15 step skincare routine, ALL you need is to wash your face once in the morning, once at night, use 1 moisturizer after washing that works for YOU (not something influencers tell you to buy, you just gotta trial and error your way through it, also they don't need to be expensive to be good), and wear sunscreen when you go outside. My skin doesnt react badly to pore strips. My cheap-ass solution is using a strip once every 1-2 weeks (always immediately following a hot shower) to clean out any buildup, and using a salicylic acid cleanser 1-2 times a day to prevent/slow down buildup. Probably not as great as using a bunch of expensive products, but 1 month in and my pores look better than they ever have

I’ve used these for years with no negative reactions. While they aren’t as effective as a hydro facial, they do help with at home maintenance. I find they work best for me after using a charcoal mask 🤷🏽♀️
Same experience here. My skin is very clear after these strips. When I stopped using them I had problems with skin because I wasn’t removing all the dead cells and stuff. Maybe it’s not the best product out there but it works for me.
You don’t need all those products!! You could use Jojoba oil to cleanse or massage your face with and wipe off with a wet towel and make sure to use a good moisturizer afterwards. I do this routine at night, day time I use a regular face wash and moisturize. You will see a huge difference in a week!!
Wash your face with warm warm water, not hot not cold, use soap, rinse and use cold water to close your pours. Shower the same way, warm water soap, then rinse with cold.

I am a person with darker skin and using pore strips has never left a mark, why do people hate it so much. It works, it doesn't damage your skin, it doesn't go that deep
basically she’s recommending a long term solution you might want to invest in if you are really having an issue whereas pore strips are more temporary solutions
I’ve always had the sebaceous on my nose and chin and never used any type of strips, they always seemed harsh and I don’t play when it relates to my skincare. As you stated here, we can find things to help lesson it, but nothing is one hundred percent going to stop the buildup.
This is a very natural process of the skin; it doesn't represent an illness nor a problem. But you can exfoliate your face with a gentle exfoliant. I have that same problem. So, at least every two to three days, I exfoliate.
Tea treat oil. $5 at your local Walmart. Tried everything doctors recommended for years... Had am estetician recommend tea tree oil... Acne and I'm talking sebaceous...was gone within two weeks and I had it for years I'm talking bleeding acne. Gift from God. If you still have the acne, try it. It will change your life.
Just rub ice 3 times a day. The coldness will tighten the pores in your skin around those areas and all the dirt and oil that’s stuck in your skin will get squeezed out. And no dirt or oil will get in when the pores tighten up. Make sure to wash and scrub those areas with warm water before so the pores are open because of the heat. Then apply ice.
@@koukakouta but what the person said in their comment could be helpful for those with sensitive skin (I don't have sensitive skin and can do the pore strips more than once a week, but my twin can't do it once without her nose being irritated and peeling)

Lol no way. Nose strip feels so awesome whenever I remove to remove and my skin becomes so smoooth afterwards. I’m not ditching it 😂😂😂 and besides, it’s so satisfying to check all the stuff that came out 😂

I just make sure to regularly clean my face and before I go to bed, I use a clear skin thing that’s in a blue bottle that’s designed to help with spots and preventing them. It’s usually around £3 or £4 in the uk
well the difference is the long-term and short term effects, if you really have a severe issue with those pores/sebaceous filaments then you may want to invest that money into something that might do you better in the long term. Pore strips though cheaper are fairly temporary solutions a lot of the time and frankly can be pretty rough on your skin making things worse. It’s all about research and personal preference
i remember hearing that pore strips can make your pores appear larger when i was in my peak breaking out / bad skin time, and i have never used them again loll

From all of the dermatologist videos who appeared in my feed, i thought this will be another ads, but she gave tips that actually reasonable, realistic and tbh, easy she's not like *"if you want to get clear skin, you need to use this skincare from this brand that only sold in Korea/Russia so you need to buy in online and pay extra for shipping fee"* so idk why people trashing on her :') for North America, I've seen a wide selection of products at various prices that contain the ingredients she said, from a cheap drugstore skincare to high-end ones, so you just need to find the one with your budget. Niacinamide and retinol is still new in my country so they're still pretty expensive, there's no "affordable" version of them, yet. Also it might seems unnecessary and bothersome, but i think it's helpful for people learn the ingredients of their skincare like the way they check ingredients for food, not only you'll know what chemical do what but also prevent you getting break out from allergies and strong chemicals for people with sensitive skin :)
Pore strips are good, but definitely just a like rare thing you do, because if you do it frequently that’s not good, I personally only recommend doing this when it’s really getting bad and it’s the only option you have

