Thank you for watching everyone! If you want more exercises that can help with this, I recommend watching my video here on hip extension: th-cam.com/video/KfoMTSD_y5w/w-d-xo.html If you want more of a comprehensive approach, check out my Beginner Body Restoration program that is designed to help with posture and feeling better with movement: www.conorharris.com/beginner-body-restoration
You're awesome man. I've been dealing with hip and back pain in years, and I've been following many other channels in the past 2-3 years trying to educate myself on the anatomy of the body when it comes to posture/breathing/moving, but only since I've seen some of your videos have I started actually improving. Thank you, and rock on, you'll help many people.
Conor, you are without a doubt THE best physiotherapist on TH-cam. You find causes and not symptoms and waste no time. Your channel is a fucking treasure, everything you point out lines up perfectly with my own experiences with my chronic pain
Another great video! Thanks again. I love watching you walk in the beginning, first properly, then showing the lower back compensation for lack of hip extension. I saw it and said to myself, "That is exactly the problem I have!!!!"
Excellent video! Very informative! When demonstrating the exercises, I would like it if you mark the “healing” leg (maybe with colored tape) or mention which one it is.
WOW!!! I have said this very time I watch a video you produce! I have a deep tissue massage therapy appointment in a few hours, and dread the "ungluing" of my sore, stiff, weak glutes and soleus. I will do some of these stretching and strengthening moves beforehand today and see if it helps. I will also definitely add these to my growing list of stretching and strengthening exercises that I'm learning from you. Thanks again for the way you and Clever Trevor have worked out a way for him to demo incorrect moves as you discuss them, because it's usually what I'm doing wrong.🤪 I want to get the most out of everything you are teaching!
This is probably exactly what I've been needing. I do in fact have a locked knee on one side almost all the gait cycle and I've occasionally tried to force it stay unlocked. The most difficult part of the second exercise is keeping the weight in the midfoot i.e. constantly biasing towards the heel when the habit is leaning to the ball of the foot.
Reporting back after a couple of sessions. The second exercise is the heaviest exercise I've ever done, my leg is shaking. And I squatted 100 kg with ease. The end touching the floor does get a bit achey on the knee. I feel like my feet are a bit long, I seem to have more knee bend than in the demonstration. I don't know if I really feel much soleus and glutes (maybe glute towards the end of the rep), but I get massive amounts of lower hamstring, both sides shifting throughout the rep.
Dude.. I've been trying to figure this problem out for over half a decade. I've been in friggin agony. I know I have been walking wrong, just couldn't figure out what I was doing. Thank you so much for this vid
Damn that these exercise made me realise my right glute med is really weak and makes my hips imbalanced af. I tend to want to ”poke out” my right hip with these one leg exercises instead to keep neutral to not put tension on my weak ass I guess. Think I’ts bc of some issues with the rotation in my hip as well. I’ve realized earlier I have some issues with my hips bc I then to move my right hip ”down backwards” when I walk instead if keeping the hips aligned, and I feel tightness in the left side of my back
Very interesting. If I had a criticism I'd say it's kinda too complicated... at least for me. It seems a lot of detailed information to keep in your head, and it's difficult to keep up with all these specialized exercises for any period of time. Good information, but perhaps you just need someone on this end that is more disciplined.
Conor what is your opinion about chiropractic care I have had good results from them Do you believe if a person gets a grasp on what your teaching with your pri techniques that they would ever need to see a chiropractor
Months later but maybe you guys will see this… what to do if I am losing contact with that knee reference of the bench in the second exercise? Does that represent the limit I should work from, like that’s my maximum range and I should work from there to gradually extend it? Any advice?
Idk if you're just explaining this really poorly or not, but your glute doesn't suddenly shut off and get overpowered by your lower back when you lock your knee.
Normal to feel a lot of stress in the arch of the foot during exercise #2? My arch is collapsed so maybe I have to keep doing this until my feet can handle it...
I have both of your programs, and i have alot of pain in my hip/ SIJ / piriformis. Do you suggest i start with lower foundation first or the body restoration program?
Hi conor, I have a hip problem that has been going on for months. When I have no pain in the anterior pelvis, when I do it posteriorly, the tendon stretches as if it will jump out of the quadriceps muscle and causes extreme pain and really tightness. I cant even make a glute bridge . I'd be very happy if you have any helpful suggestions.

Definitely great for how young he seems to look, very wise and professional for his age!
This may surprise you,but he mentioned in one of his videos,he’s not a physiotherapist.sure did surprise me.

Wow! Another banger! I have the whole right side of my body fighting me and after doing a few sets of these exercises i'm noticeably walking better.

Interesting second exercise. Looks very similar to how Ian Markow explains a hip hinge

❤thank u!
Connor, can you make a video about heel strike vs mid foot strike in this series? Thanks for the video !
Amazing

I have had good results from them

hey Connor, try watching Grown and Healthy on TH-cam. He has some more information about the biomechanics of walking
Hi any thoughts on walking backwards good or bad.
How many of these should I do per day?
