I love that you included books where the MC was all different ages. And the Missy Carmichael one sounds so sweet. I love that from your description it sounds like it's a coming of age of a 70 year old. We need that content more often in mainstream media. 😍❤️

The Christmas Sisters was made into a Hallmark movie last year, titled North to Home. Chocolate chip cookie murder is also a movie in the Hallmark Hannah Swenson series. I watch way too much Hallmark in case you hadn't noticed but I am loving your book recommendations.
I just finished the audiobook of “The Bookshop on The Corner”. It was so delightful. Totally the lighthearted book I needed! And the accent of the narrator was so wonderful to listen to.

I‘m a new subscriber and a lot of people have probably mentioned this already but I‘m going to write it anyway: for all the people who do speak/understand german, there‘s a whole series (18 books) called „Gilmore Girls“ which literally tells the story of Rory and Lorelai! I don‘t know if they do exist in other languages and it‘s been quite a while since I read them, but I quite liked this series.

sarah addison allen has slight magical aspects to all of her books but they are mostly just cozy small town type reads, garden spells and it’s sequel remind me a lot of alice hoffman’s practical magic! 🤎

You’re actually right. It doesn’t take place is a “bookshop” but rather a book bus. Our main character concerts an old bus into a book shop and often parks the book bus on a corner in this little town in Scotland. Hope that makes sense 🙈 It’s really really good!

I recommend reading Laura Resau's "The Indigo Notebook" series. Its a series of three books, I just finished reading the first two, and I will be reading the final book for the Gilmore Girls Readathon. This book series features a mother and daughter relationship, that is much like Lorelai and Rory's, but instead of living in a small town, they have spent their whole lives traveling the world, and each year they move to a new country where they meet a whole new cast of characters, that gives you Stars Hollow vibes. Layla got pregnant at 19 when she was on a trip to Greece, she claims that she was drunk off the moon, and although she remembers details of Zeeta's father, she doesn't remember much about him except his love for Jimi Hendrix and guitar playing. After she got pregnant, her parents begged her to come home in order to raise her child, but she decided to continue traveling along with her daughter, and wherever they go, they are often mistaken for sisters or bffs, rather than as mother and daughter. Layla's personality reminds me so much of Lorelai, and Zeeta is just like Rory. These books are beautifully written, and i definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a Gilmore Girls like vibes.

I think you probably know this, but you switched the author and the main character's name for the Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder. I have been meaning to read the book because I have seen the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries tv movie of this book and it is so good!
Sorry but, Joanne Fluke is the author. Hannah Swenson is the heroine/protagonist in the book. I only know this because I have watched the Murder, She Baked series on the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries channel. Love your channel.