speaking from personal experience, you can use pore strips sometimes, but the best they can do for you is nothing. you don't need a 15 step skincare routine, ALL you need is to wash your face once in the morning, once at night, use 1 moisturizer after washing that works for YOU (not something influencers tell you to buy, you just gotta trial and error your way through it, also they don't need to be expensive to be good), and wear sunscreen when you go outside. I am so serious when I say you do not need ANYTHING else unless you have a condition that needs targeted attention with some type of specific ingredients
No. Personal experience is not expertise this will not work for most people, it ALWAYS depends on person.
Kinda yes, but also no. I did just cleanse my face, moisturized and put on sunscreen and it did work to a degree but I'm just so oily I have to use a serum to control it. I'm really not kidding about the oiliness either🥲
Edit: And yes completely right in that products don't have to be expensive, drugstore is also really good!! Some brands are Cerave, E.l.f, Neutrogena etc
@@Robloxian-micheal69420 Maybe reread what I said? I put emphasis on using products that work for each person individually, and that you may need to use other products if you have a condition that needs targeted attention. Seems like you only read the first sentence.
@@NoMoonsOnMars @marg4581 Oh yes that's exactly what I'm referring to when I say you may need things if your skin has an issue that needs targeted attention! Serums can be really useful for people with oily skin and I'm glad you found something that works well for you, I know it can be difficult to figure all that out lol
@@liddolbee yeah maybe reread what I said. A three step skincare won't work for most people, you ca have stuff that works for you but if a 15 step sincare works for you why stop it to follow someone else's advice?

That's the smile that loves money
I don't use the big patches, I only use normal pimple patches for my pimples. Other than that, I don't use strips.
Basically same but I have some large pimple patches to get large areas but they work the same
I use duct tape for pores on my nose ( you have to reapply it a lot of times for it to clean it a lot) and i just use lemons mixed with water and baking soda for pimples
Can confirm, I had almost this exact routine a couple months back and I never saw my nose pores so clear. Can also confirm, my wallet was close to crying four weeks in and the next best thing I did was cut sugar, sleep, use Cerave and sunscreen on the daily. It's about the same. These have always been fine for me but my skin is not prone to breakouts and I use them very seldom, maybe once a year if I notice a build up. Thank you for the info!
Probably the most beautiful looking doctor ever 🥰
My skin doesnt react badly to pore strips. My cheap-ass solution is using a strip once every 1-2 weeks (always immediately following a hot shower) to clean out any buildup, and using a salicylic acid cleanser 1-2 times a day to prevent/slow down buildup.
Probably not as great as using a bunch of expensive products, but 1 month in and my pores look better than they ever have
And, you can still afford to buy food...
This but once every 10 years
This is what I do too. I just use Neutrogena acne wash and exfoliate. I also use rosehip seed oil which helps

Maybe it’s not the best product out there but it works for me.
it works for me too

You don’t need all those products!! You could use Jojoba oil to cleanse or massage your face with and wipe off with a wet towel and make sure to use a good moisturizer afterwards. I do this routine at night, day time I use a regular face wash and moisturize. You will see a huge difference in a week!!
Finally someone actually explained the reason 😭 so many people just say, "don't use them, "they are too harsh"
Wash your face with warm warm water, not hot not cold, use soap, rinse and use cold water to close your pours. Shower the same way, warm water soap, then rinse with cold.
My skincare routine is:
Warm/hot water + cloth
charcoal soap + water cloth
Water cloth
Light tapping with paper towel
Moisturizer
Nice, clean, clear, and shiny skin
I’m 17 btw
I did this and my little blood vessels popped up to the surface. I used to squeeze my nose a lot when I was younger but then I had it lasered so thankfully it also went away on its own.
Where did you go to get it done? Dermatologist, etc?
Same thing happened to me! Should definitely do the lazer! How many times you had to do this to get the result you wanted?
@@Orionyait is a dermatologist usually. Look at all options to treat acne though because if you have good medical insurance some acne treatments are covered completely by your insurance minus a small copay and some (like laser or chem peels) are considered cosmetic (not covered at all). If you have the money for cosmetic procedures, great, if you don't have too much or find laser out of budget see if your insurance covers you seeing and talking with a dermatologist (if you like them I suggest you stick with them in the future).
I just wash my face with water and coffee grounds and I've been complimented for my skin pretty often I feel like you really don't need 12 things to make your skin look good
Can u explain it in brief😢
yes lets tell that to a board certified dermatologist because she obviously doesnt know what she’s talking about
anyways everyone’s skin is different and has different levels of sensitivity. what works for you might not work for everyone buddy
@@worganalamala2817 I was just pointing out the fact that you don't need a million different chemicals on your face I'm sure she knows what she's talking about but that skincare routine seems excessive
I like that you said pores "appear larger" rather than actually get larger. A lot of people don't realize that the pores stay the same size, it's just that they appear larger or smaller
Please explain, I don't get it.
okay but the above one was so satisfying 😭😭
Imma listen to whatever skin advice she gives because she glows
She turned me on to the Naturium brand, and my skin has never been the same.
thank you! I have sebaceous filaments and I had listen to another dermatologist and he said if you have these than use an oil based cleanser and rub it on your nose for five minutes, use a clay mask here and there, and use niacinamide. But I didn’t get an exact routine so I was kind confused and now I know what to do ☺️
Also, using the strips can fatigue the pores and lead to a more 'lax' and 'open' appearance.
I am a person with darker skin and using pore strips has never left a mark, why do people hate it so much. It works, it doesn't damage your skin, it doesn't go that deep
They want to sell their cheap laundry detergent that causes even more damage on the skin 😂
It’s just our nose we put the strips so what break out you’ll get from that
she didn’t say dark skin, she said if your skin heals with dark marks, aka do you get dark marks and hyperpigmentation when your skin heals
basically she’s recommending a long term solution you might want to invest in if you are really having an issue whereas pore strips are more temporary solutions
It leaves marks on my skin and hurts so much. I'm a brown person with very sensitive skin and those strips will be very damaging.
I’ve always had the sebaceous on my nose and chin and never used any type of strips, they always seemed harsh and I don’t play when it relates to my skincare. As you stated here, we can find things to help lesson it, but nothing is one hundred percent going to stop the buildup.
No, it’s not going to eliminate but it sure does help, over years your skin will thank you.
@@amandabanks173good looking out
Just rub ice 3 times a day.
Your pores can't tighten up, that's a myth
@@koukakouta then how was it easier for my dad to empty a black head that was on/near my shoulder blade when I hot soaked it?
@@TheHousehold2066 that's because you softened the blackhead, pores have been scientifically proven to not open, close or shrink
@@koukakouta but what the person said in their comment could be helpful for those with sensitive skin (I don't have sensitive skin and can do the pore strips more than once a week, but my twin can't do it once without her nose being irritated and peeling)
@@TheHousehold2066 it's not a thing tho, the person is wrong on so many levels. Pores don't open and close with heat, and they can't squeeze out dirt while doing so 💀 oil based cleanser clean out pores, and along with other products, you can minimise their appearance, and people with sensitive skin can find products that work for them. The only thing warm water/steam can do is soft the dirt so it's easy wash out, and the only thing ice can do is help with puffiness.

It can damage/irritate your skin, and if your skin heals with any type of mark it might not look flattering. and you could search online for ways to check everything that came out the pores.
Just take care of your skin so this isn’t necessary anymore
I just make sure to regularly clean my face and before I go to bed, I use a clear skin thing that’s in a blue bottle that’s designed to help with spots and preventing them. It’s usually around £3 or £4 in the uk

I honestly think less is more when it comes to skincare as long as you have a routine amd products that are for your skin type
So like 10 different products instead of 1 simple pore strip? I'll risk it and save money
Same goes for me
well the difference is the long-term and short term effects, if you really have a severe issue with those pores/sebaceous filaments then you may want to invest that money into something that might do you better in the long term. Pore strips though cheaper are fairly temporary solutions a lot of the time and frankly can be pretty rough on your skin making things worse. It’s all about research and personal preference
And that's why yall will keep getting the results you get. Don't complain afterwards 😂

From all of the dermatologist videos who appeared in my feed, i thought this will be another ads, but she gave tips that actually reasonable, realistic and tbh, easy
she's not like *"if you want to get clear skin, you need to use this skincare from this brand that only sold in Korea/Russia so you need to buy in online and pay extra for shipping fee"* so idk why people trashing on her :')
for North America, I've seen a wide selection of products at various prices that contain the ingredients she said, from a cheap drugstore skincare to high-end ones, so you just need to find the one with your budget.
